You will find what you need for office needs. Not a big staff but helpful enough. Prices are on par with Amazon. Nothing bad and nothing outstanding...I do like brick and mortar places. I had an extremely frustrating experience involving a purchased printer cartridge left behind at this Staples location on May 7th. Calling the store directly was my very first step after arriving home and realizing the cartridge was missing. I spoke with Store Manager Jason twice the day after my visit. He stated inventory was all in order and that nothing had been left behind on the counter. I pleaded with him to review the surveillance footage, but this was not done and thus the matter was not resolved and no meaningful assistance was provided at that time. After a call to Customer Service, escalation to the Office of the President and multiple calls over two weeks, I still received little more than generic responses and no indication that a real investigation had been conducted. Ironically, the issue was finally resolved only after I contacted the store again yesterday in the hope of speaking with another manager and was fortunate enough to reach Assistant Manager Brian W. He immediately reviewed the surveillance footage while on the phone with me and confirmed that the cartridge had indeed been left sitting on the counter after my transaction, unnoticed by the cashier after she became distracted by another employee. I visited the store yesterday, and was given a replacement cartridge by Brian. I do very much appreciate Brian's professionalism and prompt assistance in locating and returning the item. However, the broader customer service and escalation process was deeply disappointing and unnecessarily stressful for what should have been a straightforward matter to investigate. And I remain concerned that I was previously informed by Store Manager Jason that inventory was in order and that nothing had been left behind on the counter, whereas Assistant Manager Brian W. was later able to review the surveillance footage immediately and confirm that the cartridge had in fact remained on the counter after my transaction. I would appreciate understanding how these conflicting conclusions arose. I hope district leadership reviews how this matter was handled, because a simple surveillance review could have resolved the issue weeks earlier. read more

He also helped me get as many discounts as he could. I shop here many times a year and the staff has always been good, very good or great. I had a major problem with my HP printer choking on the new batch of Staples brand paper. I was frozen, unable to print anything successfully. Today, I brought in the partially opened ream of paper and Brian at the front desk was more than accommodating. He allowed me to do a straight-exchange my old (non functional) paper for a new ream of HP brand paper and VOILA ! My printer is once-again running reports and printing everything perfectly. I haven't been here since high school or college maybe, but I am happy they are still around because I was in need of some printing services as I sometimes don't trust the printer I have at home to get the job done right when it comes to vibrant color / printing multiple copies (3 copies) of 24 sheets each... and I needed it done same day or pick-up for early next day. As I was short on time, I found the service and submitted my order online at home and paid for same day which was about $15 added to my pre-tax total. You're able to select your paper size, color vs. black and white, having it stapled or not and whether you pay online or at the store when you pick-up. I think the preview online was really slow because sometimes the pages didn't load for me to check, but I trusted that my PDF uploaded accurately (I had done it a couple times before submitting). It said my order would be ready by 5pm, I received a text and voice mail telling me my order was ready at around 3:10pm and I had placed my order at around I think 1:30pm. I didn't walk around the store because I didn't want to impulsively buy anything else as my prints were around $72 total. The store felt somber, sort of empty, but there were people there, clean, and appeared organized. I wanted to just do a quick pickup. There were a couple people ahead of me, but I didn't mind waiting as I stared at merch and services from afar. The girl who helped me was nice, told me she'd be right with me, showed me my order, had a pleasant conversation. I didn't flip through every page there, assumed it was good, but during my review at my interview I did notice some things were cut off (it was probably the bleed or whatever its called... luckily it wasn't super imperative info, but I kind of wish it had been perfect for the price). read more

I just need to tell you about an employee there named Mani. My friend and I needed help printing 150 programs for my friend's daughter's funeral. With everything else going on, I was anxious and I really didn't know how choose the paper, if I needed to fold it myself or not, etc. On this really sad occasion, Mani gave his full attention, presenting with us with choices for paper and his recommendation. He printed an example for us and it was beautiful... the type of paper really matters when you have a photo on the program and I did not know that. Not only that, the price was great because he found us a coupon that was useable on this very day. He was kind with his actions and his words as he realized what kind of program this was for. The way he spoke and presented everything to us, and the way he just took care of us, will be one of most memorable things about this week. It was a relief to have a good experience here. The last thing we needed was to have a bad experience or an unhelpful employee. I wish I could go on forever about the way Mani helped us and made us feel. He deserves to run that place! Been kicking tires on paper shredders - finally pulled the trigger - found one with a bulldog on the box so it must be good. I'm tired of wimpy paper shredders. They jam they clog - they overheat - you pull them apart and it makes a big mess. I already had a $120 paper shredder that I wasn't happy with so I knew I needed something a step up. Store is large and bright. I overheard one school teacher yapping about how she would torture her students with this or that. I think school teachers probably love this place... its full of items that can boost one's self esteem - and I think that's what most teachers go into teaching for - to feel good about themselves. Get this paper shredder monster home - haven't even plugged it in and I already feel a boost of ego. Staples also has large chairs with high backs I bet would make you look very important. This isn't my scene - I'm always next door at Home Depot - I think I fit in better with the type of person that you find there rather than the pushy ego teacher type. read more

