Bad Billing- Zero Customer Service- Attempted Extortion of 3 months Mailbox Fees- Was with them a number of years. Over the last 3 months they billed me over $400 for a mailbox! When I questioned why, said he was behind on billing....really. Went in to return my key as I was fed up with it...He refused to give me my keys deposit back! Said he hadn't billed me last 3 months. Please beware with doing business with ipostal1 as the people who run the 5424 SUNOL BLVD STE 10, PLEASANTON CA 94566 location are violently rude and disrespectful and are completely unhelpful with locating mail that has been delivered. I am shocked by the way I was treated & spoken to when calling to enquirer about a package that was showing delivered to my box here. A Indian man belligerently screamed at me when I asked him if it were possible my package that said "delivered" the previous day could've been delivered on Saturday or Monday because the tracking said delivered on Sunday in which they were closed. When he initially answered the phone, as soon as I spoke the words, "I am looking for a package", he cut me off and extremely rudely said "this is not FedEx". Caught off guard, I responded, "I'm sorry, is this ipostal1"?, I "tried" to explained to him I was looking for a package that says it was delivered Sun 12/18/22. He got incredibly irate, and without him putting me on hold and taking the time to look for the package, he angrily stated they were closed on Sundays and I was forcing him to find my package. After him screaming at me all types of absurdities and without allowing me to get a word in, he hung up in my face. I am shocked & cannot believe the outburst, rage and evil that was coming from him. He is clearly dealing with mental disruptions and should not be working for the public. I've never experienced such an unwarranted vicious response. I've had this address for a few years now and this was only my second time ever having to call them directly about an item. I am immediately closing the box and hoping the company will prorate a refund. Like he looked into my eyes, deep into my soul, and wished ill feelings toward my unborn grandchildren. Look, it's his own posted policy that he accepts pre-paid UPS and USPS packages. There's no need to be upset at patrons who are using the service. Even though I wasn't obligated to, I decided to buy some packing supplies from him just to support his business. It was my First time to drop off the return package at this store and they didn't give me recipe. I went back there After two weeks to ask a recipe because I couldn't track the package, the guy was refused my request and was very rude to me , I gave him the tracking number, he said it's not in his system.and then the guy printed out the simple of recipe to show me that they don't take any responsibility for the lost. Better off going to an actual Post Office. I shipped a package through PakMail because it is closer to where I live. Biggest mistake. They charged me $3.74 and said the package could take 2 weeks to get the East Coast, no tracking number included. Well wouldn't you know it, 2 weeks goes by and the recipient never received the package. The Post Office would charge $4.20 for the same weight package and they include tracking. I've never had a problem shipping these size packages through the Post Office, and it takes max 4 days to the East Coast. You will never find me at another PakMail again. Rip-off alert read more

I rarely write reviews but I had to vent about my experience today. When I walked in the owner was nowhere to be found so I began faxing what I needed to send. He came out when I was all done and said my 50 page document would be $75 to fax! The paper on the wall said $1.00 to send to 925 and $1.50 to send out of area. Nowhere does it say he charges $1.50 PER PAGE! That's absolutely outrageous. I asked him to cancel it. It would be cheaper to send it overnight priority mail! He said "you have to pay what's already been sent and then you can take it anywhere for all I care! I pay so much for this machine and you're trying to get away with something for free!" Such a terrible experience. I could have just sent it and left because he didn't come out until I was done, but I would never do that! When it comes to mailing stuff back home, this is the place I go to. Pak Mail is convenient as it is near Raley's so while you can drop off your packages to ship, you can go grocery shopping as well - two birds one stone! You won't have to drive far away again. Pak Mail has got to be the better place of USPS. Every time I come in here, the owner Sam and his wife always has a smile on their face and greets customers on a happy note. They are friendly and easy going. Compare to USPS, I don't have to deal with bad customer service or do I have to wait long long lines. Despite the small parking lot for USPS, I would much rather come here! Pak Mail do offer mailboxes services and it's $300 a year for a medium sized PO box. Their mailboxes service is 24 hours also so you can come anytime! read more

