Hands down just hit the top of the list! Everything was delicious service amazing and the place was cute. We got the Fried Green Tomatoes, Burrata and the Brussels Sprouts to start and the flavors hit every bite. The crunch on the fried green tomatoes was amazing along with the sauce, was a great balance of flavors. The toast for the burrata was a perfect combination of crispy and soft and the Brussels sprouts no words... mouth still watering writhing this review, definitely the best ever. Even though already stuffer we split the salmon and the short ribs. WOW!!! Salmon was cooked perfectly and pair well with the sauce, I'm newly to enjoy the sweet potato fries and they were a perfect combination of crunch and fluffy, can't explain it; just try it. Shortly ribs amazing as well .

We had made reservations for 8:00. When we walked in, there were a couple people still waiting for their seat at the bar. It was very crowded and not much room to wait around. I felt cramped and thought oh gosh this food better be worth it. It was!! We sat at the bar, i didn't feel like i was sitting on top of the person beside me. There was enough counter space and the bartender was great. He made awesome recommendations. We started off with the cornbread (it was a little too done for me around the edges but the middle was great ) the brussel sprouts were AWESOME. I got the short ribs and they were just amazing. My fiancé got the scallops and those were phenomenal. We will definitely come back.

Went for my wife's birthday. We had never been there before. She found it while looking for a special place. Otto's has been there for 20 years. It was fantastic! Food and Service were Great! The only negative if you can call it that is a small changing menu. We were very happy with the options. We had fried green tomatoes and flat bread pizza. My wife and son had the Watermelon gazpacho soup while I had the Salad. Both very good. I had the filet cooked perfectly medium with asparagus and finger potatoes. My wife had the scallops and son had the short ribs. No complaints from any of all. Sauces were correctly paired with each. Finished off meal with birthday cheesecake. Smaller restaurant in an old house with large bar and outside seating. Street parking or garage next door. You won't be disappointed.

Really cute spot! Love the decor! My husband had the berry salad. And I had the chicken salad and corn chowder. Everything was delicious, but the chowder was the best!

Quaint, small restaurant in what appears to be an old home. Don't let it's size dissuade you, this place is a gem! The menu is limited, but what they serve is absolutely fantastic. Beautiful art lines the wall and the bar is enshrined with historic decanters. One shelf holds a group of British Kings' Guard soldiers stoically standing watch over patrons sipping their cocktails at the bar. I had the soup of the day which was watermelon gazpacho, a flavor of gazpacho that I had never had. It was amazing: sweet, cold and with a bit of a kick. Lovely starter for a hot evening in Covington. Our table also had the infamous fried green tomatoes- which were phenomenal and the flatbread with "BRIE, FIGS, SHAVED COUNTRY HAM, MICRO GREENS, LOCAL HONEY" I ordered the scallop entree which came with roasted asparagus and shitake mushroom risotto. That night the menu featured just two desserts: pecan bread pudding and cherry cheesecake. Had the latter, which was nice, but nothing exceptional. Lovely dinner at a very cute restaurant that has been running for a few decades. Check it out!

I can't believe I've never been here until now. Tucked away in Covington, this hidden gem has delicious food and atmosphere. We sat outside as it was a gorgeous night. Everything on the menu sounded amazing so I had a hard time choosing but went with the scallops. I have to saw my plate was licked clean. Every bite of the scallop was tender and melted in your mouth. The risotto was unlike any risotto I've had. I wish I had more because every single bit I tried to savor and have it last. I've had many mushroom risottos but this had asparagus and the creaminess was perfection. The smoked tomato aioli added so much flavor to the scallops and risotto. I could have rated another one of these dishes because it was such an experience. However, I left room for dessert. They were not joking when they said a generous portion of carrot cake. This 3-tier cake was exactly what I needed to end the night. Rich and creamy and moist in every bite. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. We got served drinks and our orders taken right away. If you sit outside you're right next to a busy street so it can get loud but is a bit more spacious than inside. I will definitely be back here to try all the other menu items I didn't have that all sounded amazing.

Ottos is a special place full of eclectic charm and great vibes. Our servers were attentive and knowledgeable. The food was excellent. Good portion sizes with complex flavors incorporated into classic southern comfort food. I had the pistachio crusted halibut which was cooked to perfection and was a perfect balance of savory and sweet. I highly recommend Otto's for your next night out.

