My first time to this Kate Spade store in Livermore. Although busy I was greeted and helped by different employees even going above an beyond to calculate the sale on any of the bags I was looking at. I appreciate the attentiveness. The sale was great I ended up purchasing a bag and even got it gift wrapped. Sales person Jinky was awesome, she hand wrapped our purse since it is a gift. Great selection and they also have merchandise from their flagship store (non-outlet merchandise). Hurry up coz they have good sales this Memorial weekend! Went with my daughters to the outlets for a nice girls day out decided to stop by the Kate Spade store as I have generally found some great things here. However, this time we were not greeted once by any of the staff also every time we moved about the store there was a staff member hovering over our every move insinuating we could not afford anything in the store. Never have I been treated this way while shopping anywhere else. Ended up leaving because it was so uncomfortable. Seriously do better, everyone should be welcome in your store. I love coming here, b/c their stuff is super cute! I've gone to non-outlet Kate Spade stores in Palo Alto and Santa Clara and I just can never find anything there that I like. I always come back to the outlet! After much debate on picking which purse I wanted, I finally picked one. They're all so cute. The staff on the floor was friendly and helped me get a price check. You can always count on those gals to help you out. I'm sure they probably get something for it as well. When I went up to pay, you could tell the worker was like upset to be there or something. So unfriendly with a pissed off look on her face. like giiirl..cheer up a little. She called me up and I was waiting for her to say hello or, did you find everything ok. but no. all she said was "did someone help you". I said yes, her over there. and the next words I heard was, do you want a bag and my total. Definitely no customer service from her. I've seen this woman before, I think she's the manager. I overheard the person next to me paying and they were asked if they wanted to purchase a jewelry baggy for a dollar, I think it was a dollar. Something like that, it's one of those pink baggies with the draw string for the jewelry. I've bought jewelry here before back in April, and bought 2 pieces and gave me a baggy for each, for free. My initial visit to the store was on 9/14 and I tried on the black tie waist ponte dress, and it did not fit. The sales associate Navleen K, helped me and she said that she can help me find a bigger size. She found one online and she said that she can place the order for me. I let her know that I wasn't sure about the dress and I didn't want to wait it and she said it will be shipping to my home in a day or two. I asked her regarding the return policy- she said it's not returnable. I let her know that I did not want to place the order. She apologized and said that since she's placing the order in the store for me, it's going to be returnable and that it's different if I placed the order myself. While she was typing in the information to place the order, she looked unsure, so I asked her again, "Are you sure about the return policy?" She said, " Yes, don't worry". I received the dress on 9/16 and the zipper was broken. I went back to the store immediately and they refused to refund me at first due to their "final sale return policy". I explained to the sales associate what had happened and she kept me waiting as she helped out other customers and she tried to research what happened. At first she said she can't tell who helped me out with the transaction despite the sales persons name printed on the receipt. She tried to check to see if Navleen was new and if she was in the employee database. My receipt did not say final sale anywhere on it and my order box came with a return label. After much back and forth with her and a lot of frustration, I finally got the refund minus the shipping fee. This whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I absolutely love this Kate Spade store!!! Every time I'm at the outlets I'm drawn inside by the various sales, extra 50% or Friends and Family Sale 70% off. It doesn't matter when I go there is always a sale going on and they have some really great deals here. When you first walk inside you're immediately greeted by one of the friendly associates working here and more often than not you will be handed a flyer stating what type of sale is going on at that particular time. The interior is rather small and gets a little crowded as you walk towards the back where the clearance bags and sunglasses are located. I do like that all throughout the store you will find an associate available to help, answer any questions you may have and give you pricing of the bags. There are a lot of cute bags here, different styles and colors for everybody. I tend to stick with some of their mesh tote bags which are usually pretty cheap here and their cross-body bags are always a good steal here as well. When they are having the 50% you can usually get a nice wallet or wristlet for $50 or less when they will usually run you well over $100. They do have other accessories like cell phone cases in some cute colors and designs and they are cheap and worth buying if you can find the one for your type of phone. Sunglasses here are very nice, I feel as though Kate Spade not only has some very lovely bags but they also make some of the best and most stylish sunglasses. They are usually around the $50-$75 price range and they usually aren't included in the sales. I've gotten a couple bags here and this is my go to place when I'm itching for a brand new stylish handbag for a great price. It is a must go to when visiting the outlets, around the holidays there can be a long line outside to get inside but it usually is worth the wait once you step foot inside. Not as much selection as i was expecting. The store was too crowded and merchandise is mostly focused in accessories, specifically bags (which is the last thing in my shopping list always). I did not leave empty handed as the jewelry section had great deals and I got and absolutely gorgeous star necklace with the cutest sachet to wrap it up. Nice customer service, no complaints. Just the store was not impressive to me as the other ones I have seen non-outlet. read more

