After hearing so much about Pad Thai Classic, I decided to stop by and try their lunch special, which included their Pad Thai dish. While the portion size was satisfactory, I have to admit that I found the flavor to be underwhelming. The Pad Thai lacked the depth and boldness that I typically enjoy in this dish. Although it had a decent flavor, it was not as impactful as I had hoped. I had heard so much about this restaurant and was slightly disappointed that the dish did not live up to my expectations. On the bright side, the lunch special was reasonably priced and included a generous portion size. Additionally, the service provided by the staff was attentive and polite. Despite my underwhelming experience with the Pad Thai dish, I do believe that Pad Thai Classic has the potential to be a great Thai restaurant. Maybe it was just an off day for the kitchen? Very good!!! They have a dinner special for $11 and you get a nice sized portion (can make it into 2) Ordered the Kung Pao Chicken w/ shrimp fried rice and veggie soup. No complaints! Very tasty I will say it did take a while for me to get my food as they are short staffed but other than that, service was great and the young lady who assisted me was very pleasant. I came here on a Friday night with my boyfriend and ordered the pad see ew with shrimp and pad kee mow with pork and added egg. The flavor here is delicious. The pad see ew comes out super hot and fresh and tastes exactly how I wanted it to. Super authentic and tasty. Their pad kee mow is also super delicious! I asked for mild and they delivered. I really love their noodles here. Even their vegetables in the pad kee mow are so good. The fried wontons too are a MUST! They're so fresh and filling. Everything is an A+ for flavor. This is a legit good Thai restaurant. The staff here is also so friendly and quick to serve us! They're very serious about social distancing here which makes me feel safe. They do have indoor dining as of May 21, 2021. I'm going to have to come back here for their lunch specials! read more

We sat down and had water in front of us and our order taken basically immediately. Ordered a pad se ew, khao soi ($16 each for the entrees), and a large Thai tea ($7) to share. The pad ke mow and the Thai tea came out basically immediately. We'd already drunk all our water and had someone come back out to refill it, when the khao soi showed up about 15 minutes later with no mention of the delay. (We also got our check and paid quickly when we were done. Dunno what happened with the khao soi.) The Thai tea was great, and if you're sharing it with someone, 7 bucks is a great price for basically two Thai teas. The pad se ew - the first dish we always judge a Thai place on, being one of both of our favorite Thai dishes - was excellent. Great noodles, perfectly cooked and seasoned, with plenty of Chinese broccoli (I always like to call out the places that use inferior, wrong American broccoli instead, as was *not* the case here). 16 bucks, but that seems to be the going rate these days for Thai food (I remember when it was like half that much...), and you get a good portion. Good portion on the khao soi too. Wonderfully delicious crispy chicken, and a good amount of it. Great curry. Slightly too many crispy noodles, slightly not enough of the regular king - noodle-wise, just ok. In terms of khao soi, ST Noodle is definitely still the gold standard, with Thai District in 2nd. Right away I recognized a worker (Grace) which was a delightful surprise. Grace welcomed us with a smile and her service was fantastic. Starting off with the chicken satay it was very different than what I had in past Thai food restaurants and I absolutely loved it. The texture, flavor and dipping sauce was so so delicious. Shoutout to Pad Thai Classic! Seriously, the service here is so good. We called ahead to check how busy it was and Nicky answered and she was super sweet and even set a table aside for us before we arrived. The food? Amazing. Ok, from the front "curb appeal" I was a bit pensive about this place. Looks are deceiving. Pad See Ew , chicken dumplings and garlic chicken wings were incredible. I love their noodles and their food overall. I'd say one of the best Thai resturants in Long Beach. The restaurant is in a nice part of town, so its pretty good. One thing tho is that they are almost always packed whenever I am in there, maybe thats a good thing, but things can get crowded for us customers. The beef was well seasoned and properly grilled; the peanut sauce was merely adequate. I may stop in later for a drink if the hotel bar is expensive, but I will not order food here again and did not take any leftovers.
