I literally just walked out of the store and felt compelled to write this review. I was the only…read morecustomer in the store, yet no one greeted me or acknowledged that I was there. Two young Asian girls walked right past me chatting and laughing. I honestly did not even realize they worked there because they seemed more focused on their conversation than helping customers. The bigger cashier lady also never said a word to me. The entire time I was in the store, the employees seemed more interested in discussing what they were going to have for lunch than providing any customer service. It was a disappointing experience and made me feel completely ignored. Basic things like greeting customers and offering assistance should be standard. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

To me this goes a long way to where I'm always more inclined to make a purchase. I walked around for nearly 25 minutes trying to find a gift and was never acknowledge. This despite one of the sales people walking over. She stood next to me folding clothes all the while never making eye contact. I was finally greeted or rather thanked for coming in as I walked half way towards the exit -I hadn't planned on leaving, still hoping to find a gift. So, I took that as a sign and left without making a purchase.

The same company owns both Carter's and OshKosh B'gosh. But merchandise at Carter's is less expensive. Both stores have a huge amount of babies' and kids' clothes. It is easy to find what you're looking for. The cashiers are much busier in Carter's. They have a short line in front of the cashier counter most of the time.

So we were confident that we will get the military discount (which they usually give, and also I was once a retail asst manager) but when my husband was about to pay he said here's my id for the veteran discount, and the lady at the counter was confused, she said they dont give it then she said maybe in selected days then we figured out she doesnt know what the word "veteran" is. So I said military discount. Thats made her more confusing and she said again maybe they give that on specific days, so she went to another colleague and asked (she asked like a teenager coworker) who also confused what "veteran" or "military" discounts means until they just told us they give it only during "Veterans Day". So the only word they knew is Veteran's Day thats why initially she said they give the discount on specific day. So I called my friend from another branch and she sent me a photo confirming that military/veteran discount is 10% of entire purchase. My husband was so upset that we just went straight home instead of shopping for more. He felt disrespected (of course you served your country but refused to give you the benefit that you deserve) or at least be knowledgeable about it. I hope they have a supervisor/manager knowledgeable and matured enough to deal with this kind of simple but important questions. Those who serve for this country deserve respect.

Upon returning it, the lady on the counter told me that no one ever returned such a shirt for the same problem. I think It's ok. She's just stating a fact. 2nd, she says that we must've washed it wrong. I told her that my daughter never wore this yet and have not been washed. She gives a smirk and shows a face where she doesn't believe me. I told her that she can keep the $4.99 shirt so she can show it to the company and I do not need to be insulted by her to get a refund. Forget Oshkosh B'gosh and their partner companies. They've got a good size store near one of the back side entrances to the shopping center. There's plenty of products to choose from here. Some really good deals too. They also had a ton of changing rooms to try clothes on, and plenty of staff to answer questions for you. My daughter was able to get 2 pairs of jeans, a shirt, and 2 swimsuit sets too. You may end up getting advice that's not much different from what you could find with a little research online, while relying on a sales associate with relatively limited training. I'd rather spend my money wisely: get footwear advice from qualified professionals such as running coaches, physical therapists, or doctors, then shop around for the best price at larger sporting-goods retailers that carry quality running shoes and gear and offer strong return policies. I also feel that there may have been some management turnover at this particular Fleet Feet. The service seemed noticeably better one or two years ago.

Right when we walked into Purpose Built I lived the layout and vibe. My husband a blue collar engineer, so when I started to see all the shirts with logos and imagery tailored towards labors I immediately feel in love. There's even a small area for young kids to play while parents are shopping. He found his boots and the young lady who assisted him was very helpful giving feedback on the boots. He ended up getting a totally different pair than he set out to get. We grabbed a couple of shirts and fun sticker decals, he grabbed an one extra for his Chief. Overall, the Americana feel and the support for laborers, blue collar union workers was awesome. We will definitely be going back. And best of all, my husband loves his Boots!!

No women's workwear…read more As a woman who works in the union trades I was really disappointed for how much hype this store has... The men's department was exactly what you'd expect from a workwear store. Ariat, Thorogood, Carhartt, rain gear, hard hats, and plenty of actual jobsite clothing. Then I walked over to the women's section. Instead of comparable workwear, it was mostly lifestyle apparel cropped shirts, fashion pieces, and stuff that gave the "blue collar look" rather than women who actually spend 8-12 hours working on a construction sites. Women electricians, plumbers, ironworkers, welders, mechanics, and laborers need durable, functional work clothes just as much as men do. Brands like Ariat came great FR women's gear, you have brands like Dovetail which I've seen other stores carry. If you're going to market yourselves as a workwear store, I'd love to see the women's department stocked with the same seriousness and variety as the men's, not just stuff women wear to look cool. I really wanted to support this business, but I left feeling like the women's side was an afterthought.
