Visited this Nordstrom recently and was impressed by the selection and how easy the store was to shop. There was a great variety of clothing and shoes, and everything felt organized and easy to browse. The only downside was the fitting room experience. A salesperson on the women's floor took my items to a dressing room but didn't tell me where she was going. I ended up spending several minutes trying to find both the fitting room and my clothes. It wasn't a huge deal, but it definitely made the experience more frustrating than it needed to be. Overall, a nice store with a great selection. If you're shopping here, you may want to keep your items with you rather than handing them off to a salesperson. read more

I stopped by Nordstrom Walnut Creek for the Anniversary Pre-Sale event, and it was such a lovely experience. The atmosphere felt festive without being overwhelming, and they even had a beautiful Nordstrom tote filled with three expandable packing cubes that I had monogrammed, which was such a fun touch. While a few items from my wish list were only available online, I still found a fantastic pair of burgundy pants that made the trip worthwhile. The highlight, though, was my experience in cosmetics. Alie was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to understand what I was looking for. She recommended some wonderful products from Armani Beauty and Chantecaille, explaining the formulas and helping me choose products that fit my skin and preferences. Nordstrom itself is still a great place to shop. This review is really for the free styling service they offer. I was in need of a professional wardrobe after working from home the last few years. I set up an appointment with a stylist online and she called to ask what I was looking for, my sizes, color preferences etc. I was very specific- I needed an interview suit for my conservative industry, as well as day to day office pieces and shoes. I also said I was open to jewelry (costume - Nordstrom is one of the best stores for costume jewelry that is still high quality IMO). We set an appt and I cane in and she had reserved a large fitting room and had it filled with suits and separates. Everything in row sizes (I'm a 4 or a 6 based on the designer). Nice job of bringing in both high end and more reasonable prices. No shoes, no jewelry, no outfit suggestions. That was the "style" part I really wanted. Basically for a free service it's a nice time saver to have clothes pulled and ready for you to try on. But that's it. I was prepared to spend a lot of money because I hadn't shopped much in a long time and I ended up with a single suit, a blouse, and a random t shirt I later texted the same stylist to ask if she could pull some options for an upcoming wedding I had to go to. Did a ok job in explaining the baby carrier/car seat functions. This is my first time visiting Nordstrom's in Walnut Creek. The service is outstanding and so helpful in finding items I'm looking for. Tia, in purses and accessories was so helpful in finding a hat that I needed. Her attention to my needs were everything I can ask for. My next stop was cosmetics to look for a certain brand. I received help immediately, and was offered guidance and technique with my brows from Tiffany and Ariyana. They were awesome. It's hard to find service like Nordstrom's provides, and it was worth the two hour drive to the store. The merchandise is incredible, and there's a sale starting on July 18th of all the new fall merchandise coming out. read more

This was my first time visiting this branch, and I was very impressed with their service, selection, and overall experience. The store is very well stocked and organized. The associates are eager to help, and their prices are reasonable. Saturday the 17th I had a wedding at 4 PM and no shoes to go with the dress. I literally ran in and everybody from the shoe department, accessories, to the third floor were awesome. This review is specifically for the menswear department, and I'm just icked out in general and would recommend you shop elsewhere. I typically don't come into the store, more of an online shopper but my son needed a suit for prom. We decided to check out Nordstrom first, the store wasn't that busy. We're in the men's section for probably 10-15 minutes and cannot get anyone to help us. Mind you, there are definitely folks on the floor, chatting with each other and helping other customers. For the amount of money I'm throwing down on a suit, I do expect some level of customer service that's more than just a glance in our direction. Not sure if it was due to my age (I'm a young-ish mom), the fact that we are not what they may consider "normal" clientele (this is WC after all), or that we rolled up in athletic wear after hitting the gym. Regardless, we went to State and Liberty around the corner, smaller shop with men's suits. They were super helpful, we got what we needed, and happy with how we were treated. Super unfortunate but won't be shopping here anymore, or online. I can get what I need elsewhere. read more

We were celebrating an early Father's Day and stopped by Nordstrom. They always have a very nice shoe selection. My dad found a pair of shoes he liked, but they don't have wide width in stock. As it turns out they don't stock any shoes that are wide width. Nordstrom started off as a shoe store so I'm surprised they don't stock wide width. read more

But beyond that, when I complained about my skin condition and the breakouts, she made a very valuable recommendation, scheduled a complimentary facial for me, and follows up with me every month. I really appreciate all her makeup and skincare suggestions which were on point. And the skin care brand that she recommended to take care of my skin issues, really worked for me, I am indeed a happy customer! read more

