I recently hair my hair cut and highlighted and Miki did a fantastic job!!! This is probably the best hair job I've ever had! Perfect cut and color, very good communication, and very thorough. Thanks!! read more

I love this place! We don't live as close but try to make it anytime we get since it's my daughter's favorite place to get her hair cut! The owner is the sweetest and so patient! She cuts it the way the daughter wants it. My daughter wanted curtain bangs for a long time and she made her that it was the right length and kept asking my daughter if this was okay. Always quick service but it gets busy! Owner knows all her returning customers by name. Everyone understands the wait when it's busy but it's worth it. She always offers my daughter candy but my daughter knows better lol read more

I chose this store because of all the good reviews on Google. However, my visit to this salon was a complete disaster. I didn't get the friendliness or professionalism everyone else is talking about. I received the complete opposite. I would only recommend this salon if you want to ruin your day. The owner's rudeness was beyond belief. Instead of offering any helpful, stylish suggestions, she asked me for explicit instructions, defeating the purpose of me seeking professional advice. Her impatience and outright rude behavior were unbearable. When I considered seeking expert guidance elsewhere, she violently tore the protective shield off me (which I laid my phone on), causing my phone to crash to the floor. Her response was nothing short of a hateful stare - NO APOLOGY at all. This experience left me disheartened, both by the abysmal service and the unfortunate fate of my phone. I happily visited the salon early morning, and I am happy to say she successfully ruined my day. Good job on this! read more

I used to cut my hair here years ago. The cutters name was kim.. She no longer works there. I asked the owners where she had gone but nobody there knows where she went. She cut my hair really well but now she's gone. It's ok I found a great hair lady . Her name is Connie, she used to work at KimP's in Newark on sycamore Ave, but now she has moved to Utopia Salon in the Rosemont Shopping center at 35142 Newark blvd. (408) 876-7811. Call Connie if you're looking for a great affordable haircut. read more

It's a gem haircut place for sure, she knows how to give fades and great at giving advice on what hair would look good on you. Very good at listening and super friendly. read more

Went here on a lunch break to get a quick cut. I walked in with no wait, awesome. I didn't catch the hair stylists name, but she was very accommodating and assuring. She did a very good job with the side part and added a hard line part. She asked for what kind of style I wanted and got a good idea up front. This was great because I've been to some shops where they ask one line for a cut then make up the rest as they go along lol. I was pleased with my haircut and will be going back! read more

My go to place for haircuts! She is very detailed and polite as well! She takes walk-ins as well, which is great. I go after work, and usually don't have to wait long. She does what you ask beautifully and it is affordable! I love the Y2K vibes, seems like its still 2009 in there... and I love it! read more

This is my new go to barber. There was no wait, the stylist was very kind and gentle, she looked at the picture of the style I wanted and replicated it exactly. Bonus points for not trying to sell me anything. Very reasonably priced at $35 for a women's cut (without tip). read more

Great place to get a haircut, Miki takes walk-ins and is very quick when cutting my hair. After going to her several times, she remembers how I like my hair cut. She always does a good job! I highly recommend her! read more

Came in here for a haircut for my daughter. Miko was just finishing with a customer so she was able to start my daughters haircut without much wait. She asked me what I wanted and she gave a recommendation, and I went with it. Once Miko started she got down to business. She was probably done with my daughters hair in about 10 minutes. And my daughters hair looked great. It's a super cute haircut that totally highlights my daughters naturally wavy hair. Definitely coming back here for her next haircuts. read more

I have been coming to Miki's for over 10 years. I live in Roseville now and whenever I'm in the area I come to see Miki. Haircuts and waxing for myself and my son and daughters hair cuts. She's friendly, accommodating and I'm never disappointed! read more

Miki is great. After even the first time she understood my hair and head shape. And by now she's mastered everything and knows exactly what I want without saying a word. Service is great and she makes great for a personable person. Even the backup barbers are not bad either. Most of the time she can accommodate for me even at a last moments notice. Can't complain! read more

Mikki has been doing my brows for years! I'll never let anyone else touch my brows but her!

This place is cheap and good! I used to go to Zee at Chic Cuts in the mall, but ever since she doesn't work there anymore, I switched and came here. They do a great job and their prices are reasonable. The only thing is they need a bit of guidance. i have to tell them how to cut my husband's hair just correctly. But maybe that's just me being very picky. Every 6 months I get foil highlights but I haven't gotten them done here since they are still too pricey for highlights~ read more

Thank you for being open on a Sunday. Prices are reasonable. Husband got a haircut and he was happy with the result. read more

Kv Express Cuts - Price - Hair Salons Near Me - Newark, California

Well... A baby haircut is going to take time and the hairdresser cannot get pissed that the baby is moving and that she will try one last time to shape the hair and if not give up! I was requesting multiple times that i will hold the baby and she can try. She wasn't even willing to help! Two/Three times she keeps track of the number of attempts and then gets rude! When i called to ask if they would do baby haircut she accepted and I took my 3 year old. Before starting i was told that if the baby moves they can't do the haircut perfectly and i said okay since it sounded fair. When the haircut started what I realized is that she expected the baby to be perfectly still and doesn't even ATTEMPT to try to have even a bit of patience. Ofcourse we can't expect toddlers to behave like adults!! Wish I could take a video of our experience here and upload it! I would NOT recommend this place for kids and we will go to a kid friendly hair stylist next time!! read more