We have been to Otto"s many times over the past 20 years to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. We consider Otto's the best restaurant in Cincinnati. There are many good restaurants in this area, but Otto's works best for us. It is like one of those cute, unpretentious little restaurants in Atlanta, New Orleans, Charleston, etc., that is a hidden gem that serves WONDERFUL food, and has WONDERFUL service. We found Otto's shortly after moving to Cincinnati from Connecticut. For so many restaurants, over time they change because of new ownership, new management, changes in the kitchen, or a host of other reasons, and never for the better. I am happy to say that Otto's is just the same as we found it many years ago. Not many restaurants fall into that category. My wife is handicapped and I called to ask about how she could get up the two steps at the entrance. I was promptly told that the waitresses would help us. We were the first people to arrive at 11:25am (to beat the crowd). Karley, our waitress was the first person we met at the front door and along with the hostess they helped get Annie up the steps and to our table. All the ladies were wonderful, and the Chef, your food is truly amazing . As I looked around the restaurant I saw so many wonderful plates being delivered. One last thing. I no longer drink alcohol, but over the years I have had so many terrific, 4 Roses Manhattans (up) here, and if you like Manhattans. I think this is the house specials, not don't miss getting one here. Thank y'all very much for making this such a special "date" for two kids who have been married for 50 years. (And thank you Brigid and Steve).

Hosted a small group upstairs. This place is stinkin' adorable -- chairs all different colors, eclectic art on the walls. Service was perfect. The breading on the fried green tomatoes was crunchy and delish. The bacon brown sugar brussels sprouts -- well, they would convert a non-veggie eater (a.k.a. Me). I've never had halibut this good; then again, with pistachio crust, goat cheese, pear risotto, (crazy - never heard of that flavor) and hazelnut cream sauce (that tasted like syrup)... WOW. I could eat that plate every day."

My husband and I went here for Sunday brunch and it was great! The restaurant is beautiful. The service was good and attentive. There is a fairly cheap public parking garage just a few doors down that makes it very easy to get to. My husband got the lemon and blueberry pancakes and I got the Benedict. Everything was absolutely fantastic! We also got goetta for sides and it was delicious. This cute restaurant in Covington is worth a trip!

Fantastic food and overall experience. Definitely has the local feel of coming to Mainstrasse, Food was fantastic started with apps we had one of each! Muscles, cheese, and I forget the third. Dinners were great. Check out the pictures of the awesome presentation. Everyone was fully satisfied. This is a great little place with a cool vibe and even better food.

We had THE BEST dinner at Otto's last night. It was our first time there and it won't be the last. We sat in the back under the "two peas in a pod" painting the chef's wife made for him. (Their story is on the back of the menu.) Not gonna lie: I got a little (okay a lot) verklempt. Finding a good partner is hard enough as it is, but finding someone who believes in you and encourages you to follow your dreams...that's some super special, once in a lifetime ish. The food was also good. Actually, the fried green tomatoes were delicious. The carrot salad was freaking fantastic. My scallops?? Bury me with that risotto. I can't recommend them enough. ‍

Otto's is a friend's favorite from when she was living in the neighborhood. We visited this summer while seeing a new baseball stadium and stopped here for brunch before catching our flight. We didn't have reservations, but got there when it opened and sat on the patio which was very nice. Curt was a friendly and helpful server! We loved all the dishes -- especially the lemon blueberry pancakes! When in Rome... er Ohio? You've gotta try the goetta! First time for me and it's worth a try. Personally, I felt a little goes a long way, but I'm not a huge meat eater.

