This is a fantastic location, and what truly makes it stand out is Ben. I remember coming in one day when the line was incredibly long, but Ben handled it with such professionalism and grace. He quickly organized customers based on what they were there for, acknowledged everyone who walked in, and made sure we all knew they were working hard to help everyone as efficiently as possible. His calm, friendly attitude made a stressful situation feel so much smoother. I also love that this location has the self-service Amazon return kiosk. It makes returns incredibly quick and convenient, so even if there's a line at the counter, you can usually be in and out in just a few minutes. I highly recommend this location. Service is usually good enough, not the friendliest, but good enough for the purpose. My complaint is that my box needed 2 feet of tape. Two feet. A roll of tape costs $3.33 on Amazon. It has 56 yards. So my two feet of tape cost me $3.00 plus tax. That is a $29, 900% markup. Better said, 1 cent a foot. It's not the $3.00, it's the absurdity of it all. I feel duped. I was in the store with only 20 mins or so to closing and was stuck with an issue returning my two ottomans to Amazon. Amazon only sent me one label for two boxes and I needed another unique label for the 2nd box in order to ship the ottoman back to Amazon. I got such great support, help and assistance from all three employees in the UPS store, they even talked to Amazon on my behalf to make sure Amazon understood that I was in the store and stuck. They made sure I wouldn't need to come the next day with the ottoman, and they made sure I was getting the full refund. They are a very patient, helpful and efficient team. THANK YOU! read more

Pretty mad about how much I was charged to send a T-shirt. $68 to mail it - fine I get it. It's going to AZ. I needed to buy a box - $12 for the box. Okay, fine. It's a new box. But he charged me a packaging fee FOUR times! So $32 for bubble wrap?!?! For a shirt. I told him I only needed a box. Unfortunately for me I didn't realize until I had paid and left the store. Totally my fault for tapping my card without reviewing the charges. Lesson learned for me. But what a scam - $32 for bubble wrap. I'll do all my own boxing and packing from now on. I went into the store last week, I'm not from the area and I just needed to quickly drop off an Amazon package. I went in and there was a line, no big deal. I decided to wait. Unfortunately, there was a woman behind the counter with glasses and long, dark hair, who was barking orders at the other young gentleman working there, had the most nasty attitude, and seemed like she did not wanna be there. She told customers in line say that if there was anyone with an Amazon return to use the machine to the left. I have never used such machines, and I've unfortunately had experiences where my item has been lost and I've had to deal with that headache of contacting the seller. So I just decided to wait in line so I could get a receipt and ensure that I wouldn't have any headache after. when it was my turn, she saw I had an Amazon return and snatched it out of my hand package did and said that the machines were there to be used! I killed you not this was the rudest thing I have ever heard, and the customer behind me was extremely off spun, that she seemed almost scared to ask for help after I asked her if I could get a receipt, and there was literally no answer from the clerk.!! I figured out how to print a receipt, grabbed it and left the store, and the person behind me just look beyond afraid to ask a question because she had seen the poor treatment I had just received. She was extremely discourteous, and I have no reason to believe she shouldn't be working here other than in the back ripping apart boxes perhaps to get some aggression out because clearly customer service is not her forte. While the owner did message me privately, I appreciate the gesture, and would appreciate a response here below my comment so that my fellow yelpers can see the transparent way businesses can help resolve. I am embarrassed at the number of times I am in the UPS store on a weekly basis. Because of kids carpool and school routes this UPS is the most convenient for me. I have been there when the line is near the door and I have been there when I was the only one in the store. I really like the staff, especially Ben. No matter what, that guy is cool as cucumber and always smiling. He takes even the most difficult customer in stride and I have never seen him NOT in a good mood. Had such a great experience at this UPS Store thanks to Elkan and Ben. I came in with a few packages to ship--some international, some with special instructions--and honestly had no idea what I was doing. Elkan was incredibly patient and walked me through each step without making me feel rushed or dumb (which I really appreciated). He took the time to explain the different shipping options, helped me repackage one of the boxes to make sure it was secure, and even caught a small address mistake I had made. Super friendly the whole time and just genuinely helpful. I went into the store expecting around $100 total based on what I saw online, but Elkan convinced me to get the faster shipping method to ensure my items were