This review is specifically for Shawna at the Dior makeup counter. Mahalo for the rest excellent customer service, both before us and during our visit. Shawna went above and beyond to acknowledge us while she was assisting a young lady and her mother, and she periodically checked in on us to let us know she'll be right with us. We were not in a rush and was able to browse at all the products we wanted to try. Once it was our turn, boom, she attentive, no rushing, no overly pushing the sales, listened to what we were looking for and made suggestions or recommendations based on what we were looking for. Shopped on Sunday 05/31/2026 11 am - 11:45 am. An employee, an older woman brown hair in a bun on her head, wearing a black jacket with white trim in the men's department was so rude. She grabbed my husbands shirt to get a room started, but did not unlock it, so we had to wander and wait for another sales person to open it. She saw us standing by the register looking for help and ignored us. Then did not once offer to help as she continued to walk past my husband's dressing room many times. She was busy helping another couple. Until it was time to check out, she immediately showed up to get a commission for what? For putting one shirt on a locked door. All while my husband and I found the clothing and sizes needed. This is why I have started shopping in store and ordering online after, these employees don't deserve commissions for neglect. Especially when they are so aggressive about putting a piece of clothing on a door and never coming back until it's time to pay. Nordstrom: you can do way better than this! read more

Terrible experience with Nordstrom. Ordered a pair of shoes for my wife's primary Christmas present, which were set to be delivered to Broadway Plaza on the 24th. My card was charged, and I was emailed order confirmation. Two days later, I receive an email cancellation. After calling in, the rep informed me that another store SOLD the shoes!! Also, that I was out of luck and would not be given any store credit to add insult to injury. Never going to shop here, and will recommend to my friends and family that they all avoid the place. I am so pissed. I submitted my application to Nordstrom for a particular position, which was advertised on Indeed, and then I received an invitation to attend their "job faire." Okay, that must mean I have a fair chance. I get there and they tell me for that position, they only hire from within. They tell me what else is available, and it was a hard pass from me. I go down the elevator, and there is the Brand Ambassador for Creed perfumes there with the line of Creed. I decide to smell a couple of them, being very cautious as I am prone to migraines. The BA, Mikhail, who thinks he is rico suave proceeds to spray one on me even though I said no. I had to drive home trying to fend off a migraine even though I used sanitizer and wipes where he perfumed me without authorization.I arrived home, and scrubbed the area and that crap won't go away. Yesterday I went to Nordstrom's in Walnut Creek with my girlfriend who was looking for a mother of the groom dress. Budget was not an issue just finding the right dress was the important issue. We went to the designer section of women's clothing on the second floor and we were looking around at some lovely short dresses which cheap she wanted, but we wanted some help the entire time we were there looking two women that worked for Nordstrom's paid a no attention. I approached them and told them what we were looking for and they said go down to the end of the floor and you'll find dresses there with no effort to help us in that department at all. When we went to the dress area at the opposite end of the floor, I was shocked it was a mess. It was. The dresses were not presented. Well there were stuffed. Racks with for sale dresses. I asked a sales rep for Help and she got another woman who was wanting to be helpful but was helping someone else. When we said what we wanted, she bought to address that did not fit the description in any way she performed because she was in a hurry to get back to the dressing aisle to help another client. I had really thought that Nordstrom would be the place to go for a mother of the bride dress, but I was wrong. The service level in the state of the dress department were so bad we will not be back. I am a regular at this Nordstrom when I am in town, but today I had an unfortunate interaction that left a bad taste in my mouth. After purchasing an online pickup order (whose staff is fabulous, no problems with them) I noticed another item I wanted, and took it to the Men's Furnishings cashier to purchase it. The item was on a 25% off sale at a competitor, so I requested the item be price-matched. This is something I do with regularity, and i've never had a problem with it. This time, there was apparently a problem, as the associate couldn't do it and brought over someone who I assume was a manager. The item was on a 15% discount, matching another competitor. The manager insisted that the 25% discount I was requesting a match for was ineligible because: "It's for credit card holders" (incorrect, and I pointed out it wasn't) "It's a friends and family so it's too exclusive" (incorrect, and I also pointed that out) and finally, "the item is already discounted so there's nothing else we can do." I know for a fact this is incorrect, and followed up with Nordstrom's customer service online to confirm that they can, in fact, price match these items and this manager was mistaken. I placed the order online and have it coming to me, at the adjusted 25% off price, and likely to be shipped from this location as many of my Nordstrom purchases are. It's unfortunate that store-level staff seemed unfamiliar with this policy and weren't willing to help, while also simultaneously finding various reasons not to allow me to get the price. read more

First off, people are allowed to go into a store and browse. Thats is not loitering. Second off, the workers who just follow people based on looks need to be fired. There were 2 workers following someone in the store, who were obviously just shopping, yet these workers were on their tails the whole time. What a joke!! I know last year we bought from here, but she did not like the options today, so we ended up buying 4 dresses from Macy's instead. Full Belly (cake jars) promotion today, see picture. Last year had a different promotion, see pictures. Atmosphere - Open 7 days a week from 10am to 8pm, and on Sundays from 11am to 6pm. Good size location. Service - N/A. My daughter did ask the salesperson where the evening dresses were for "younger" people. Sadly she did not understand my daughter, so we went to Macy's. Price - N/A. This Nordstrom in Walnut Creek has been here for a long time and is a nice place to shop. The store is always well-lit, clean, and has a relaxing shopping experience. I have fond memories of spending hours relaxing at their cafe One standout feature is the bathrooms - they're always well-maintained, and the women's restroom even has sofas! Parking is also pretty convenient, there's a pretty big parking garage close to Macy's where you can park for free for three hours. Overall, a great Nordstrom location that has stood the test of time! read more

