A little update since the last time I reviewed. I've been here a few times now when dropping off Amazon returns as well as picking up orders online. This last time was to order an item to pick up as it was the only location with what I wanted. The pick up area was upstairs and the you basically follow instructions on your pick up email to figure out which bin you should look for you stuff. Now I feel like there's not really any safe or not sure how they make sure anyone just comes in this area and picks up items and just leaves. It's self serve and feels like it's all through an honor system. Maybe I'm wrong. Well this time, I looked at my item and it looked kind of funny and I knew there was another one. So I found the other option and it did look better. I had to return my item and I actually rebought the same item and there was another coupon which made it cheaper than when I originally bought it online. Score. Just had to go through a return and rebuy process which is on the same level where you do pick up. Just make sure to check your stuff as they don't really look at the item before grabbing for online orders. Convenient if you want to do Amazon returns and they sometimes give you an extra discount in-store. But prices of items here are more MSRP, just make sure you do your coupon research and pile them on before making your purchase. read more

Kohl's located in Fremont ,California off of Automall Parkway, is a very superior and clean department store. The store is filled with many items that are neatly organized and properly placed for a pleasant scene. Moreover, while walking through the store, employees are talking with valued. Customers with great passion and enjoyment. I can tell they enjoy their jobs. In addition, and this might not be your average review, the restrooms are unbelievably clean. I have been shopping here since they first came to town. I like a lot of the stuff they carry. Women's clothes & jewelry. Men's clothing and Levi's. Love the homegoods. I must admit; I'm mostly a clearance shopper I want my discounts and coupons too! At first I didn't know what Kohl's cash was so I probably missed out on that at first. I got it now... I hadn't been to regular department stores since the break out of Covid19! I ventured out, masked & gloved. They have hand sanitizers all over someone washing carts near the entrance. And very few shoppers. I felt as safe as possible I guess. Some of the things I don't like; Customer service is on the second floor and the Kohl's exchange policy is extremely difficult w/o a receipt, even at Christmas time. The fact that this store is two stories yet there isn't a cash register on the second floor is nuts! They have a register at "customer service" but... Unless you have a return they won't help you. Or service you, as the case may be... Not enough help. EVER. The first floor has two checkout area's, usually only one is open. It really seems like they are trying to organize all the clearance stuff. Since they were closed so long they probably had time for it... read more

They are quick and it's so easy to drop off your items. My favorite purchase from kohls is when they have their deals on Yankee Candles. 40% off? That's a steal. Visited here today, downstairs was terrible. lady that helped me was nice UPSTAIRS, she deserves 5 stars but with the overall visit, 2 stars. Downstairs workers - while waiting for her to ring us up, (register #3) another lady came from outside straight to her to ask about if she got money off her purchase??? WHILE the Cashier was dealing with another costumer. Cashier should have simply told the lady that came in that there's a line AND she was ALREADY dealing with a costumer. Then when we finally reached the line we were told to go to another person who then told us to go upstairs??? unprofessional, lacks information and downstair workers expect for the male workers looked like they hated their job. the 2 male workers i saw were focusing on go backs and organizing. I have been using their curbside pickup a lot during this COVID time. Kohl's is one of the stores which has implemented it effectively. Place your order, wait for the pickup notification, park at designated spot, alert the store and you will receive your items in your trunk very soon. Apart from the days around Thanksgiving, I never had to wait for a parking spot. But there are always som delays in getting my items after alerting the store. I guess the longest I have waited is around 20 mins, when the associate brought the wrong package out. But so far their service is really good. This is one efficient and safest way of shopping during this COVID times. read more

What is wrong with Kohl's?? I had 2 online orders & they managed to screw both up royally. The amount of time & energy I had to spend to have them remedy them was ridiculous. Their business practices need to be less complicated. I understand it's the holidays but how do you lose an item that is shipped to your store for pickup?? Which ironically was the item that already took forever to even get to your store btw. But yet proceed to send me an available for pickup email?? I called back the store next day like customer rep advised & they still couldn't find it. Got conflicting information from both sides but thank goodness the last rep on corporate phone was able to remedy it. Asking the store was completely useless. I have no choice but to ship to yet a different store & just pray they won't be as incompetent! read more

