First time trying good plates and it was solid! Ordered takeout and it only took 10-15 minutes for my food to be ready. If you decide to eat at the restaurant, ambiance is good as there is plenty of indoor seating as well. Ordered the garlic fries and house wings. Loved the fries, the flavor was phenomenal. Wings were good as well, but would def come back for the fries.

Cincinnati is not a college town, but this area removed from downtown is near the university and definitely gives off a vibe like it's the sort of place you'd bring the parental units. Their bowl and burger menu has a good amount of vegetarian options (though not labeled clearly) and the list of drinks is long. My Creole quinoa bowl arrived in a carboard container with a plastic fork; I was a bit surprised they wouldn't have real dishes. The flavor of the red beans was good; the quinoa was on the soggy side. While nutritious, quinoa isn't the easiest thing to get right. The thin, grilled garlic bread on the side was as addictively delicious as it looks. There were certainly plenty of things that looked worth trying.

First off, I want to be clear. The food here isn't bad. The meatball sub and the burger were both fine, if unremarkable. The garlic fries were average, if a bit bland. The only real issue with the menu was that it's just a bit too expensive for what it is. My sandwich was a little light on the meatballs, I had several bites of just bread at the end. Nevertheless, what kills this place is the service. It took nearly 40 minutes to get our food and it was not crowded in there. For how long we waited, and given the relatively high prices, it just simply was not worth it. I will say, it was nice and clean, but it felt pretty generic vibe wise. Another thing that bothered me, was that even though it's a sit down resturant where you have to leave a tip and are not offered fountain drinks or free refills, we were still served in plain cardboard trays like it was a fast food joint. Again, not a huge deal, but given the wait and the expense it was disappointing. Overall I would skip this place. I can't reccomend it unless you've tried every other sandwich shop in the area and are desperate for anything different.

Good Plates Eatery is conveniently located right off UC campus and offers a variety of healthy options! The bowl portions are very shareable and packed with tons of delicious ingredients. This is a great 'work from home' spot too! Street parking available or parking lot next door. We enjoyed : Southwest Quinoa Bowl Brussel & Shroom Quinoa Bowl Garlic Herb & Parm Fries

Stopped in for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised. The decor is clean and modern with a farm to table feel. The service is so good. We were approached immediately upon entering and served up quick. I had the Adobo Brisket grilled cheese and garlic parm fries. The brisket was super tender and felt like they made it fresh. Kinda like mom would make it. The park fries were a great side and had a really bold flavor. Jacob had the Ham and Cheese Sandwich which he said was excellent. It looked better than any ham and cheese I've ever seen. I'd definitely recommend stopping in. The problem with the place is there's so much to choose from on the menu. It made ordering a little difficult. Lol not a bad problem to have. Just makes me want to stop by again.

    Mediterranean Quinoa Salad with Chicken

Right off campus, a clean, open, cafe-type restaurant. Friendly staff that will check up on you. A friend had frequented the place and I got to join her today. Her usual was the Mediterranean Quinoa Salad with chicken and that sounded good to me so I had the same. I've never had quinoa before, but I'm always up for trying something new. The meal was flavorful and came with little side dips/sauces (??) of hummus and greek yogurt (?? I may be totally wrong on that one). I mixed it all together and it was very filling and I felt pretty healthy eating it :). It's also a large portion, so I was able to take home leftovers. I'll be back because I definitely want to try some of their sandwiches.

I went here on a whim thanks to the Yelp reviews. It was good, but not great. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 3 is because of their lemonade, fries, and the employee who helped us. I tried the burger and it was nothing special and honestly lacked a lot of flavor. My friend had the mediterranean quinoa salad and said it also lacked flavor. The parking situation in this area doesn't help this place either. I would consider coming back if I was already parked in the area and I wanted one of their delicious lemonades or to try one of their sandwiches. Otherwise I probably wouldn't revisit.