Took my 2 yo here. He hated it but I loved it. Fastest cleanest haircut he's ever had. Compared to attempting to cutting his hair at home, it's was so much less of a headache. The owner just got straight to business and was so efficient at getting it done. Definitely will be returning. read more

I have come here for years. I bring my son to get his haircuts and they get it perfect everytime. The ladies here are very friendly and they hand my son candies all the time. :) I also get my eyebrows waxed here and they do a really really good job. On occassions you get lucky and they can take you in right away but for the most part you do have to wait. Keep up the good quality work read more

Came here because of recommendation from my wife who just loves Miki. She is very friendly and welcoming. I get a a high and tight fade and she did it perfect. Miki definitely knows how to use clippers which is rare at a salon. Do yourself a favor and give Miki a try. You won't regret it. read more

Love this place. Been coming here for several years for my kiddo and I. Nothing too fancy for me. The girls know how to do haircut. My son has no hairline and they always cut his hair just right! I'm very picky when somebody cuts my hair, and all 3 ladies are great! I drive from Santa Clara and it is worth the drive! I tried other places around my area, but if I want my hair done right, i would have to go to a very expensive salon. Can't do it all the time. Today for example, I came very close to closing time, and she still took me. She trimmed my hair and my bangs and I feel good about it. If you want your hair done right and nothing too fancy, come to this place. They do hair good, especially temperamental hair like me and my son. read more

My go to place for eyebrow waxing and I've been coming here for about 10 years. $10 for an eyebrow wax and I love the way they turn out every time. There are 2 ladies that do my eyebrows, one of them is the owner or manager and she is sort of tall with dark medium length-ed hair (her chair is right next to the desk), she does a great job. However my favorite is the other lady who is kind of short, also medium length-ed dark hair, she happens to do my eyebrows more often and I love her! She is sweet and consistent. I should probably learn their names! Lol. They are always friendly and they remember me every time I come in. I've never had any hair cut services done here but they are always busy cutting hair. Love this place! :) read more

Love Miki so much. So nice, and so affordable. She is taking all covid precautions seriously and the experience was great. Totally recommendn read more

I came in for a haircut. The barber/stylist was rough with my scalp and pulling on my hair when combing . Then she lied about how much the haircut was, which was super creepy. I told her exactly what I wanted when I came in. She told me a price. Nothing extra was done. And then charged me a different price upon checkout. I won't come back. read more

This place has gone downhill. The owner doesn't listen to her customers. I just got done telling her not to use clippers on my hair, only scissors. Less than 60 seconds later she was justifying to me why she was using clippers. I have been coming here for over 10 years now. This is my last visit. I will never go here again. read more

Here's the place to get an inexpensive haircut that looks expensive. My husband and son have their haircuts done here, and when my usual haircutter was out on maternity, I tried this place. I feel so guilty because I love the way I look now, and this will probably become my new salon. I also had my brows waxed, and the shape is great. read more

I'm from St. Louis but I have family in the area, so whenever I come in i get my haircut. They do a great job every time! I never have to worry about how it's going to turn out like most shops. read more

I'm a resident of Los Angeles who has friends and family in Fremont, so whenever I visit, I like to stop in to KV Express for a trim. The service is very attentive and friendly, and although their price for a simple haircut has gone up a little in the last few years (so FYI, the photo of the price listings is outdated), it's still very reasonable. I have had all three styists--Miki, Rosie, and Kim--help me with my hair and they all understand how I want my hair to look. I'd like to add that they really know how to cut Asian hair in particular. There's also very little wait time to get service, if at all (I usually come in the late morning). I've been coming here for at least six years and I've never come out with a bad haircut. read more

I've been a customer since 2005! They do an awesome job on their waxing. They take their time and clean thoroughly the waxing areas.

Worst haircut experience ever! The owner, Mickey is extremely rude and has no notion of customer service skills. Also, most painful haircut I've gotten. She was yanking and pulling my hair constantly throughout. I was really close to just asking her to stop altogether. NEVER COMING BACK! read more

My Daughter 8 , my son 11, daughter4 and I walked in and asked for 2 haircuts.. 4 guys walked in after us. Both my 8 year old daughter and my 11 year old son sat down to get their hair cut . The Lady with the really short hair (don't know her name ) did an ok job with my son's hair BUT the tall lady that was cutting my daughter's hair was REALLY RUDE !!!! i heard her telling my daughter to "keep your head down" (she was getting a short hair cut) when she was almost done I checked her hair and it was COMPLETELY UNEVEN!! I told her in a nice way uhh i think its a little uneven but she said "no its not " "see" and i said no it's uneven " well im not done" The cape was already almost off of my daughter and she started cutting her hair again !! and she said "well she keeps moving" WOW she is 8 Not 2 !!! it states in the window kids haircut $10.00 she said "this is an adult haircut " so "you have to pay $20.00" well nobody told me that when i asked for the hair cut and she had told me about the 20.00 charge after i gave her my card !! and than ran my card !!! I was so upset I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!! now i have to find someone to fix my daughters hair !!!!!!!!!!!! oh ya when we had left My daughter told me that the lady cutting her hair told her "if you keep moving im not cutting your hair " instead of telling me that she keeps moving her head ! they were obviously rushing so they help the other 4 guys read more

Surprisingly one of the best hair cuts I've ever gotten. I wandered into the salon one day while getting my car serviced, and I'm glad I did. I'm an Asian male with notoriously unmanageable hair, but the nice Vietnamese lady managed to make it look great. Recommended. read more
