Great food but waiter obviously wanted to turn the table. First we were seated next to the kitchen even though we had reservations months in advance. Moved us to a 2 top. Ordered bread and salad both came out almost immediately. As soon as we finished the salad we received our main. We looked around and realized other tables were what I would call European paced meals. Get your bread and enjoy your wine, then about 15 minutes later get your salad and then the main about 30 minutes later you get your main. Feeling rushed is not a good experience. I ordered a drink and my boyfriend was going to share with me and without asking they split our drink for us! All the food was fresh and well cooked. The arancini is the best I've had in Cincy. It was a large portion as well which we loved! The pork belly bao was surprisingly very good and flavorful. We had two pastas, the scampi and aragosta both blew us away with the fresh in house pasta. The food was way too salty. The appetizers and my main course (my children also complained about it being too salty). For four people with a charge close to $300 (not including the tip) I really expected better. The shrimp scampi and the lemon chicken (they also forgot a lemon with my daughter's order) were the ones that had way too much salt. The prawns were overly salty too. We weren't drinking customers, we were there to eat and spend good money. At least the service was okay. Not to mention getting there was kind of terrifying with half naked women walking just a block down the street from here and cars wafting weed smell and cigarette smoke. We will avoid downtown especially when it comes to taking my children out for dinner on Mother's Day. Downtown Cincinnati is turning into a shit hole. Despite a terrific entree, our experience at Court Street Kitchen was just too uneven at its price points to get this rating above three stars. Those price points are right up there with some of the most renowned restaurants in town, but I don't think the food, service, and decor warranted it. First off, we weren't big fans of the ambience of CSK: It's a sharp-looking and spotless restaurant, but a bit antiseptic perhaps, and the music is tedious and repetitive EDM. I've never even been to Vegas, but I imagine that this is what a less-than-stellar Vegas hotel restaurant might be like. Biggest disaster of the evening was the very first course, the Amarillo Ceviche, which consisted of an overly sweet and citrusy and overly chilled broth with mushy ahi tuna. Not at all good, and a pittance of food for $34. (In just the last few months, I've had ceviche tostadas in Mexican restaurants that were markedly better, more generous with the seafood (admittedly, not ahi tuna), and under $10.) Arancini were a nicer app, with big flavor, but ultimately pretty simple. (These two items were actually brought out together, and they shouldn't have been.) Things started to improve somewhat with the arugula salad, which, while nothing fancy, was at least fresh and bright and properly dressed. The entree, though, was a pretty much a home run, or at least a triple. We found out that the grill is where Court Street Grill crushes it. The kitchen absolute nailed the cooking of the branzino; it had the crispy skin you want, and was accompanied by delicious veggies. Delicious. We also had the grilled asparagus as a side, and those were just about perfect. The kitchen split the entree into two generous portions and plated both very nicely; not cheap ($48), but fair for a dish of this size and quality. We both agreed that the cocktails were not the best. I had an Old Fashioned that was just two sweet and lacked complexity. And our server was very pleasant all evening, but not particularly polished. Our dinner peaked at the right point, but overall our experience here was a bit rocky. read more

We had an amazing business dinner here a few weeks ago. The decor of the restaurant is very nice, clean, and modern. Our server was very well spoken about the menu and cocktails, and he was able to provide us recommendations for every part of the meal. Other servers were helping out, and every time I got up my napkin was folded or replaced, almost overkill but appreciated all the same. We tried several house cocktails, and they were all delicious, and they had a nice variety of wines to choose from during dinner. We tried several appetizers, including the shishito peppers, arancini, and bread. For main courses many of us had steak, which was well prepared. I opted for the Country Side Breakfast which consisted of scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes, roasted tomatoes, bacon, and grilled sourdough bread, plus I added poached lobster. Gave my bacon to hubby. It was very filling and delicious! For dessert, we ordered the Olive Oil Cake, as I'd never had it before. It, too, was filling and tasty. I came here for my birthday a few months ago with 5 girlfriends & then returned again recently for a short happy hour visit because I was craving their scallops again. My husband and I went here for an early dinner on a Sunday and this place was incredible! For apps we got the arancini and the chili garlic prawns. Both were delicious and served quickly. We ordered the branzino and roasted lemon chicken and shared the green beans. Everything was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. For dessert we got the chocolate gelato and tiramisu. Those were amazing as well. The restaurant itself is really pretty and gives the vibes of being in Miami. The DJ was a nice touch with good music without being too loud to enjoy a conversation. We had outstanding service again. This time we ordered the Arancini and Scallops. We feel this Arancini is the best in the city! They were huge and perfectly fried with a lot of gooey cheese inside and a lovely topping of basil. The acidic tomato sauce is the perfect compliment to the rich arancini. Visited Court Street for a friend's birthday and was pleasantly surprised this placed wasn't packed! It's right in the heart of court street with metered parking in front of the restaurant. The decor is stunning and the seating is very comfortable. I arrived early to check out the happy hour menu and enjoyed a delicious espresso martini and a mule. For dinner I tried the ABC salad with salmon which was great, but I would opt for chicken since the dressing is a special ranch and will likely pair better with chicken. My friends all loved their meals as well. They tried the lemon chicken, salmon, and steak dishes. With it being my girlfriend's birthday they brought her the olive oil cake with a sparkling candle. Such a nice touch. The menu is a little pricey but it's fairly consistent with other restaurants downtown. We will be back! read more