The Goetta is a regional dish popular to the area comprised of sausage and potato fried like a smash burger. It was packed full of flavor and was nice and crispy. A must get was the biscuit and gravy. Unlike the southern style which is usually thick and creamy, this has amazing seasoning, plenty of the sausage crumble, and rich texture. The biscuit underneath was soft and savory and paired very well in this dish. The filet and eggs were perfectly cooked and had good flavor. There were a lot of diced potatoes on the plate to enjoy which was also well seasoned and crispy. Lastly the big easy omelette was very good. I do like the fact it was plated on top of a piece of toast. The biscuit and gravy along with the omelette gave a very strong New Orleans feeling. The cocktails also hit their mark. Local distillery Riff was the maker of the bourbon for the mule. I'm not sure of their lineup but it compared to Bulleit Bourbon. Very stable in the cocktail without being overpowering. The hard truth was a coffee with a punch and a great way to start a vacation morning. The restaurant was deceptively large from its outward appearance. There is lots of seating available and the tables moved swiftly. The large garage style doors allowed for full fresh air circulation and opens the brightness from the natural lighting. Being a corner location they were able to maximize on the opened interior dining experience. Overall 4.7 out of 5

The space is open, bright and well decorated making it very inviting for brunch. You order at the counter from the menus placed along the wall then food is delivered to your table. The various brunch items all sounded very inviting so I was having trouble deciding what to order. So I got a recommendation to try the Shakshuka. Not sure how to pronounce it but when it arrived it was just the right portion and quite tasty for brunch. It's a bowl with a red pepper sauce and feta cheese and kale along with eggs sunny side up. The dish is served with pita so you can do a little bit of dipping in the tasty sauce. To accompany our food we selected the mimosa service and bloody mary pitcher. A pitcher is just perfect for sharing. And the mimosa service was delightful. The server arrived with a bottle of Prosecco and small carafes of orange, grapefruit and blood orange juices to mix yourself. The food was fresh and tasty with prompt delivery of our food to our table. Not quite a full service restaurant since you have to order at the counter but still a nice experience located downtown.

Normally, I find hotel food is just okay and nothing special, but Coppin's was a pleasant surprise. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and our equally pleasant server quickly brought menus and asked what we would like to drink. When it was my turn, I happily ordered Coppin's Old Fashioned. I was the odd man out because everyone else ordered the Spring Manhattan. Judging by how quickly everyone's drinks disappeared, I'd say they were all very tasty. I was a little unsure about mine at first, so to make sure the quality and taste were consistent, I ordered a second, and it definitely was not a mistake. I ordered the B+G biscuits (which are made by hand according to server in the hotel) and gravy with an extra egg. Others at the table chose a variety of dishes, including the CVG, Cobb Salad, Bagel and Lox, and several other selections. Based on the clean plates all around the table, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My wife ordered a sample of banana bread, and I was fortunate enough to snag a small bite, it was excellent. After we had all finished, everyone agreed that my niece had made an excellent choice for her graduation celebration brunch. As my wife and I made our way back to Louisville, we both commented that we would definitely return the next time we were in Covington.

I ended up being in the North Building and cracked up when I walked into my room and saw I was in one of the Lightwell Lofts (a few of us ended up in them by chance, guess they included them in our room block lol). While the room was super cool and beautiful, there was a lot to be desired. After taking a million photos of the gorgeous room, I quickly realized a major flaw - the bedroom is upstairs, the bathroom is downstairs, and the staircase between the two is a crazy narrow spiral staircase. As someone that gets up to pee in the middle of the night, having to traverse the spiral stairs was terrifying lol. One of my coworkers actually swapped with someone who had a "normal" room because he was worried about falling down the stairs. My downstairs tv wouldn't turn on. I fiddled with the remote a bit, tried rearranging the batteries, but couldn't turn it on. I used the ipad in the room to put in a maintenance request, but no one came. I figured I would just let the front desk know when I headed out to dinner that night. Hours later, the front desk calls me to see if anyone had come to fix the tv - they hadn't. The girl was very nice and apologetic, she said I sent the request in the middle of a shift change and someone had accidentally marked it as complete. So she said someone would be right up, and he did come up. Handed me a handwritten note and a $25 coupon for Coppin's which was totally unexpected and a very nice gesture. Turned out, he knew exactly what the problem was - he said the remote was broken and he was supposed to swap it out but forgot. Gave me a new remote and all was good. He also mentioned there is a second remote upstairs for that tv. After he left, I went to look for it - there was no second remote. We held our meetings in the Scheper Room, which was also beautiful. The room was absolutely freezing the first day and I'm someone that prefers it a touch colder and was uncomfortable. We had to get them to update the thermostat and then in the afternoon it was way too hot. We had food brought in from the hotel and it was all fine, nothing super memorable. There was soup at lunch but the sign didn't even say what it was - just "chef's choice." The Italian hoagies were way too big and needed to be cut in half, I couldn't even finish half of one. The salad with fruit/pecans/etc was my favorite though. They had the completely wrong password on the tables for the Wifi but thankfully we figured it out quickly that we just had to use the room password. The second day for breakfast, there was yogurt on the menu and even on the sign with all the food - but there was no yogurt. Some of my coworkers were specifically asking for yogurt so we had to request it directly because it was included and paid for. Box lunches to take to go on the second day which were fine, I had the chicken caesar salad wrap. Housekeeping didn't come to service my room until 5pm when I was in there getting ready for dinner, so I was not able to get the room serviced. Just asked them for some more coffee. My conditioner in the shower was empty but I didn't bother reporting it after the tv issue and I had my own conditioner with me, so used that. The lotion at the sink was so thick that I could not get it out of the bottle at all, I had to use q-tips to get it out (it was nice quality, just kinda useless if you can't get it out of the bottle lol). Great local offerings on the mini bar and in the fridge. My coworkers and I got a kick out of the "intimacy kits" because we were on a business trip haha. The Magic 8 ball was fun, I loved the conversation cards even though I just read a few of them to myself haha. Even with the bedroom upstairs, it was nice to have the big double closet in the bathroom hallway so I really was just in the loft to sleep and kept all my stuff downstairs. The location is great, lots of fun stuff right nearby. The courtyard is lovely. I would say this is a solid 3.5 stars but since we can't give half stars, I'll give it a 4 because the staff was overall very nice and quickly fixed any issues, just a little annoying that we had any issues at all.