Saturday evening, came here on a whim since I was in the area. Saw the long line my friend had mentioned before. I usually come when the store first opens so was not used to inching along as they allow one person to walk in as one person leaves as the store is tiny. They were having a 50% off entire store and coupons for an additional 30% off clearance items, which is why the store was even more crowded. After 45 minutes of waiting in line, I was finally in! From the 3 times I have been here, this was the first time I was able to purchase something as I had never found something to my liking. Very affordable and great items for the spring and summer! Although my boyfriend and I were greeted upon entering. We felt unwelcomed throughout the rest of our time in the store. I believe that if you don't dress "the right way" you will be judged unfortunately. It was rainy weather when we came here. My boyfriend was wearing adidas black sweatpants with a very big and bulky rain jacket. I was wearing a rain jacket as well. After we walked in, we started looking on the right side and then made it to the back. When we got to the back, I noticed a worker came to stand near us in the back and I could see her side eyeing us. At first I just let it go because we were looking for a birthday gift for my mom. But she kept eyeing us and I believe it was because of our big rain jackets that she thought we would steal or something. It's unfortunate to be judged but I understand that a lot of theft is happening everywhere. But you may get lucky finding hidden gems like me, especially at 50% off! Picked up a pair of pink leather gloves for $35. Cosmetic bags for $15. Makes perfect gifts! Customer service may be on or off, depending on how busy the store is. On the days I've visited, the staff seemed fairly nice. Store is small buy quite organized and appealing to the eye. Affordable Kate Spade? Okay with waiting in a line? Then head to the Kate Spade Outlet in Livermore. There's generally some type of sale. I went with my best friend on a Monday morning. Since it's the holiday season, there was a line of about 10 people in front of us but the line moved quickly. The lady at the door had a good pulse of how many people the store can comfortably hold. I ended up leaving with two purses and two small wallets. The purses ended up being less than $100 and the wallets (and most of the store) was 70% off. So 4 new items and about $250 after tax. Not bad considering how much these purses normally go for. This is the second time I've made a purchase from this store. All the employees are very pleasant despite how busy they are. The store is pretty spacious and is definitely clean. I'd definitely come back if I needed to buy another purse as a present! read more

While I had a wait quite some time to get into the store (because of the limited amount of people they were letting in) I did so because I had NEVER been to this particular location and wanted to experience it for myself. I went inside and was browsing and saw a pair of shoes and tried them on. Mind you that not one salesperson mention to me that trying shoes were not allowed and all of a sudden I get this comment from Marianne/Maryann that "just a reminder that that we do not allow customers to wear shoes". I was completely blindsided and she actually scared me, and I was not happy in the way she said it to me at all. I told her that they should have a sign saying this and she ignored me and went off. This turned my experience into a very negative one at Kate Spade. I had driven over 1 hour and 20 min and although I had shopped at other stores, I was not expecting to have such a negative experience at this particular location. I was checking the price of another purse but decided I did not want to give my business to this location because of how I felt and how uncomfortable it was for me. Corporate should please teach her how to say things politely and more comforting to customers, especially if she is one of the managers. It was totally uncalled for how she had to "remind" me when no one had said anything to me before. I don't know if I will ever return to that particular location again, but will definitely go to Vacaville and Petaluma for a better experience! This store is lovely but a complete zoo. There are so many crazed shoppers in here that they have to form a line outside. I'm not sure what the craze is, but it's like the old DSW commercials where women go nuts over the shoes. They seem to always have a good selection of handbags and accessories and customer service is good once you're in the store. The lady at the door stopped my mom and I because they had too many people in the store, but after 8 people poured out and an older lady squeezed in while others were making their way out my mom had to ask if we could go in. I pointed out that someone had squeezed their way in during the exodus. The girl mumbled something about getting yelled at by the older lady that had just squeezed her way in earlier and said we could go ahead now. Anyway, not her fault, but this store should really just hire a bouncer to keep out unruly old foreign ladies who feel it's okay to yell at the employees for keeping the numbers of people to a safe fire code maximum. read more

