Tabbouleh with chicken
Isabel E.

Always love coming to my favorite restaurant in Mount Adams! Today I had the lobster bisque and the tabbouleh with chicken... dare I say the best two items on the menu?!?! I may have switched up on my beloved salmon dish and am cheating on the escargot. Truly anything you get here is guaranteed to be amazing and made with love. Chef and team always pour into every dish, meal, experience, interaction, and customer. The vibe is always exactly what you need - vibrant yet chill, warm, loving, and happy. Coming here puts a pep in my step and has me wanting more - more food, more connection, more of Mount Adams! Come get addicted, but don't blame it on me!

Tagliatelle

This is a great find in Mt Adams! There was a bit of confusion over if this place takes reservations so we ended up next door at Blind Lemon for a half hour wait on a Wednesday but it was worth it. Run by a father/son team, the food was quality with unique French options. I ordered the tomato zucchini garlic tagliatelle as my choices were a bit limited as a vegetarian. It was delicious but would love to see another hot veggie entree to appeal to dietary restrictions. The cafe decor makes you really feel like you're in Paris but staff seemed a bit frantic, working hard to keep up with the crowd. A few of our food choices, like the tapenade trio and crème brûlée were already sold out so we'll have to come back earlier next time!

This is halfway through my veggie omelet. So fresh and so delicious!

We ordered three omelets- veggie (you can ask to add cheese), bacon & cheese ham & cheese. All three of us said they were the best omelets ever! Golden rosemary potatoes came with the omelet, perfect side. The prices are extremely reasonable for the area. We ate outside. The service was great. The coffee was splendid, also.

Crème Brûlée

Going to Luca Bistro then Blind Lemon is a great date night. The menu and food at Luca Bistro is solid. Only complaint would be the French fries are mediocre. The service is always good. Highly recommend the crème brûlée - it is delicious!

Wow we love this place. It truly makes me feel like I am on a European holiday every time I eat here. The coziest interior; we stopped in on a chilly but clear, sunny spring morning, and I was instantly whisked away to another place! The food is always phenomenal. Simple, fresh, classic: you don't need anything else really! The weight staff were very kind and quick! I can't wait to come back!!

We stopped for lunch on our way home from an event downtown. It was our first time visiting. The place is very cute and has A LOT of decorations by the way of live plants, pictures, and sports memorabilia. We sat in the brighter front room by the window. There were few folks in the place by the time we left at 1:10pm. Our server was very friendly and accommodating, but we wished he would have introduced himself (pet peeve of mine). We ordered the mussels and frites, the Poulet Basquaise, and a side of French green beans. The mussels were very traditional with a butter, white wine, garlic, celery, and onion prep, which is my favorite. I know fries are fries, but these were some of the best we have had in a long time. The Poulet (i.e. chicken dish) is like an open-faced chicken pot-pie with mushrooms, peas, bechamel, and puff pastry. It is true comfort food that we thought needed some acid or a touch of hot sauce. It is served with a huge bed of lettuce dressed in a balsamic vinaigrette and nothing else. The French green beans were tasty and garlicy, but were not true haricots verts. They were just green beans. Parking was easy because it was noon on a Weds., but I can see how it would be hard on the weekends.

long story short: a hidden gem Luca has become a staple in my family. We have gone many times, &, while the restaurant is often busy, we have never had to wait for a table. The servers are very kind & the atmosphere is great, filled with French tchotchkes & the chatter of happy diners. Finding parking in Mount Adams is a nightmare, but Luca is worth it. The steak frites is a winner; it's not the best steak of my life, but it is good & very well priced. We also love the chicken provençal & my dad orders the salmon every single time because he loves it so much. Their desserts & drinks are also great, so the evening is delicious from start to finish. We love Luca & we often find ourselves there for birthdays & other celebrations because it's such a special place!