We were also there during happy hour and had reduced prices on our wine. My hubby enjoyed the arancini app, while I went with the oysters. Yum! Our mains were the aragosta pasta and branzino. The pasta sauce was the star, and the seafood was cooked nicely. I liked the branzino, but I could have gone without the olive garnish. Overall it made the dish salty. We arrived after the women's soccer match: four adults and two very small children. We were hot and sweaty and this was a pretty nice place for people to come so casual. We were asked if we had reservations (no). We were told that they didn't have a table for six available (fine, we can go elsewhere). Wait. We will make this work. And they did. We were seated in the bar area (a fun treat for people from Indiana with small kids-no kids in the bar). This was perfect since we were seated by a family with four kids. The story here, while this might not seem to be the place for families (and there is no kids menu or crayons) they made sure we were comfortable and kept us out of the way of other guests, should a crisis arise. Now, to the best paw. The food was perfectly prepared. We enjoyed fish, beef, and chicken all with a variety of accompaniments. Each was unique in flavor and was deliciously seasoned. The steak was cooked perfectly. We shared a piece of birthday cake (thank you!). It was festively presented and everyone was given forks. The owner/manager stepped in to care for our table. He made sure everything was well presented and we had everything we needed. There is valet parking but location is walkable. They have outdoor seating (which would have been perfect if it weren't so hot), but by 7 PM it would have been comfortable, even in this heat wave). While the music seemed loud initially, it was turned down as the ambient sound and patrons came in. Court Street Kitchen delivers great food in a comfortable, pleasant, and beautiful space. I can't say enough good things about this establishment. We came for oysters, prawns, and drinks for my birthday. They even asked if I was celebrating something, which I can't remember the last time a restaurant asked me that. The service was 11/10. The oysters were perfection. The prawns were delicious. The espresso martini was probably the best I've ever had. They brought me out a piece of cake for my birthday which was so sweet. What blew my mind is it happened to be my favorite dessert! Olive oil cake with lemon frosting, what are the odds? It was SO good. Then I literally cried when they gave me a hand signed card with a touching message on it. I haven't felt this special in a long time. It's my first birthday I spent away from my mom since moving so it meant so much to me. We sat at a booth/table in the back of the restaurant and ordered appetizers, main courses, and cocktails. We started with the bread service and blistered shishitos, which were great! My colleague had the burger and said it was exceptional (and that's saying something about a burger). My other colleague had the Chicken Cassoulet, which he said he could eat daily. Quite a convenient place to eat if you're visiting the Kroger HQ. This venue is located directly across the street. I was there for lunch with a colleague and 2 customers. Gideon was our server and did a great job. We were asked if we wanted a booth or a table which I was indifferent and ended up at a booth. They do have outdoor seating, but it was too windy and cool. I imagine in the summer it will be a really great place to be. Their menu is quite ecclectic with some very interesting options. It is quite pricey, though. Figure at least $20-$25 per person for lunch. They started us off with some delicious fresh baked sourdough bread served with a mini-scoop of butter as well as olive oil and spices. For lunch I had the Mushroom Ragu. Everything was very savory and delicious. The mushroom is in a minced form over the pasta. Topped with a few shavings of fresh parmesan. My customer ordered the same, but added chicken as the protein for an additional $9. My colleague ordered the Tomato Basil Bisque for $8.00 which she claimed was the best she'd ever had. They don't have a parking lot so most parking is metered on the street or at a lot. read more

Finally made it back for food. Went for NYE dinner, hubby & I both agreed this was our best NYE dinner over the last 5 years of eating at downtown establishments. Patrick was a great server and answered so many of my questions about the menu. He was very kind the entire evening. Favorite item of the night was the olive oil cake, followed by the burger, the grilled oysters and then the scampi. We were both surprised with the value of the scampi, very filling with the appropriate amount of meat. The chili prawns were too salty, I would not order that again. The grilled oysters were delicious but weren't quite as fresh as places like Atwood. They were very large though. I will be back for lunch, brunch and the occasional drink. Finally got to check out Court Street Kitchen and let me tell you, there is a reason they are #8 on Yelp's Best New Restaurants of 2025 list! My boss and I met here for dinner this week while she was in town for an event. Street parking was easy to find. The patio is adorable; what a great use of that space. The inside of the restaurant is moody, yet inviting, and beautifully decorated. We started with drinks-- a mocktail for me and a cocktail for her and both delish. For food, we started with an oyster each. It was her first one ever, but she felt great about this being a good place to try one. We "cheers'd" our shells and slurped them down. I could've drank a cup of the mignonette and wanted to put the cocktail sauce on everything-- super horseradish heavy. YUM. We moved onto butternut squash bisque, which they split for us without us asking. So kind. We both loved how savory and hearty it was. The bread service is popular, so we grabbed an order of that too and I am glad we did. It came with the mouse amazing house-whipped butter, olive oil, and zaatar seasoning. I love having something green with every meal, so we went with an order of the green beans. They were topped with hazelnuts, shallots, and citrus-- very good and crunchy. for our mains, we got Aragosta and the salmon dinner. Everything was perfect. The scallop in my Aragosta pasta was chef's kiss. However, the star of the show was the couscous that the salmon was served on. It was some of the best either of us had ever had. I wish I would've gotten an order to go. Can't wait to go back to get it again. We ended the night with a large slice of their famous olive oil cake. It definitely lived up to the hype. I am not an icing girl, but loved this one as it wasn't too sweet or gritty and balanced the cake perfectly. The raspberry sauce took it up two notches. Appetizer bread and oysters. The oysters were delicious. Main dishes, I had the mushroom ragu dish, companion had the salmon and couscous. The sauce on the salmon dish was drinkable.