handled better. I ended up spending around $700 but it was totally worth it as my items arrived in perfect condition and quickly! He spent a lot of time ensuring my artwork was bubble wrapped so it was very safe and he walked me through how to ensure my items arrived on time by tracking them. I've never shipped before but it was such a streamlined experience and I felt very comfortable. I came in totally stressed out trying to get some last-minute documents printed, signed, and shipped before a deadline. I would not recommend going to this location. I went into the store to get my son's passport picture taken and they charged $27 in total. When we went to turn in our application we were told that there was a shadow on the picture and that they might return it so I had to get it redone at the post office which BTW was only $15. When I went back to ask for a refund they told me that they don't refund on this type of service and the store employee called the owner and I heard her say that she would not give a refund even though it was her employee that did not check to see if the picture would be submittable. I go here all the time but because of this I will no longer go here. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION FOR PASSPORT PICTURES. It's a rip off and they don't train their employees on how to take government required photos. read more

This was my usual Amazon UPS return and has always raved about the customer service here, with the exception of my latest experience. After my fathers recent sudden passing, I had several Amazon medical supplies still unopened to return, and not having the time or heart to go through everything, I brought the boxes to UPS for return. I was a mess and didn't have the boxes sorted. I just wanted everything out of my parents house so my mom didn't have to be reminded of the tragedy that took place. As soon as I arrived, Tamica was extremely rude. When I asked for the boxed to be opened so I can ensure the correct items are being returned I was told that I would be charge a tape fee, which wasn't the case I guess till recently. Another employee relayed that due to the size I was able to get the fee waived. Which made Tamika (sp) unhappy and she was rolling her eyes, while continuing to be rude in tone and attitude so I requested for another person to assist instead. Generally everyone at this store has been kind and extremely helpful, I shouldn't have to tell her what I am going through in-order for Tamika to be human and kind towards others. Editing in reference to UPS Response: My review is in response to your stores customer service - not Amazon. If you'd like to read fine print and stick your policy to your customers, continue operating your store like Sonia has and continue to receive negative feedback. If you want to please your customers, handle issues like this one with good customer service and accommodation. The options provided by Sonia were to 1) leave and make a second trip to tape the small envelope and drive back to the store to try to return again or 2) be upcharged for a small strip of tape less than 6" long (Sonia mentioned that your tape costs have increased, but $2.00 for a small strip of tape is taking advantage). A simple warning and accommodation could have resolved the issue without creating an extremely poor experience. 1 star for being a greedy read more

This was the first time that I used the UPS store for both packaging and shipping. I had five pieces of framed artwork to ship. The management took their time in determining the best way to box them safely in the least amount of boxes. The recipient of the artwork said that everything was well protected when they received it. One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had! I have had my small business box for 22 years, and have never paid a late payment once on my rental. Today I received a call from a collections agency saying how my box has been closed and I have to pay back rent to keep my box active. After calling the owner trying to get some help, I had one of the worst experiences dealing with a simple issue. I tried explaining how I had not received any paper renewal in my box, or late paper notices at any time. They have no interest in dealing with costumers, and only want to spew corporate policies, and certainly have no interest in dealing with a human. I also stated that I didn't want any emails, only the paper renewal, and they would not accommodate this. She said they would only notify by email, and good luck if that doesn't work. They will not me keep my box, WITHOUT AUTOMATIC CREDIT CARD RENEWAL. This is not what I want, or what I agreed to. I said I did not want this, I want to pay via check or credit card as I choose, NOT BE REQUIRED TO DO SO! To top it all off, she said I shouldn't even have a small business sized box, that I AM REQUIRED TO HAVE A MEDIUM SIZED BUSINESS BOX even though I only receive minimal mail or packages. I have had all my business marketing tied to this address for 22 years, and now the new owners only have interest regurgitating the corporate BS. read more

