A very competent, friendly and intelligent woman named Princess just helped me, and I'm going to drive to her store tomorrow just because of her amazing service over the phone! I'm very frustrated with the store, so I just went there this morning to get some color joico and they have a high lift blonde didn't have any on the shelf so I ask for it and these two girls they're just too busy talking about other crap I asked about the color to see why didn't have it at all they just said oh I don't know what you're talking about we never have it they have the toner semi but they didn't have the permanent and they never heard about it and I've been using for the past four years or three years so I'm so disappointed that I'm gonna start buying my color someplace else different company totally different, when you go to the beauty supply and they don't help you that's very disappointing I said can you look on your site to see if if you're going to continue having it and she said we got our computers updated we cannot look on that right now OK read more

I stopped shopping at cosmoprof in Fremont close to 4 years ago because of how horrible The customer service was. This is the only location where I have ever been treated poorly, like the employees hated their job. The reason I stopped going is now the manager, which is mind blowing! She talks to people like they are stupid. I went with a co-worker today and it was the biggest mistake. The employee Karina had no idea of product that the store even carried, weird. I'm not innocent, I was unsure if the amount I had on my cosmoprof credit card and didn't have my card on me, I know.... My bad. However, any other store would have handled the situation better and not have to ring me up a million times. They clearly don't know what they are doing. Katina raised her voice at me and was rolling her eyes at me and when I called her on it the manager, Anna jumped to her defensive "like don't worry, I'll handle it" as if I was in the wrong. Almost laughable! I was thinking of switching back to Wella because they're toners are amazing, but decided after being so poorly treated that I'd rather stick to any color line that salon centric has to offer because I would never shop back at cosmoprof. I'll be paying my card off and closing my account. I do not want to give my hard earned money to a store that has such poor customer service or to a company that employees such ignorance. Being in the hair industry I am super big on customer service but I also understand with that being said that the customer is not always right. This is not one of those cases. My daughter(12 years old) was super excited to buy a comb and a super cute bottle from this store in Modesto on standiford Ave and never did I see a sign that states you have to be a licensed hairstylist to shop here And the lady waiting until we walked up to the register‍ Not friendly at all. First of all, yes, Cosmoprof is a store only for licensed beauty professionals. They make this VERY clear on the door before you walk in. I got to come because my Aunt is, well, a licensed beauty professional and one day she asked me "you want to buy hair stuff with me for cheeeeep"? Uh, duh, ya. Walking into this store, located in a the back of a deserted looking plaza (quite shady actually lol), I felt a wave of undeserved sense of accomplishment K-Fed style since I am about to get deals only avaliable to professional stylists! The store front is nothing special, small shop with 3 rows of hair supplies. Most of their products are significantly cheaper than general store prices. I got biolage shampoo at about 40% off even amazon prices! I felt like a kid in a candy store. Their flat iron prices though are about the same as market prices so nothing special there. The main draw here is their discounted hair care product prices :). Nothing about this place is catered to the general public, the store front, or their service, lol. The lady at the cashier was nice but kept saying how she was "SO TIRED and NEEDS A BREAK" lol. And now you guys may hate me because most of you read this reveiw won't be able to go :( sorry! Befriend a professional cosmetologist! Or even a beauty school student! Just make sure they have that elusive CosmoProf card ;). read more

Not open to the public, must have cosmetology license to buy things here :( ...I never realized that this Beauty Supply was here, it's near the Salang pass resturant, and the Afgan Kabob house near Fremont and Thorton Blvd. There are a lot of deals, looks like there's more selection here than the Sally's beauty supply nearby. read more

I like this CosmoProf. They are friendly, professional, and most of their staff is knowledgable. They keep up on stocking products, and always have the newer OPI colors (but those go quick!). It's also spacious, and clean. I've always had good experiences here, and will continue to shop here. Love that they are only a few minutes from my house, too. read more

0 STARS! Wow absolutely horrible service. I had a couple of questions and received very brief and uninformative answers. Not only that, but the guy was being absolutely rude, received so much attitude. Never experienced such horrible service! When I asked where the scissors were he perceives to correct me for using the wrong term, and tried looking for an actual pair of scissor, to show me... unbelievable, I know what they look like! Wasted my time trying to explain to me that they are called shears, instead of being helpful! I understand I was using the wrong term, but the attitude was definitely not appreciated. Also, when I asked a question he did not even turn around, he was just on his phone. This was not it, during my check out I wanted two transactions, as I was trying to clear my basket,he grabbed it and tried to clear it himself. After I told him that I was trying to separate it, he just stared at me for a while. When I question why he wasn't ringing me up,he said " I need your card" with so much attitude. I don't understand why he was just staring and doing nothing instead of asking for my card... he continues to say "You should have known that I need your card." When I first tried finding this place, I though they were closed. It can appear from the front that they are no longer operating since there is no handle on the front door and it's dark.... They ARE open but you have to drive to the other side. They should really put a sign. Overall, this Cosmo prof is okay. It's a smaller one but they have pretty much most of the brands you will need. I feel like they are never fully stocked though and they have almost always been out of a product I wanted to buy. The staff are nice for the most part but they're not really attentive and friendly and don't seem to have too much knowledge about the products I have asked them about, unlike other Cosmo profs I have been to. You have to let them know when you are ready to check out because most of the time from my experience, they're rarely by the registers. read more

I worked for Cosmo 6+ years. Love my customers. I worked my way to store manage. Shortly after I took the positio upper management changed. The TM was a strong ignorant woman. She was happy when she instilled fear or shame. This woman only gave positive feedback when she was shaming other managers. The constant demeaning and work overload put moral on the floor. Not once did she walk into my store and speak to our customer it was the opposit, she came in ( she's not a small woman at all) and would make them walk around her. Never once trying to help or even address the customer. she hired a dm that made things even worse. The dm only lasted 18 months. But had the TM addressed any of the complaints that several managers had the problems the dm created could have been far less instead she wouldn't even respond to the managers. We lost 11 great women because of this team. Most of these woman had been with the company 10+ years. And all this was before Covid! I was fired because I stood up to these woman. Now the business in the store I worked in has lost most of the customers. It's a shame that corporate let this woman and her mean girl group destroy what so many had worked hard to build. I hope this makes it to Chris desk. And I pray he investigates (if it's not to late) I still have customer tell me about Cosmo and I'm sad. We had a thriving business in the Hoover store. I also know the customer would come back if things change. Change has got to start at the top. read more
