The haircut was good and the service was quick, but Marie's attitude and customer service were unacceptable. I clearly explained before the haircut that I wanted to start conservatively and, after seeing the result, decide if I wanted a little more taken off the sides and back. When I asked for a small adjustment, she became visibly frustrated and told me I should have said so before she finished. I explained that this was exactly what I had communicated at the beginning, but she did not respond. I paid the full amount and even left a tip, but the experience was still unpleasant. A good haircut is important, but respectful and professional treatment of customers is equally important. I hope management addresses this feedback, especially regarding Marie's attitude toward customers. read more

I visited this location on Sunday, June 21, and was helped by the tall female stylist working after 5 PM. I brought multiple reference photos showing exactly the haircut I wanted. Instead of working from the photos, she repeatedly told me she couldn't tell what I wanted from them and asked me to describe the haircut using barber terminology. As a customer, that's frustrating because the entire purpose of bringing reference photos is to show the style I'm looking for. I'm not a barber, and I shouldn't be expected to know the technical terms for every part of a haircut. The photos clearly showed a low taper with longer textured hair on top. While I understand that a stylist may need clarification on certain details, it felt like she wasn't interested in using the photos as a reference and was annoyed whenever I asked questions or requested adjustments. The haircut itself was completed in roughly 10 minutes and felt very rushed. I also had to ask her to thin out the top after she was finished because it still felt too heavy. When she asked how long I wanted the top, I specifically said around eyebrow length, but it didn't feel like much attention was paid to the details I was providing. My main issue wasn't the final result, but the communication and customer service. If a stylist needs more information than what's shown in reference photos, I'd expect them to help guide the conversation. A haircut can have a major impact on someone's appearance, and I expected more care, communication, and professionalism. I would give a zero rate if I could. My husband and son had been coming to this place for a while for convenience, but this time the lady cut my son's ear and didn't even bother to tell us. I saw the cut with blood behind his ear and asked her, and she even blamed my son and said it was because he moved that she cut his ear?!!!! So unprofessional. The place has questionable sanitizing practices so we took my son to an urgent care for precaution. That being said I received the worst hair cut in my life last week . This woman is not qualified to trim a dog . I have never seen anything like this she couldn't get me out of the chair fast enough she didn't check anything it's so uneven I'm wearing a hat . This is one of the dirtiest place I have visited. The lady asked me to sit on a chair without cleaning the hairs from the previous person. I told i am not sitting at this dirty place and she cleaned it for me to sit on the chair. What a ridiculous practice. She used the black cloth to cover me while cutting and not sure what happened to my skin, but had allergy reactions for the whole week. I went in today and I showed pictures of what I wanted not only did I not get what I asked for but my hair was absolutely butchered as you can see in the pictures the lady had no idea what she was doing clearly and left my hair looking terrible I had beautiful long hair and now I have literally chunks of my hair missing never come here they're extremely rude. She ripped my hair while trying to comb it while combing my ears and my face not just my hair and save your money and don't ever come here please take it from me. I gave her pictures and she still just ran the machine over my head I showed them five pictures taken with a zoomed light on all five sides of my head. She still asked me for numbers. I don't understand those numbers and most of the time the numbers are different at different places. If I have to tell everything why don't I just buy one of those machines and cut hair by myself? I love my haircut!!! I went here because Supercuts was closed today, but it ended up being a blessing in disguise. My stylist today as Jenny, and she was very sweet and knowledgeable. She helped me decide on the style for my new job and making sure it was super low maintenance since my morning routine has to be limited. There was no wait time, the cut was super quick, and I left feeling satisfied and refreshed! You can't beat that when it cost $18. I started coming to this Great Clips location (Osgood) in late 2021, over a year into the pandemic. My hair was looking pretty disheveled from inconsistent cuts and maintenance. I used to have a regular stylist in my hometown, but since moving to the area, I struggled to find one that I really liked. On my first visit to the Osgood Great Clips, I was fortunate to have Sarene help me. She took amazing, high-end salon type, care and provided me what I considered a consultation. I came in with my hair styled to show how I normally wear it with product, we washed it out while Sara asked me questions about my lifestyle and what I wanted my hair cut to look like. While she was cutting my hair, she even took the time to teach me about how my hair naturally lays and the most flattering type of cut for me. I still remember that first visit, how the other stylists were very friendly with their clients, even the ones cutting a small child's hair. Sarene even recommended some products for me to maintain and style my hair based on my new cut. After, Sarene told me she'd see me in a month and I've been coming to see her for a fresh cut regularly since then. My experience is always positive, the store is always clean, and the stylists are always friendly when I check-in after checking in on the app. On one of my visits, I got to meet Ray who was also very friendly and was very happy to meet and interact with me. The woman who cut his hair didn't fade his cut and his hair on top is SO choppy! It's a HIDEOUS HAIRCUT! On the back of his head, she shaved his hair a whole inch above his hairline! And it's crooked af! He went here because his barber was booked and we have a weekend full of events... NEVER AGAIN! After moving to South Fremont, I have been searching for a diamond hairstylist, and it's rare to find one working in a chain. However, Karen is an impeccable stylist. She's trained barbershop style and knows how different men's hair textures should be cut. My hair is naturally spiky and straight, and she faded it beautifully. Tip: Know how short you like your sides and how much you want to take off the top and she'll do the rest. It won't be the fastest cut because she is detailed like that, and not factory cut and done. Great location, minutes away from Warm Springs BART and situated in the Walmart plaza. Awesome place for when you're running errands and need a cut. They're having a special since it's they just opened, but ask for their extra coupon for additional savings in your future visits. I'd give zero stars if I could. The only reason I came here for a haircut is because I got a $5 off coupon in the mail and I live a 5 minute drive away. I got my haircut around noon on April 3rd, 2023 by a big Punjabi lady. She stated she has been cutting hair for 15 years. She didn't line up my sideburns correctly, and cut a huge bald spot on the right side of my head. I had to ask her multiple times to line up my side burns the same way my hair grows and she didn't know what I was talking about. She told me here at great clips, they don't do line ups, which I found very strange of her to say. Every barber that has cut my hair has done this correctly until this haircut. I had to go to another barber to fix my hair and I cut off my sideburns completely as the Punjabi lady ruined them. I left as a very upset customer. I won't be returning. read more

Got one of the worst haircuts in my life from this place. Honestly, Idk what she was thinking because I told her not to trim my top hair. Mind you, my hair when walking in was split. She ended up cutting the ends of my split hair shorter. You would think that she knows that that's the top hair. I said I didn't want it short nor touched. From all other stylists I have had, this one is by far the worst, and there are some BAD ones I have had. (I have had great stylists too and I hope they are well.) None have made this mistake. She knew I wanted a zero fade. She did NOT give me a fade. She gave me a disconnected hair cut. When she showed me the "results" of the disconnected "fade", I asked if she could make it blend more. She proceeded to tell me that if she cuts it anymore, she will be cutting my top hair shorter. Mind you, this is just about 1.5 inches above my ears where the disconnect happens, SO there are still plenty of my side hair that needs to be cut, AND if she knew she was cutting my top hair, why did she cut it in the first place when I told her not to. WTF. I was livid. This is the second time in a row I have had a bad haircut from great clips. Not the second only, but the second IN A ROW. It looks a bit better now after I asked her to fix it but golly! Shit is worst than my worst self hair cut, and I hope that says something. I'm gonna have to fix it myself. read more