I really don't like giving small businesses bad reviews s I know how hard it is to sustain. Having said that, having your own business means being in it for the right reasons and painting a smile and crafting a good attitude during business hours even when you don't necessarily feel like it. I came in to Pak Mail after the FedEx driver on my street advised me to bring packages there as they are an 'authorized' fedex delivery center who can print labels (at no charge to me). He said that fedex pays them to be able to let customers have that accessibility to more centers around their locations. We, just having moved in to our home, have no printer at hand and so I walked in happy that they would take care of printing the two fedex labels I had at hand. I was so wrong. I walked in and upon explaining to him that I was sent by fedex and that I needed two mailing labels printed, the owner asked me if I thought he was doing non profit / public service operating the store. I responded no - that I didn't think so - at this point pretty confused as to why he was asking me this. He proceeded to give me a lecture on the fact that he doesn't work for free and that fedex doesn't pay him a cent for printing labels or sending their boxes. I stood there in disbelief, agreed to pay him the $2 for printing the labels as I just didn't have the time or energy to run to a fedex store. He told me he always has customers expecting stuff for free and that he was pretty sure I too would leave a bad review just like everyone else does. Yes, this actually happened as I stood there in disbelief. He is apparently angry with life and takes it out on his poor customers. The store location is very central. If he wanted to, he could clean his energy and use it to sort out his messy store and moreso, work on his terrible attitude. Upon reading the reviews below, I completely get that this wasn't just by fluke - one bad day he was having- seems like he behaves badly with a majority of his customers. He once called s customer stupid? How horrible to treat someone like that. Maybe he takes it for granted that he gets to have an ample business space in the Bay Area, where many people yearn to have some land for themselves. I did not look at the reviews before heading to drop off the package here, he was quite rude and snobbish way of replying back, i was dropping off an international DHL package and somehow left with hesitation. Next day i don't get any updates about the pickup and go to the store to enquire and he is outright RUDE and asks me to take the package back, when i say ok and want the package back, he brings it out and throws the package and says to Get Out. I tell him, he can't throw the package that way and its a fragile item and he yells to get out of the store. I tell him - he is rude and thats not the way to talk to customer, he shows his middle finger and screams to get out and gets abusive. I ended up recording parts of him doing all this. Its crazy he yells and screams at customers and threatens and intimidates them. He may need help and is a senior person but the way he speaks, it throws the customers off and can disturb them. Picks out a small box for quick fit..places them inside and seals the box... He then present my shipping options and prices - I picked out my options and off the package went waiting for pick up - and he hands me the tracking number. - Jumping Jesus on a Pogo Stick that was fast service! I came in to send off a package and needed the Fedex shipping label. I was guided here via FedEx's location finder. He told me he couldn't scan the label but I can email it to him. After I emailed it to him and he printed and stuck it on the package, he tells me "that will be $1." I told him that it would have been nice if you had told me beforehand. He continues to inform me how he's not fedex and emailing him, there is a charge "don't you see the sign?" It was sitting behind him in fairly small print. The store is pretty busy looking, it's hard to even know where to direct your eyes to any pricing, let alone a list he has in font size 60 when you're 6 feet away. I just told him I wish he would have told me before he processed everything because I know fedex would have just printed it and taken the package. He told me, "it's ok," but it wasn't. It's not about the $1. It's about how you conduct your business and it would have been nice to just inform your customers especially when this service is complimentary at fed ex locations. It didn't sit right with me that he thinks I'm taking advantage of him. so I told him, "no, it's ok, I rather take it to a different location." He walks to the back, then returns, and says to me as he's crumbling the shipping label "you're a stupid person." Thanks dude. I didn't check the reviews before coming in. Customers, do your job as a CUSTOMER, and ask the business what it charges so you're not surprised at the very end. I agree with Ron. Sam is very professional, and makes sure everything is done correctly. He takes his time, and is always friendly. I have used them for shipping, faxing, copying, notary and even had keys made there. One time I shipped large suitcases out, and Sam went out of his way to find large boxes for me. Returns to Amazon.com are a breeze. etc My only issue would be it is a bit more expensive then going to the post office. But other than that, I would definitely recommend. read more

horrible horrible service. I was there to buy a prepaid envelop with tracking number. An old man about ~60 helped me. He typed so slow, and consistently stopped to help others who came in later. It took him ~25 minutes to finishing typing 2 addresses. When he finished, he charged me $14 for an envelop to be mailed from SF to Pleasanton. I asked for lower price options. he got mad at me, and yelled at me like "you wasted 45 minutes of my time" and asked me to leave. Very bad service and horrible attitude. read more

I can't believe I haven't written a review for this yet! PakMail is the only place I ever mail anything out of. Sam is so much nicer than any post office employees. The first time I went in, I had probably 6 boxes that needed to be mailed out, some were packaged with bubble wrap, some needed some work done. Sam was on it! He padded the boxes that had ANY kind of movement in them, and taped them all up for me. I honestly don't notice any difference in price from here and the post office, but that's probaly because I don't mind paying the extra if there is any, because the service is worth it. I usually go to PakMail 2 or 3 times a week and Sam and his wife are wonderful. I feel like I am being taken care of when I come here. If I come in with an item that needs to be mailed and I'm without a box, I trust Sam to package it up after I leave. I can't say enough good things about this place. :) -Luci read more
