Typically, I am very anxious when I have to get things done at a post office because I tend to have bad experiences. I saw good reviews here and was skeptical. However, I am so glad I came to this post office to get my kids' first US passport applications done. The staff were polite, cordial, and friendly. A very different atmosphere and vibe from any other post office I have ever been to. Tip: I recommend making a morning appt here to handle your kids' passports. Book directly at this specific post office's site. The main USPS passport appt site is always broken. I learned this the hard way. We were in and out under 15 minutes despite 2 toddlers messing around. Plenty of parking. The only thing is the drive up is a little windy but worth it for no wait! Checks are required for the application fees to the US Department of State. Credit Cards are accepted for the application acceptance fees to the post office.

We had an appointment for my son's passport this morning at 11:30am. We were in and out in 6 minutes. It helped that I had both checks written out already. One for $130 (no rush) made out to U.S. Department of State and the other for $35 made out to USPS (but you can pay cash or card for the $35 charge) I can see where it can get pretty busy though as residents are in and out getting their mail and packages. Plenty of parking. Gentleman helping us was very nice and efficient. Overall an awesome experience!

DO NOT COME HERE FOR PASSPORTS! This is a small staff of usually two workers who are already overwhelmed with regular postal work. You are much better off going to the large San Ramon Location on Alcosta to get passports. Expect long wait times even with appointment at this one.

Wow beat kept secret indeed! It is across the golf course from the clubhouse... in a gorgeous historic building. Getting there was an adventure lol, but well worth the time. When driving up, do not turn left into the clubhouse; rather, bear right up toward the "upper parking lot."

I don't know why this post office has such bad reviews. I've been patronizing this location for…read moreyears and they are always so friendly and so knowledgeable. I love coming here. It's never a bad experience and I come at odd hours so it's different people that I get to work with.

I'm giving 2 Stars for the convenience of having a post office I can walk to from Trader Joe's or…read moreStarbucks. I've had a few really bad experiences at this post office that I won't go into, but they were probably the most outrageous experiences I've ever had at a post office anywhere. I'm writing this Review because of what happened yesterday, the cherry on top of my overall experience with them... I walked in at literally 4:30 on the dot and already they had everything shut and no one in sight. My box was too big to fit into the slots at thhis post office, a situation that needs to be remedied. In case you're wondering why I waited until 4:30, I was combining errands in a logical order based on location and appointment times, and the UPS Store would not take my package even though it was a Sure Post Package (a Return to Merchant.) They would accept it if I paid them $2! No way. So I would have been there at 4:15 had I known the UPS Store wouldn't accept a Return Package that was Sure Post! I rang the bell of the window hoping to just hand the prepaid, labeled package to someone since I couldn't get it into their slots, but no one responded. So after trying 3 times and 5 minutes passing, I spoke up because I could hear people working back there and I knew they could hear me. I explained that I got there at 4:30 on the dot & they had obviously closed up early, and all I wanted to do was hand them a package that wouldn't fit through their tiny slots. I don't have the luxury of wasting gas to drive back there, or at that point, driving up to Alamo even. I was at the end of my route and I only venture out 2-3 days per week, if that. No one replied, they simply started making less noise as if I wouldn't know they were back there. C'mon! Then I said ok, I'll wait for the 5 pm pick up, but I just need to know where to take it. Does a truck come to the front of the building, do I need to go out back? Nothing! Crickets. Then I heard someone was rolling a cart towards the back of the post office and I remembered there was a corridor between the post office & Ike's Sandwich Shop. So I ran even though it wasn't even 4:45, and there was a postal enployee putting packages in the back of a USPS truck, so I was able to give him my package. PLEASE PUT UP A SIGN LETTING PEOPLE KNOW WHAT TO DO IF THEY MISS THE 4:30 CLOSING in case their packages can't fit through those ridiculous, tiny slots! The pick up is at 5 o'clock, so the least you can do is provide a very large sign or two, letting people know so they don't waste a trip! Please let me know who I have to complain to in order for you to put in a reasonable sized package collection bin! It has been this way for years, and it's a HUGE inconvenience for those of us who sell items occasionally on eBay (95% of the time losing money in them.) It's also an inconvenience for those of us who need to return packages to many merchants. Items sold on eBay are often misrepresented, and lately it's so often I'm reluctant to buy anymore. I ask the Seller questions but they don't respond. Maybe I need to write a review about eBay! I have respect for USPS as an institution, but I don't understand why you can't do a better job serving the public in some of these ways I mentioned. Also, please get rid of Louis de Joy!