I asked him a simple question about if this item is returnable once opened they couldn't give me a yes or no until he had to basically pick a fight with them completely rude the Asian lady named Nancy W had the biggest issue. I love shopping at Nordstrom for over 20 years! Last best experience was when Chasey and Chemistry worked at Gucci make up counter! To my disappointment the day after Christmas I stopped by to check the new Gucci colors and the person who was there at the time after telling me it's Prada now was not friendly or knowledgeable about Prada! I picked a color for my lipstick and purchased it and asked for a sample of Prada foundation! She gave me a tiny sample and told me they are short on inventory! I think the Prada counter needs a more presentable and more knowledgeable artist! She didn't give me her name but I remember she had blue hair and not friendly at all! I love the #126 Red lipstick that I purchased without her help and I'll make an appointment for the next visit with a Prada artist so they can introduce me to the skin care and all the Prada has to offer! I purchased a gift for niece to be picked up curbside. My fault for purchasing it on 12/23 but I received a notification on 12/24 it was picked up when it was not picked up. I called their curbside number, no answer. Left a voicemail and never received call back . Attempted to reach them through second line they say to call on voicemail and no answer as well. I tried to leave another voicemail but now inbox is full. Spoke to customer service, they couldn't get ahold of store and now chat and was told to call service manager. Called to be transferred to service manager and it was transferred to curbside number again with no answer. It's frustrating that I cannot get ahold of anyone to help and for Nordstrom to steal 113.00 and lie that I picked up order. read more

They do not monitor their curbside pickup. Everyone parks in those spots and go shopping, so if you try to use it there are none available.

I was looking for gifts for a 19 year old girl. I was looking through the skincare/beauty items. Mars asked me if I needed any help. If I'm being honest, I was feeling a little lost. Nordstroms is great at curating great products and their merchandising can't be beat. I walk in and want to buy too many things! She guided me through many options. I ended up buying several gift items: Mario Badescu facial spray, a devine grapefruit scented candle, etc. Mars went above and beyond. She was so knowledgeable about the products. I bought a dress from Nordstrom that I needed altered. I made an appointment for 12:15 on a Sunday. I arrived at 12 noon. Waited for 25 minutes inside the room and no one showed up. A worker said she called alterations and she will call again. By 12:45, forty-five minutes after I had arrived, I decided to leave. The worst customer service for this type of store. Nice collection as this location is one of the few that has collectors and a handful of full-on designers. It's a nice small store with 3 floors and a restaurant. Entrances are 3 coming from each side of the building. They have plenty of nice things while you can score on their half-yearly sale or anniversary. The service was not great. Service in general at Nordstrom has changed and everyone seems to just do things in a rush and make you feel more like a paycheck and a number. The men's collection is not vast but it is there. I felt like I was helping myself with the Nordstrom app and looking if things are at the store or not. The area outside is great with plenty of other shopping and food options. The car park is next door so makes it easy to navigate if this store is your only to go place. Nice place for a quick shop specially if on sale otherwise the atmosphere is nice. read more

The beauty department was having a beauty event plus gift with purchase. I received an oxygen facial and facial massage from Kate Somerville rep. Plus, their products were 30% off, and I received a gift with purchase, beauty samples and a make bag. There was a master class with Gucci Beauty with macaroons and a goodie bag that included a makeup brush. The makeup artist was knowledgeable and a pro at achieving a flawless look on the model. I also needed to do an exchange in the lingerie department, and Ana the sales associate was helpful and patient with my transaction. I miss Nordstrom being in the Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton. I'm glad this location is not too far from my home. The sales associates at this location (Walnut Creek) are courteous, friendly, and display exceptional customer service. Retuned a necktie I purchased online and hoped to find a replacement. A lack luster sales associate was completely not helpful. He pointed to a small table of ties and I self served myself. There wasn't a replacement in stock, but I did find something suitable for twice the price. I needed the tie, so I got it and paid the difference. As I was as I was walking out, I felt completely disappointed with the selection and service. Not a good feeling. I plan to return and get a full refund. Oh, I still need a tie. Found a similar one at Macy's. On sale, of course. read more

Every single pair of earrings I've bought from them has the wrong size. They come about 50% smaller than listed. Not sure if it's just being dishonest or really bad employees. But it's happened everytime with different earrings. Don't buy jewelry from them. Not as described. When you send them back your refunds take about 1 month. read more