Met my mentor here for lunch and ended up staying for like 2 hours talking. The entire time the wait staff were friendly and refilled our waters, which is a plus since I know it can be annoying when people are sitting (but we weren't taking tables from other customers). More importantly - Oh my god the food is dope! We split the beef and chorizo meatball sandwich (with corn salad), and the braised short rib grilled cheese (with fries). They were both great but the meatballs were far and away the favorite for both of us. The braised short rib needed more of the horseradish sauce (which was basically just horseradish and sour cream), but when you got a bite that had the perfect combination of cheese, sauce, and beef (which they give you a lot of beef), it hit hard. Chorizo and beef meatballs were just consistently great, with wonderful sauce and cheese. They absolutely nailed both sides, with the fries being crispy and soft and hot and seasoned perfectly, without any complaints. The corn salad with jalapenos was super mild, with just a hint of heat, but a great blend of flavors with the creamy feta on top. Plus they have an extensive selection of soft drinks. I only wish they had a fountain soda machine.... Otherwise, all 5 stars!

Great little gem! The food definitely hit the spot and had a home made vibe to. Prices were very affordable and the service was fast and friendly. If you're in the area, definitely stop by. Recommend.

I ordered delivery and wanted to try a few different options. I did the cold fried chicken (5/5), turkey sandwich (4/5, just a little bland), and the short rib grilled cheese (5/5). Sooo good, fresh ingredients, hit the spot. Can't wait to try more options

When you walk past you wouldn't even know if the were open...but if you get a minute stop in. It's a very quaint establishment across from UC. The cashier was super friendly and took my order quickly. The prices are reasonable. The first time I was here I got a smash burger and it was delicious so this time...now I'm on a health kick...I decided to get a quinoa bowl. I got the sweet potato and black bean bowl with beef. The beef was super tender and...who can go wrong with sweet potatoes and black beans. It was really good. It comes with BBQ sauce on the side but I didn't add it. It was good as is...

In the heart of Clifton, GP is a perfect little spot to get lunch or dinner. Within walking distance to lots of places, this restaurant offers hand made goodness! I started my meal with a homemade Rice Krispie which was soooo goood. I ordered the good chicken sandwich and it didn't disappoint! There is a quarter lot for parking very close by. Looked clean and had wonderful wait staff. So nice to see the PRIDE flag out on June 1st!

Working in Clifton and having a short time for lunch, I'm always looking for something good, but quick. After working my way through the typical fast food tour of the business district, I finally had some time one day to try out GoodPlates. Ever since my first visit I've been hooked! The staff is super friendly and the lunch service moves quick. I've worked my way through quite a few items on the menu. The Toasted Turkey Basil Sandwich is one of my favorites, but I haven't had one thing I didn't like! Definitely worth the trip to Clifton!

From the moment we arrived, the hostesses were warm and accommodating, and the service throughout the meal was attentive without ever feeling intrusive. As someone with gluten allergies, I felt genuinely cared for. The team listened closely and offered recommendations that never felt like a compromise on flavor or creativity. We began with a dirty chai latte, aromatic and comforting, though I personally would have enjoyed a touch more sweetness. The dirty French, customized gluten free, was rich, decadent and deeply satisfying. It felt indulgent in the best way and showcased the kitchen's ability to balance comfort with culinary intention. To go, we ordered the crunchy chicken nuggets, fries and lemon ricotta pancakes. The fries were outstanding, perfectly crisp and addictive. My husband loved the pancakes, light and flavorful with a bright citrus note. The gluten free nuggets were enjoyable, though they did not quite reach the level I expected compared to the rest of the menu. Overall, Sacred Beast offers a dining experience where hospitality and thoughtful cooking meet effortlessly. The bar scene itself was very boring, honestly one of the least interesting bar dining experiences I've had in a while. The food was mediocre and not memorable. The only dish I clearly remember, and probably the only one I would order again, was the watermelon salad. Everything else was fine at best, but nothing stood out or made me want to come back. I'm honestly surprised this restaurant is getting James Beard recognition. There are so many better places in the area, such as Colette, Baker's Table, and most notably Grist in Dayton, that feel far more deserving and seem to be overlooked. It makes me wonder if Wildweed has some kind of connection or ownership that helps it get more attention, because based on this visit, I don't see it.

