He told me I had to get an entire new eye exam even though I got a glasses prescription very recently even though every other place I called said I don't. Buyer Beware. Especially if you have vision insurance. The incredibly rude and pushy gentleman who waited on me told me my insurance only covered $120 on my glasses. I bought them (like I said, he was pushy). By the time I got home I knew something was off and I immediately called and canceled my glasses. He was curt, but did it and emailed me confirmation. Never once asked me why. Today I went to Broadway Eyeworks in Walnut Creek. Imagine my shock when I was told that my insurance covered over half the cost of glasses! $600!! I want to start off by saying people at Orion Optical Are so wonderful and welcoming asked me what kind of glasses I was looking for I told the staff I was not sure.They showed me all the Latest style's all the way up to the higher end styles, with being said I found a pair of Gucci glasses that I had to have! Hands down the best in the bay and beyond! From the moment I walked through the door I was taken care of. Having 20/20 vision up until 44 I had never experienced the process of eye exams and finding the right glasses. Dr Sui was fantastic making sure I understood what my prescription was and giving me advice about an eye infection I had been struggling with for years. Then syd (owner) took over and I was placed in very good hands. The glasses selection is vast with so much to choose from but syd made sure I had all I needed to choose the right ones. Along with his extremely helpful assistant and son I felt very spoilt for the wonderful service I had gotten. I even had a follow up call after I got my glasses to make make sure they were working out well. Wow I have a tough time with getting the right prescription for my glasses because of my one right eye which requires progressive glasses. I have seen optometrists in my past struggle to find the right lens that works. Dr Matt Shiu was efficient and quick, he was pretty spot on with my prescription. There is amazing machines here that made the run of tests effortless. I ordered a new pair of glasses because the selection of glasses here are the best I've ever seen! TOO DIE FOR!! The owners have good taste and there are classic and even up to trend styles.My last optometrist in Pleasanton was good but the display of glasses were horrific. Was very happy with my visit here, owner and wife were so supportive of picking out a new set of designer glasses. read more

The male worker that was there only gave me a bad experience in this place. He was inpatient, kept breathing hard in an angry way, didn't give any helpful advice on how my insurance would cover the wholesale price, kept over watching me, but most of all did not act friendly in any shape or form. Turns out when I was leaving he had his cell phone on a movie and he just wanted to go back in watching. I'm giving it 2 out of 5 because although the male employee was not professional or helpful the places does have the glasses I may want to purchase, high quality Italian and Japanese. The doctor and the front desk people are nice and professional. However I think they make up their fees based on who you are or how they see you. My wife had a regular eye exam and we asked how much it cost before making appointment and they said 65.00 because the insurance covers the rest. I then sent my daughter few months later and did not ask for the price because usually prices don't change as much especially when you have insurance, because my daughter was alone they charged her 154.00. When I called they said the prices are given to them by the doctor and they can't do anything about how the doctor charges. So if you are going for an exe exam just ask ahead of time so you don't get any surprises. read more

1st time here and I loved it. The service was perfect. The staff is very patient when helping you pick your glasses and explaining the different options. They have a lot of inventory of designer glasses to choose from. My glasses were ready in less than 2 weeks. I will definitely be coming back next year for another pair of glasses. read more

I cannot recommend this place. I went there to purchase some frames thinking I was going to treat myself and get some luxury frames rather than going and shopping at a optical place online. I picked out the frames that I desired, but I was not properly informed on frames with bridges versus frames without bridges and what frame would work properly for my facial features. I proceeded to purchase these frames and paid almost $900 to find out that these frames are ill fitting for my facial features. After wearing these frames for a few months, I realize that the glasses are uncomfortable and causing headaches. I have gone in and gotten multiple adjustments, which is now affecting the integrity of the frame. I attempted to get the situation resolved, and I am still waiting on a resolution. If I spend almost $900, I should not have to get adjustments every two weeks when I could've spent tremendously less and not having to revisit the merchant every two weeks. During one of my many adjustments one of the merchants mentioned there was an issue with frame diversity. Why wasn't this mentioned when I purchased the frame? The family owned business seems more concerned with their profits than the customer. I was even speaking with my hairdresser today and she mentioned her sister is dealing with the exact same issue at this location. I walked out feeling satisfied, I feel beyond frustrated now. I feel swindled and bamboozled. I literally can't wear the $1,000 frames I purchased. Buy your glasses somewhere else guys. read more

I stopped a few weekends ago while shopping at the Veranda. I was very pleased with how nice the office was inside. The owner and staff were friendly and accommodating. They even let me try on the new Versace glasses they had displayed in the front window. I was impressed with the selection of glasses to choose from. I had such a wonderful experience here. I went in for a contact lens fitting and the store was beautiful, so clean and well organized. They have really nice designer frames and high quality lenses.