How am I not surprised this is a two and a half star rating prior to my post. First, I came in with my sleeping toddler who happened to fall asleep on the way to kohl's, so I decided since I was only picking up an online package I'd just carry him in. There are ZERO signs on where to go for online packages on the first floor, so I figure it's at customer service; which I had to find the elevator. I'm a first time customer here at this store so the layout didn't help much. I find the sign to the elevator by luckily turning left, still no signs for online orders; still carrying my toddler. You step off the elevator go down a hall and there's customer service, there is ONE small sign that says online pickup, and amazon right above it, zero by the cash register but one amazon. So I wait my turn, still holding my toddler, get to the counter and tell the lady I'm picking up an online order to which she apologizes and says they are located at shoes. Frustrated I simply state it would have been nice to not wait the five mins holding my toddler had there been signs. The lady next to her as I turn my back so snarky states there are plenty of signs that say where it's located. Irritated, I pick up my package and start counting the signs, there are about 3 on the second floor, and NONE on the first floor so IF you do not step foot on the second floor you literally only see the tiny 8x12 sign in front of the customer service line with a SMALL print at top saying it's located at the shoe dept. Lady, I KNOW it's the holidays and you might be dealing with a lot of disgruntled shoppers, and maybe you forgot what it's like to be running errands with a toddler but unless the sign is bigger than an 8x12 I'm not going to see it! So you talking behind my back trying to state a case in which I wasn't even talking to you about, just know I counted the signs. So good luck for the rest of the Christmas season dealing with moms like me who rely on online shopping to manage their very busy lives and not pay attention to the small print sign in front of your line. The workers upstairs were very friendly but had a very bad experience on checkout. I asked them to help me with the Kohl's pay on my phone so I could easily use my %15 coupon but they didn't seem to understand and asked me about my Kohl's card. I said yes, I definitely want to use it but I don't have it with me which is part of why I wanted to use the Kohl's pay. Instead of letting me punch in my phone number to look it up, she insisted to scan my CDL and made me feel like some sort of criminal or something. Wanna know a not so secret? During the last minute shopping rush, the best place to check out is customer service but only if you have something to return/exchange! Which is exactly what I had to do anyway since my online purchases weren't the sizes I needed. Regular check out lines downstairs suck the life out of you. I took a quick look around for merch to exchange and took the escalator up to guest services. After a five minute wait, lovely Catherine helped me figure out the best way to return my items. Some were on my provided packing slip while one wasn't (slip lost somewhere at home). Just to be clear, for even exchanges the items must have the exact same regular tag price. Not just a shop for clothing, Kohl's has housewares, electronics, kid's toys, both fashion and fine jewelry, makeup, perfume, accessories, shoes, etc. Ooo! Need a box for jewelry gift giving? Pay for your items at the jewelry counter to save time! There's this one super helpful lady always working the counter whenever I need a 4"x4" box. I don't remember her name but she's fabulous! I was able to find the descaling solution to clean out the Keurig. Pricey for ~$18 a bottle! Wait for a sale and use them coupons. Ask for Kohl's Card holder scratchers when they have them! Extra 15, 20, or the ever rare 30% off helps. Nike and top name brands are excluded though. Try out the buy online, pick up in store option-- save on shipping. read more

Customer Service: All my returns at the store, whether it be online or bought at the store, was easy. The only bad part is the line. If he go during peak hours like the weekend, it can get crazy and you'll have to wait so long. I suggest doing it in the morning on a weekday if you have time. Parking: More than enough everywhere. It's been a while since I last shopped here... but after making an Amazon return and receiving the 25% off coupon I was tempted to shop for some summer out fits! I found lots of cute stuff! After finding out that the fitting rooms are still closed I figured I would buy it all and return anything that didn't fit so that I wouldn't lose out on my savings! All great until I get home and find one of those beautiful sensor tags on one of my dresses! And no the sensor detectors never made a sound on my way out!....So frustrating because it all fit and I was not planning on returning anything! Within the hour I was back... and decided to pick up two more tees in different colors that I loved so much after trying them on and was hoping they would still honor the 25% off, considering I had just made my previous purchase. I get to the CS counter and explained that I had a sensor left on one of my items and since I was already there I also wanted to add two more items. I was nice and understanding about the sensor issue (I get it mistakes happen) but when the lady at the counter called the manager in hopes that she would take care of me... all she said over the phone was "no, that coupon is a one time use"... Alicia, I'm also in retail management myself. And our motto is to always take care of our customers. Especially when one has to return back to your store due to a mistake your employee made. As a manager, i know that you can make exceptions and override just about anything. Maybe consider being more understanding. Embarrassing, but I'm kind of in love with the Simply Vera line of statement jewelry & shoes. It's tough to get the shoes if you're a 6.5 shoe size, so stalk the stuff online. AND the LC Collection (Lauren Conrad) collection has a wonderful selection of casually chic weekend wear, lots of flowing neutral tops and YES I STILL watch The Hills, NO that is not the reason I buy the LC line, it's surprisingly comfy. Catch them on a Kohl's Cash day, you automatically get $10 for every $50 you spend. The store is a complete mess, but is that really what you're here for? It's the deals, suck it up. The night crew associates were exceptionally helpful and polite. The less can be said about the night manager who denied a sales purchase and told me to go upstairs and "try". Although the store had just closed and I was in the store before closing it is still a qualifying purchase and for him to basically act rude and lazy was a big mistake. If this is the type of managers this building promotes or retains then that is quite disappointing. I've been to the Great Mall location with the same situation and they were polite and not only allowed the purchase from the front registers but also just reminded me of the hours in a respectful way. I took advantage of their Veteran's Day sale and in order to get free shipping I had it shipped to their store in Fremont for pick up. I placed three different orders so that I can get the best discount. I ordered a onesie for me (in kid's size) plus a candle holder. On my second order, I got a matching onesie for my husband and on my third order, matching onesie for my son. These are all from their Family Christmas PJ collection. It was ready for pick up after two weeks later. When my husband and I went to pick it up, we checked out their Christmas PJs, We actually ended up liking the two piece pajama style that we didn't see online. When we went to Customer Service we told the young lady that we wanted to exchange our order for the ones we found at their store. She said that she might be able to do it if the regular prices were the same. She went and looked for our orders but couldn't find the candle holder. After about fifteen minutes and looking at my phone to see what the candle holder looks like she found it. She verified that the regular prices on the tags of our online order are the same as the regular prices on the tags of the ones we got off the racks. She pressed some buttons and told us that she cannot give us the same prices even though we are just trying to do an EVEN EXCHANGE from the same Pajama collection. The Customer Service made it more complicated that it needed to be and she said that she can only give us 20% on the ones we want. Not only did we end up not buying the PJs off the rack, she got me so mad that I just returned my whole online order right there and then and this was a pretty good chunk of change for three Christmas PJs and a candle holder. She basically helped Kohl's lose my business. I guess this is what their Customer Service is supposed to do. A few days later, I found nicer looking, better quality Family Christmas PJs at Target and it was a sweeter deal than Kohl's Veteran's Day Sale and I didn't have to resort to placing three separate orders or dealing with coupon codes. read more