I forgot to bring in a takeout container from my car and decided to throw it out. Simple right?... Weird that there were no trash bins outside. I asked the employee if they had a trash bin. He was not friendly at all. He said "no, we don't accept trash", so I set the container outside while I shopped. As I was checking out, he didn't ask me about my shopping experience or anything relevant, instead he said, "you're going to pick up your trash outside, right?". Dude, of course. Ever since the pandemic no one wants to work. Walked in to get something printed. There are two people behind the counter and I felt like I wasn't even seen. Then the man starts to walk over and from a distance asked if I can help you? I replied, I'd like something printed that is on the SD card. I explain to him what I need. And he's giving me a blank stare so I need to ask him why are you looking at me like that? He proceeds to ask me if it's set up right? I said sure. He prints out the copies and he said this is how you have it set up you'll need to correct that and bring it back. I asked him if he can do it. No we just print. WOW they used to go out of their way printing adjusting and making whatever necessary changes needed to make sure we had it all right for printing. But guess not anymore? This Staples is the closest office supply store to my home. Located in the shopping center shared with Home Depot on Crow Canyon Blvd, it's been here for over 20 years. Many a times, they have kept my business going by having printer ink, paper, cables and networking hardware readily available. Not always the best prices if you don't have coupons or other discounts. Lately, I have shopped with discounts on Staples.com for things like monitors and computer components and not wanting the expensive packages delivered and sitting on my porch, I've had the orders delivered to this store. The selection on Staples.com is more comprehensive and have national discounts. The staff is very friendly. Besides, the back to school rush the store is not that busy and parking is plentiful. If you sign up for the Staples rewards program, they send you discount coupons every week. read more

I went to Staples on Crow Canyon to print out some documents. The print department was really busy so I used the self-serve machine. Getting the job printed was easy and quick, good quality and the best price per page of all the places I researched. I took off 1 star only because none of the machines would read my USB key. So I had to go sit in the parking lot and email the documents to the store. That was a bit frustrating. However - I have to give thanks to the young man in the print department who took my USB key to try in his computer, to confirm the problem wasn't with the key itself. He also helped me figure out how to find the print option I needed. All in all, I will definitely return when I need more printing done. read more

Thank goodness for Staples! I went in this morning in a mild panic due to my office's printer being broken unexpectedly. I needed to print a document and get it over to a client ASAP so off to Staples I went! The greeter was super sweet, I didn't catch his name but he was blonde - he directed me to the self-service area and told me I could print documents from there! What a life-saver. Quick and easy. I was happy to find the items that I came in for and more. The store was clean and well-organized. This store site cares very much about physical distancing. It offers dedicated parking space for the curbside pickup, hand sanitizing station, large visible signage indicating the store's complying with the mask requirement at the store's entrance, and that all staff wore masks. Staff members were kind to greet me when I came in, and quickly helped me find and locate the specific products I was looking for. The price matching was easy since the price listed on staples.com for the item I was looking for was different from the in-store price. The product stock was exactly as stated online. The guy behind the copy desk was doing something, but came to help me when he saw me and was so helpful answering my questions and making the copy for me. I actually went to the Fed Ex Copy Center first by habit, but for some reason they were closed on the weekend. Often there I have to wait for help, and even then it's minimal help. I came in here this morning and was being helped by a women named Dana. She was incredibly rude, kinda embarrassed me when I asked for help and was talking to me from yards away. She refused to come up and show me how to print something. I just moved here so I told her I go to the one in Clayton and don't know where anything is. She goes "Really I run the one in Clayton.". She pointed far away where to go. I asked if she could come over for a second. she just kinda embarrassed me and said "like I said it was right over there". When I got to the back where the chairs located, a sales person named Brian approached and asked if I needed anything. I was about to wave him off but then asked him a question about assembling one of the chairs, I'm so glad I did. He then asked some questions that made choosing a chair so much easier. Brian went above and beyond to help me not just find a chair, but some of the other items needed (chair mat, mouse pad, etc.), which I planned to purchase through Amazon. When I visited the store, they would not honor the online product price even though I showed them proof of the price on the internet. My experience procuring business cards from this particular establishment was amazing. I came from a horrible experience from Fedex store. Originally, I went to Fedex hindered by the sluggish pace of the online ordering process and charges to get the cards at home really fast ( more than 100 dollars). I wanted the cards fast (conference) so, I resorted to in-store procurement. Regrettably, what transpired was an appalling outcome: 350 diminutive cards, starkly deviating from the specifications I had provided, and marred by printing of such abysmal quality that disbelief was an understatement. Upon bringing these glaring deficiencies to the attention of the personnel at the shop, their response was incredulous. They brazenly insisted that the cards were of the "standard size," until a comparison with a card from FedEx revealed the glaring disparity. Only then did they begrudgingly concede that a significant error had indeed occurred. Despite their begrudging admission of fault, the proposed remedy was nothing short of exasperating - a suggestion to reorder the same woefully inadequate cards, compounding the frustration of an already wasted effort. This subpar batch of cards exacted a hefty toll of $55 for a mere 350 units. Exasperated and disenchanted, I sought refuge in an alternative solution. I found solace at Staples, where for a mere $17, I acquired 500 cards of impeccable quality. Notably, these cards adhered to the standard size I originally stipulated, and were printed on superior-grade paper - a commendable feat accomplished in less than 24 hours. Remarkably, I was promptly notified within eight hours of the transaction, despite encountering a minor impediment due to a banking issue with the original card, for which Staples promptly corresponded via email to rectify. I was able to catch that before I went to the workshop. I had another issue online and inmediately, they resolve the issue and they charge the credit card. The customer experience was amuzing overall! This is what you need to do to keep a customer.
