After hearing so much about Pad Thai Classic, I decided to stop by and try their lunch special, which included their Pad Thai dish. While the portion size was satisfactory, I have to admit that I found the flavor to be underwhelming. The Pad Thai lacked the depth and boldness that I typically enjoy in this dish. Although it had a decent flavor, it was not as impactful as I had hoped. I had heard so much about this restaurant and was slightly disappointed that the dish did not live up to my expectations. On the bright side, the lunch special was reasonably priced and included a generous portion size. Additionally, the service provided by the staff was attentive and polite. Despite my underwhelming experience with the Pad Thai dish, I do believe that Pad Thai Classic has the potential to be a great Thai restaurant. Maybe it was just an off day for the kitchen? Granted we came on NYE so maybe the holiday was to blame, maybe the kitchen was slammed with take out/delivery orders, but the restaurant was not packed so we didn't understand why the service was so slow. Jasmine tea was not filtered, it was impossible to drink with loose leaves floating around. We ordered Pad Thai (the restaurant's namesake) which was very greasy and lack luster, and just not good. Tom Kha soup was also disappointing and the broccoli and chicken was inedible. This meal was the worst I've had in a long time. read more

The food is very tasty, but I had to wait considerably longer than I was quoted for my pickup order. They told me 20 minutes, so I waited 20 minutes and arrived and was told I needed to wait. I waited another 20 minutes and the food still wasn't ready. This place is great, but I hope this misquote of the food prep time isn't a regular occurrence. I hate inefficiency and waiting around needlessly, so if this is how it normally goes, I'll find another spot. Pad Thai and fried rice were both delicious read more

SO Glad we landed here after another popular place was too packed! Panang curry was on point. You can tell chef takes time to create a complete flavor. Thai flavors were balanced and rich. Very good!!! They have a dinner special for $11 and you get a nice sized portion (can make it into 2) Ordered the Kung Pao Chicken w/ shrimp fried rice and veggie soup. No complaints! Very tasty I will say it did take a while for me to get my food as they are short staffed but other than that, service was great and the young lady who assisted me was very pleasant. I came here on a Friday night with my boyfriend and ordered the pad see ew with shrimp and pad kee mow with pork and added egg. The flavor here is delicious. The pad see ew comes out super hot and fresh and tastes exactly how I wanted it to. Super authentic and tasty. Their pad kee mow is also super delicious! I asked for mild and they delivered. I really love their noodles here. Even their vegetables in the pad kee mow are so good. The fried wontons too are a MUST! They're so fresh and filling. Everything is an A+ for flavor. This is a legit good Thai restaurant. The staff here is also so friendly and quick to serve us! They're very serious about social distancing here which makes me feel safe. Around the corner from my apartment, this place is a Chinese/Thai fusion restaurant with lots of great options. It's a solid takeout or even dine-in option. I ordered 3 things: tom kha soup, pad see ew (mint leaf), and chicken/broccoli. On orders above $35, there's a coupon that you can mention to grab free crab rangoons which come 5 to an order if you call it in; which is a nice little bonus when they do it! The person who took the order was super personable and nice on the phone. The chicken and broccoli was delicious. The rice had two little shrimps on it which was kind of a fun presentation. Wow, I couldn't have been more impressed. I mean, I like thai food, but more often than not it is much to sweet. Finally a place I can happily support. The cashew nut chicken here is so delicious. Flavor was nice with the perfect mix of vegetables. I ordered a side of brown rice and once again they nailed it. Moist brown rice and you know how to cook it. Thank you for a delicious meal! Our favourite dishes here have been the bbq pork, pad see ew, fried tofu, tom yum, yellow curry, khao soi, drunken noodles, spicy angel wings, green curry, larb, and kra phao eggplant. All of these have never failed to bring out the "oohs," "ahhs," and "yums" from us! Other solid choices include pad thai, pineapple fried rice, boat noodles, thai crispy garlic chicken with orange sauce, and thai bbq chicken. Yes, we've eaten here a lot and have introduced it to a number of people! The service is very fast at Elephant Thai, and the menu has switched to digital since the pandemic. On the plus side, they have also not gotten rid of their healthcare worker discount (10%)! The parking lot is tiny, but there is local street parking available. The service from the main owner/manager (female) was by far the rudest I've experienced at this restaurant. When ordering, we were simply trying to explain how we wanted our dish prepared. For certain Thai dishes, there's a big difference between something being fried versus crispy, and we were trying to make sure it was prepared the same way we had ordered in the past. While we were speaking with another server to clarify the order, the manager stepped in, took over the conversation, and rushed the order through right after she clocked in. It felt very dismissive and like we weren't being listened to at all. When the dish came out, it wasn't what we had asked for. When we politely asked how we should properly word the order so it could be made correctly, she became visibly upset instead of simply explaining it. She then took the dish away, and no replacement was offered--nor was there any apology for the misunderstanding. I completely understand that restaurants have many customers to attend to, but we are paying customers as well. After years of making the drive here for a good meal, this experience was extremely disappointing. Sadly, this interaction cost you a loyal customer, and I will not be recommending this location anymore. As far as the ambience, they have no TVs that works, no music playing during dinner, and top it off- There's a huge leak over the bar area coming from the ceiling.