Gracious service, excellent wine and drink collection, energetic atmosphere, and delightful French cuisine make this a lovely restaurant. We enjoyed dinner before attending a show at Playhouse in the park. It's the perfect distance from the venue and our server was attentive to the timing to ensure we arrived at our show without delay. Everyone enjoyed their dinner from roasted goat cheese salad to cod, à laProvençal to Boucheé a la Reine. I look forward to going back. Note: if you are walking to playhouse in the park, you will need to ascend a number of stairs to get to the entrance.

We stopped here recently and were pleasantly surprised. The decor is along the lines of eclectic, rustic French. Hubby thought it was neat that they had an Asterix book on the shelf next to us. He used to read it growing up. It was difficult to decide what to get because it all sounded so good. Hubby got his Moules Frites fix and not only enjoyed it, but got more than he usually gets at the other place he orders them. I had a very nice chicken dish with petit pois (small french peas), salad and fries too. It's hard to beat fries that are done perfectly. He got a chocolate mousse dessert that looked like an ice-cream shake. I got a Cherry Clafoutis. It tastes more cake-like than what I'm used to, but it was delicious and beautifully garnished. We will definitely go back, especially in the summer time.

Vegetable Omelette - A yellow omelette garnished with herbs is served alongside seasoned diced potatoes on a white plate.

This was a quaint and cozy restaurant that transports you to the French countryside. I came here for brunch and ordered the vegetable omelette and added cheese. It also came with potatoes. The omelette was simple but was delicious and jammed pack with veggies. The potatoes were cooked with shallots and paired perfectly with the omelette. Service was very attentive. The price is very reasonable and I will definitely be coming here again.

Great little touches, such as servers wearing darling white tops, place settings with vintage-like dishes, copper pots and sauce pans hanging along the kitchen wall. It manages to be both bustling and calming, charming and elevated. We only tried the cold salads, the carrot and the beet. Both were delicious. Drink menu has N/A options. The service was good and our server was really friendly and personable but beyond disappointed in the ticket time of the kitchen to table. You order all at once and they space it out. It was just off the entire meal. We were at the Tableau course and immediately the Salades course was brought out and sat in the table before we even had a bite. Then nothing for such a long time. I think they forgot about us as the table next to us ordered their courses and got their food and were out the door before our Plats course was on the table. Additionally, I saw candles for bdays at other tables, but nothing special for our anniversary when our desserts were delivered. I feel like they also missed the mark here. We drive in about 2 hours specifically to dine here. Our visit time here about 2 years ago was amazing but this overall experience fell short of expectations. Ok back to the yummy food. We enjoyed the following... Bread: Pain Maison- fresh milk brioche, seasonal butter ($11) Tableau course: Oeufs Chimay - duxelles filled egg, garlic cream, comté, breadcrumb ($11) Salades course: Parisian Carrot - toasted hazelnut, parsley, cider vinaigrette ($12) Roasted Beets - crème fraiche, goat cheese, citrus, pistachio, horseradish ($15) Plats course: Raviole du Dauphiné - comté, ricotta, brown butter ($25) Icelandic Cod - toasted brioche, caviar beurre blanc, wilted spinach ($36) Dessert: Choux au Craquelin - profiteroles, vanilla ice cream, cocoa ($10) Mousse au Chocolat - meringue, feuilleté crunch ($11) It really is good food and a cute atmosphere. Something to try if you have not been or like French food, but after this experience I doubt I will be back with so many places to eat when you are from out of town.

The bread and butter plate alone was worth it, especially with three different butters to work through. The mushroom bisque was exceptional, rich and comforting. Everybody, each member of the staff was fantastic. The pomme soufflés are out of this world. They are such a treat. Their foie gras torchon is also exceptional. We cannot wait for them to bring back the cod in buerre Blanc sauce. But last night we opted for the hamburger, which is quite the treat there. If you are a bourbon drinker, you should try their buffalo trace single barrel right now. My husband thought it was more delicious than most other buffalo trace, more of a cherry and vanilla hint. However, our final bill came to over 900$ and none of us were impressed by the food. I understand fine dining is not going to be large portions, but 1 small scallop and 1 Brussels sprout for 32$ is insane.