Once we were all in our places with bright shiny faces, we all ordered the thanksgiving special meal. It included just about everything you can imagine being served at Thanksgiving. Three pieces of white meat turkey, which was pretty tender. I small pile of dark meat pieces. Mashed potatoes and gravy, with the gravy covering the turkey and the potatoes. There was dressing, sweet potato casserole (?), green beans and cranberry sauce. It was a LOT of tasty food. Nothing was extraordinary, but it was all good. Oh, we ordered and I swear to goodness the food arrived moments later. I am sure they were moving a lot of these plates and had a process for quick turnaround, but I had to wonder if our plates had been sitting for a while. I suppose if they were it wasn't for long. Nothing was cold or congealed. It seems like their process was working. The meal came with a mini cake type thing in a jar. There were lots of options. Mark and I opted for the special pumpkin with ginger and Jen had s'mores chocolate. The pumpkin one was absolutely delicious. Jen let us try the chocolate one and let's just say I was very glad I opted for pumpkin. When the bill arrived the desserts were added on separately. I mentioned they should be included to our server, who said he would check. Now... it seems unlikely we were his first customers of the day and it seems odd that he would have the desserts added separately. He did check; I saw him. I also saw the person he was checking with shake her head 'yes'. He reran the checks without the desserts. I will say it was nice to have a traditional thanksgiving meal without the traditional thanksgiving fuss. Because the food was average at best and because we were initially charged for desserts that were supposed to be included in the price, this experience comes in with a solid three stars.

The crust is seasoned well, giving each bite a savory crunch before you hit the juicy center. The sauce on the bottom adds flavor but also runs a little thin, so it doesn't cling as much as you'd expect. The mashed potatoes are smooth, and those crispy fried onions on top add the right texture. Solid, comforting, and flavorful -- just needed a thicker reduction to tighten the plate. 2. Gnocchi with Braised Short Rib Sauce This dish is exactly what comfort food wants to be when it grows up. The gnocchi is soft, pillowy, and coated in a rich, slow-simmered sauce that tastes like somebody took their time building layers. You get a blend of tomato, parmesan, herbs, and that short rib flavor that carries the whole bowl. It's heavy -- in a good way -- and every bite feels like fall weather in a bowl. Definitely one of the stronger dishes. 3. Parmesan-Crusted Chicken with Green Beans & Tomato Relish The chicken is fried to that perfect "crisp but not greasy" level. The parmesan crust gives it a nutty, salty pop, while the tomato pieces add freshness to cut through the richness. The shredded parmesan on top melts just enough to tie everything together. The green beans are cooked right -- not soggy, still with a snap. The side dish (mac & cheese, most likely) is creamy with a buttery breadcrumb top that adds the right crunch. Overall, a well-balanced plate. 4. Spaghetti & Meatballs This is classic Italian comfort done the Cooper's Hawk way. The sauce is thick, tangy, and bright with tomato flavor. The meatballs are tender and seasoned well, and the touch of ricotta on top softens the acidity and makes the sauce creamy as you mix it in. The pasta is cooked right -- not mushy, not stiff, easy to twirl. Simple, hearty, and dependable. Overall Impression Cooper's Hawk came through with a table full of comfort and richness. Everything was plated well, seasoned properly, and cooked with intention. The standout dishes are the gnocchi and the parmesan-crusted chicken, but nothing on the table missed the mark.

First of all, the space is amazing; it's open yet tastefully designed. For starters, we shared their homemade BBQ chips. I was informed it was served with ranch but noticed they charge $1 for it which seems nitpicky. It would make more sense to just add it to the price of the dish. For our mains, I went with Creole steak and eggs and hubs the Apple skillet with a side of eggs. His was essentially French toast that was prepared in a cast iron pan and the apples were delectable. The accompanying apple and bacon was perfection. My dish was essentially an egg Benedict served on a fried green tomato and topped with a filet (that was definitely not med-rare as requested) and served with a divine Creole sauce. We both ordered their rooibos mocktail which was so good that I wish they sold it. It's the perfect summertime tea. I ordered their peach butter cake to go but it did not live up to the quality of the rest of the meal so I would skip that. Overall we really enjoyed our meal and will be back try additional items on the menu.