Came here quite a few times and every time I come here, I'm getting clothes for my kids. Whenever I come here, the toddler section is always a mess and it takes a while to find what my kids like and their appropriate sizes. In terms of prices, they are a little high compared to other stores. I came here this past weekend and noticed that some customers were there to return items but there was no sign anywhere that states returns were upstairs and not at the regular cashier stations. Came here to the dress shop today. Your average department store, do your own shopping and don't expect the sales associate to know anything. They will be there to direct you towards the correct section but that's all. There wasn't even anyone monitoring the changing rooms. This one time I was walking around holding women's clothes. I wandered into the men's section and decided to use their fitting room for my convenience. The employee rudely said "ugh, prefer that you try those on in the women's section." Not a problem, but don't make it sound like I ruined your day. Since there aren't a lot of people working on the floor, you will generally find clothes on racks where they don't belong. Their customer service and return section is on the second floor. Plenty of parking. read more

My experience today while in the Amazon return line at Kohl's in Fremont. This does not apply to all of the staff however, there are some staff that can be flat out rude. Jenna in particular who was working the Amazon line was annoyed with the process of returns ( mind you I'm at the mercy of their wifi) and perhaps the amount that I had. She spoke down to me told me I should have been prepared by having screenshots of my return codes. I felt rushed so I tried to make small talk, when I said I didn't know about that, she replied that I should know because it's states that clearly on the Amazon app. ( While I actually appreciate the suggestion, her rude tone I did not) I understand the frustration the staff must have with the seemingly endless line. However, taking it out on and embarrassing the customer is unprofessional and unnecessary. Staff, such as Jenna, that give dirty looks ( please remember the mask doesn't hide your eyes) should remember not to take their frustrations out on others especially because we too, as customers have to endure that same line. It is unfortunate because the Manager was very sweet and responsive however despite that, I will not be returning to Kohl's to make returns, let alone shop. read more

I usually have no problem with Kohl's. They have plenty of selection and overall good pricing. The lady at the register kept pressuring me to sign up for Kohl's rewards card. I said no from the beginning she kept pushing for it. "Are you sure you don't want to save 30%?" --- this was after I had said no twice & my card was already charged for my purchase .... One of the items I purchased still has a sensor on it that she failed to take off. Pretty unprofessional to not pay attention to my items & leave the sensor on the clothing. It didn't beep when I exited the store so I had no way of knowing until today when I was about to wear the item. Will have to return just to have them take a sensor off ***Update: two of my items have sensors on them still. Placed an order online. I paid with Apple pay and my address is saved on there. I checked the tracking number and FedEx has it on hold because the address is incomplete or wrong. I called FedEx and they tell me that Kohls has to fix the address. I told them that it was just missing the first 4 digits of the street number, but they told me to still contact Kohls. I called customer service and they told me that it was my fault and that they can't do anything. That is total BS, how is the company blaming something on me that I didn't even do wrong??? The customer service people can't even speak correctly and give you the run-around. After I get all this fixed I will never in my life shop from Kohls ever again. You guys suck!!!!! read more

Just went here to this store location earlier just because my family was near the vicinity at the time I bought items. It was a good deal for me to go because it was weekend, and my husband is there to help me with the kids. And, I was decided to go to any kohls because I have a birthday discount which will expire soon. Everything went well, until I got home and found that the cashier man didn't removed the ink security tag. Now, I have to hassle myself to go with the kids, in a different kohls location near us, in a weekday, just to have it removed! read more