Fried Chicken? Libby's gots the goods!…read more I've been here a few times now. A lover of fried chicken who is always on the hunt for the good stuff, Libby's does not disappoint. Located just over the river in Covington, KY, Libby's is only a few blocks walk from some of the happenings in Covington, like the Madison Theatre and Madison Live. There's a decent pay parking lot right at the intersection just across the street from Libby's. I went for the fried chicken and that's what I got.... both times. Libby's is nowhere near me so it was worth the 40 minute drive to get there the first time and an easy go-to for the second time around when I was going out for the night in Covington. The fried chicken is super crispy, full of flavor and moist and delicious. Libby's crushes it when it comes to the fried chicken. Here's the thing - I got sides both times. The chicken, being the feature of the meal, was so good that I don't even remember the sides that I got. I can say though that they were good. Libby's is popular. So, plan on a wait or, if available, to take a seat at the bar. Libby's isn't huge but they have space to take on a larger table of people to small high-tops for two or, again, for one or a few to grab a seat at the bar. The staff is friendly and helpful. We never wanted for anything. They were on top of it without bothering you. Would I go back? Cluck yeah, I'd go back. Remember when I said "Libby's gots the goods"? I wasn't kidding. Go find out for yourself and get you some and then come back and tell me how right I was.

This is our second visit. We went when it first opened. Our neighbors recommended it…read more So we had reservations and were seated on the patio enclosed and heated. Wobbly table, several groups were there. (I guess service guest service is a dying profession) ? I don't understand why a restaurant resorts to plastic cups from Pepsi or paper napkins? Prices don't reflect that. Sorry I digress Service was slow and she forgot our order, eh? No suggestions for menu options or anything. We chose fried green tomatoes and deviled eggs. Oil for fgtom tastes old. Not delicious eggs with ok. Service is sloppy slow. ( do I keep the fork I used for tomatoes for my entree? I'm at a wobbly table, service is slow and you had to ask for drinks silver ware. I had the 2 piece dark chicken. Good but really spicy and I like spice but this is extremely intense. The Charlie Brown entre was a lot of melted cheese and burnt bacon.our guests had the shrimp and the salmon. It was so loud, screaming across the table loud and there were all of 8 people besides us. My chicken would have been good if it weren't so overbred and over spicy. I had to ask for more beverages. I just don't understand how a restaurant that charges these prices and is mediocre. Paper napkins tv everywhere and not on LOUD, outdoor tables and no cloth. Service that connects with the patrons. This is not greyhound or tousey house. . WHAT KIND OF PLACE IS THIS. Overpriced and cut the attitude with a machete. Many restaurants do exactly the same menu and well. Purple Poulet is one