I swear half of my paychecks go to Kate Spade. I love the variety and location. The purses here last a very long time and the prices are ridiculous. I've purchased a crossbody for under $40 dollars and I still use it to this day. Purses, wallets, jewelry, etc. They have all that and more. The only thing I'm sad about is that some of the girls here are happy to "help" Although when you need help, they aren't there. I do have to say one thing, I don't remember her name. She was a cashier, but she helped me pick out a daily wallet and hooked it up with a keychain. On weekends, this store almost always has a line out the door, especially during the 70% with extra 20% off sale sprees. It cantrade half an hour sometimes just to get in. However, the workers are always deeper helpful inside with little papersto help you figure out the price of things with the current discount. They even keep calculators in their kate bags. They've also been really helpful with any returns or exchanges I've had. Note that juste has a new policy that you can exchange your item if it breaks within 1 year due to some construction flaw. Amazing Deals! Better prices then online. Every time I'm in town I come here. When you arrive it's a bit intimidating as they require you stand in line outside. It seems ridiculous, but it's a perk when you get inside, no one is crowding you. Thus, I'm all for the line. It's not like the person wasn't going to buy out the store already. They were there first. The best deals I have snagged are pink and white PJs. Amazing prices. Much cheaper then Victoria Secret and equal quality. I have bought new ones two years in a row. They also have dressing rooms in back that are never busy. The second thing I usually get are earrings. If you ever want to know a price ask a calculator holding staff member. They are more then happy to do the math for you. Parking is a major issue. You need to be patient as you look for a spot in there huge parking lot. Go early it's less crowded. read more

I went here on Black Friday and actually thought I was going to die. The line was out the door and inside was insane. There was no crowd control that's for sure! I found a beautiful all leather bag that was only 80 dollars, but waiting in line was crazy. I couldn't handle the crowd and the mess of people. I've really liked the Kate Spade outlet - you can easily find real Kate Spade items although a huge amount are lower tier items only for the outlets. However, they must have had a robbery or something over the holiday season or they are severely restricting the amount of people allowed in the store to discourage someone from waiting in line to return items. The line now consistently spans at least 45 min - 1 hour while the shop is mostly empty and one employee rings a person up at a time. The employees themselves have always been very pleasant and gracious, but the stores recent absurd restrictions (and at least 50% of people who mosey in the store leave without purchasing) have left a really bad taste in my mouth. Bottom, not worth the wait for me anymore. If you go, be willing to wait and be sure to distinguish between the real and the outlet only products. The real products tend to have small gold metal labels and the font is significantly different. Happy waiting in line. Really disappointed in Kate Spade, much better to get sales online of the real deal. read more

The staff are superficial and uncaring. Me and my mom waited in line to get in, once we got to the front of the line, a bee stung my mom on the finger. We asked the bouncer if there was a first aid around for her bite. She directed us to a location and we left. After my mom felt better, we went back to the bouncer chic to get out old spot back. I told her my mom was feeling better. She didn't care and told us to get back to the end of the line again. I said WHAT?! My mom got stung in front of your store!! She said she would let me in if I asked everyone that was in line if we can go ahead of them. I said, you have to be kidding me? She then asks the manager of the store if we can go in. The manager also said no. My mom asked me to not make a fuss but it was too late, I was mad and couldn't believe how insensitive they were. Don't they have moms too? We went back to the end of the line because my mom wanted to go in. We browse and leave. I go home and write a letter to corporate telling them about how horrible we were treated! Very small store in the Paragon Outlets. Literally stood in LINE for 5 minutes to get in because they said the fire marshall would get them in trouble. Their purse selection was alright...I didn't end up getting anything, but the prices were definitely very reasonable. Ended up getting 2 pairs of SUPER cute studs for less than $25 each!!! I came here for the first time having heard good feedback from my friends, and I'm soooo glad I did! Everything was 50 percent off with an additional 20 percent off...I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT! Even though it is an outlet and they might not carry all the purses, jewelry and clothes you would find at a full price store, I still felt like a kid in a candy store. The store is a good size, and even though there were quite a bit of shoppers inside, I did not feel at all crammed. The workers are also more than welcomed to help. The bag my best friend wanted had a slight crease, and one of the workers saw that we were concerned about it and brought out a new bag from the stockroom within seconds. They were also walking around with calculators ready to tell shoppers how much their items would be with the discount. When I was in the Lucky store, the workers there even raved about how great the Kate Spade is. I had a great first experience, and I will be back! read more

This review is based on KATE SPADE return policy. I made a single purchase and had to return because I found a better purse elsewhere during Labor day weekend. This store had a 30 days return policy, but you would think that since you paid cash for the items you purchase, you would get cash back........WRONG! They provided me with a reimbursement receipt and checks will be mailed to me in 2-3 weeks. They said that because my purchase is over $200 the only way I can get reimburse is through mail. I never heard of this type of policy before, have you? I guess it's better to pay by credit card. read more

Well, I must be at the right place at the right time because on that particular day, most of the merchandise were 40% off and others with an additional 20% off. I've grown bored of handbags that are interchangeable to other brands...same shapes but different logos slapped on. With the discount, it was difficult to say "no" and walk out empty-handed. I found a dusty rose purse (originally $325) for $156. This awesome sales associate calculated the price, WITH tax! She was incredible and a total sweetheart. It was a mental tug of war.
