Terrible business. Ordered a pair of shoes from him a month ago. USPS says he never handed them in. Still not here, still no refund. Don't do business with this guy! Simply put, this is the best sneaker store in the entire Bay Area. The staff is super friendly and chill. There offers on selling and trading in shoes are amazing value as they give you there best offer right off the bat so they don't waste your time or theres. They have weekly worn drops on Sunday's and all of their shoes are priced well in regards to the current markets. Only downside is there hours are very limited from 11-3 only during the week. I would highly discourage coming to this business trying to resell shoes because they will only lowball you especially if they think you are stupid and don't know the shoe game. I was asking friends if they knew of any places that bought sneakers off you and one person mentioned this place so I thought I would check them out. They do not have a phone number provided for the business for whatever horrible reason, you have to enter your information on their website in order to contact them and get a hold of them. So I entered my information and sent an inquiry asking if they buy sneakers off you, they responded not too long after saying to list the shoes model, product code, and size if they were new sneakers and so that was exactly what I did for all 37 pairs of sneakers. They then responded asking if they are all brand new which I just listed all 37 sneakers in the format he wanted if they were all brand new.... Then tries to say some of my sneakers I have are as low as $25-$30 and if I'm willing to accept in that price range. LMAO. Clearly he thinks I'm stupid just because I'm a female and don't know my shoe game because there's not a single sneaker that I provided that is worth that price range BRAND NEW DS. I posted our conversation via email because I have nothing to hide or lie about; I asked if they could tell me a price for each one and I'll see if I want to sell it to them at that price and then they respond saying they don't want to put the time and effort to make an offer if it's not in the $25-$30 price range like what poorly ran establishment would even speak to their customers like that?? The lack of professionalism and customer service is exactly why this business is not going to thrive because they don't have basic, bare minimum communication skills. Anyways, so I told them no I'm not selling in that price range so that they could just make me offers on what they felt had value and was worth more than $50+.... 24 hours pass and I still don't have an email from them... almost like they don't want to do business with me because I won't accept lowball offers LOL. So I emailed them again 24 hours later and used the same vocabulary he uses on customers and asked if he's going to make an offer or not so I won't waste MY time. Sole is one of the best if not the best consignments stores around. I started doing business with Derek when he was selling shoes out of his truck, before the store ever came to be. Fast forward all these years, the guy is handling his business and making things happen. Great story. Before Sole, there were only a handful of consignment shops around. Now, they're popping up everywhere.. I've bought shoes here, sold shoes here and even did trades. I always got a fair amount, obviously not top dollar because they have to make their cut as well. I never walked out feeling like I took a big L tbh. Don't go in expecting to get a king's ransom, be realistic. There's a great selection here, Jordans, Adidas, Nike etc. I always check their site to see what they have in my size, they update the site pretty often. A lot of people comment on the customer service here, I don't expect world class customer service, I just need honesty and no BS. I want to handle what I need and be on my way. Look at some of the negative comments here, the owner replies and acknowledges those people. That's something if you ask me.. They have great deals on ebay, great used deals in store as well. I've been able to cop a few favorites of mine through these avenues, so follow them on IG and their ebay store. Anytime you can't get through the phones, send a email. Sole Supremacy is gonna be my go to for rare Jordans from now on. This is one of the only - maybe THE only shop in the area that has as many rare shoes and sizes as they do. I was able to trade in a pair of shoes and get the Jordan Grape 5's that I've wanted for a long time. Sole Supremacy has been a big part of my sneaker life since 2010. I love what they do, I've seen their business grown throughout the years, and they have a dope basketball team of their own. Throughout the years, I would either be a client or seller to Sole. In terms of buying, sure they aren't the optimal price on the market, but they are real close to it, and quite frankly, I don't have to worry about it not being authentic. They ship very quickly and package the shoes really well, which some small businesses don't do well. Sometimes, I just go to the shop to cop so I can have that instant gratification even though I live 50 miles north east from the shop. When I did sell my sneakers, and I have sold up to 90% of my collection before, Derek would give me a fair offer for them. His offers are based on rarity, condition, and if he needs them for his inventory. Although you can make more profit by selling yourself via forums or websites like StockX, I rather take the hit for the convenience and professionalism Sole Supremacy provides. This is something folks need to understand as these guys need to also run a viable business. I also like how they write you a check right there after you make a deal. This is very advantageous for that quick cash you may need. You can get cash and credit. Credit never expires, but it's also a good option to have in case they get some sneakers you may want in the future. The shop looks dope with all the shoes displayed on the wall and the open space. Their quotes are always lowballs - you can try for yourself. They provide an estimate once you send them pictures(all angles necessary when you upload to Goat). In my experience they always find a reason to lower their quote once you arrive in store, even if any scratches/defects/missing items are mentioned in the email beforehand along with pictures as backup. The gentlemen helping me didn't even feel confident when he tried to lowball me and I felt as if they were trying to take advantage(just my honest feeling during the transaction). One example - I was quoted 180(in store) for a pair a couple weeks prior but when I finally decided to let the pair go the quote was changed to 150 via email. I thought I could bring it in and discuss the price further in person. I went in later that day and was offered a final price of 130 - the shoe was never worn since the first quote of 180 and well kept in the original box in a cool closet at my house. I would recommend selling on Ebay, Craigslist or Goat/Stockx. Even after all the fees, you get a substantially better price than Sole Supremacy. It's not worth it unless you are strapped for cash(they payout via paypal only not cash). It is convenient that there is a storefront and everything can be handled the same day so I would give them one star. It's a pretty bare store so if you are looking to shop around or want to check out products, it's not the place to go(Shoes are not displayed).