They charge $20 to pick up a package at their store. SERIOUSLY? I called other UPS stores around the area (after this mistake) and it's only $7. That's a HUGE difference. I come in to UPS at least once a week and when I do I'm always greeted with a smile, and Acknowledgment that I have entered. They're always on top of it and never make me feel like a pest when I have Amazon returns. The whole team seems to care and never makes me feel like a nuisance if I don't have my code saved for a return and have to look it up. They work very promptly never have to wait more than 10 minutes even when there's a line out the door. I had a UPS delivery to my home while out of the country, so I payed $6 to divert the package to the local UPS Store. I figured Monday after I get home I can reject the package because the shipper sent the wrong item. Well, I get to the UPS Store asked to return to shipper, wrong item, I'm assured "It will be handled!". I go home and email the shipper letting them know the return is on it's way. Tuesday afternoon I call the UPS Store asking if the package was returned, I'm told "the owner said we can't return it until Friday", It was suggested to me to pick up the package, pay to have it shipped back at $12! What the!!! I was furious. This "UPS Store" is holding my package hostage because they're not getting any revenue from "returning" it back to the sender. I call the UPS Hub in San Ramon and spoke to a supervisor who said the UPS Store cannot hold my package hostage and that they'll send a driver over to pick it up. That seemed to be the only way for me to get it released back to my control. How dare Sonja, that UPS Store Owner, for holding my package hostage because her franchised "UPS Store" isn't getting any revenue from it. First of all, give Ben a raise or some kind of bonus. Every time I go in there he is working so hard, trying to meet everyones postal needs and is so kind to each and every person. I go to this store at least a few times a month for Amazon returns and random things. This week I went in to get my daughters birth certificate form notarized. Instead I have decided to drive out of my way to go elsewhere due to the continued lack of customer service. Last straw was when I went in to use their flat rate shipping service as advertised online. They said they can't honor that price and proceeded to quote me $60 something. They said I could go home and print out the label for $10 and come back to drop it off though. Sima at this store os AMAZING. She went above and beyond. I went to ship on Sat at 3:38. I realized just after 4 pm that I had given the wrong address for one of my shipments. The store was closed, so called them FIRST thing Sun morning at 10 am. She went and found the packages, did a void, returning the shipment and then set it all up again to ship on Monday, all over the phone. This was the worst UPS experience ever! I use UPS frequently and my encounter at this location was very unpleasant from the aggressive bullying behavior of the customer service woman to the excessive charges, I recommend to go to a different location! I had a QR code for "free" shipping but needed to purchase a box for $14.14. I was then charged $10.33 to put 2 small boxes in the purchased box (labor) and another $10.33 for packing material (paper). By the time they were done I was charged $34! Mind you I didn't want packing and would have left with the box but I was traveling so I didn't have tape handy. So basically all I needed was tape and instead was treated badly and ripped off. I've been here three times and each time has been a colossal disappointment. My first experience, I had a very friendly gentleman help me with my Amazon return, but informed me the packaging I was using (original packaging sent to me and what was stated to return it in per Amazon) was not sufficient and instructed me to buy packaging material. I told him that was very odd because this is how it was sent to me and I did not damage the packaging. Amazon's instructions were to pre-package it in the same packaging and drop off at UPS. I got forced to buy packaging there to return my item. I've never had this at any other UPS Store. Second visit, same ordeal, different person. Third and final visit, same thing. Long line behind me, 4 visible people working, I was first in line waiting. Amazon did not provide instructions stating I needed to package my own items. The instructions, which I screenshot, showed to drop the item off at a UPS store and they will package it up for me. 2 women told me I am wrong and my return QR code is "new" and they cannot pack my item for me. I showed the instructions and email I got from Amazon. Their statement contradicts everything I have from Amazon. They refused to return my item and told me to buy their packaging material. This time, I refused. I believe these people are just trying to make money on packaging and do not want to participate in Amazon returns. As it is, there's a sign on the door stating they won't accept USPS mail from the public, yet every store I've been to either has a postage box or the ability to accept mail since UPS sells postal box spaces for mail delivery. Mind you, I don't need this service, but I think it's rather odd that this one location is refusing services and spewing incorrect information. I've just taken the same Amazon return to a different UPS store and it was accepted in the same condition it was in yesterday.
