Nurse Kalee and the front desk staff are incredibly welcoming, professional, and knowledgeable, making me feel comfortable every time. Over the years, 8 years to be exact I've had Botox, hydrafacials and microneedling. All of my experience has been fantastic. The providers take the time to explain each procedure, answer all my questions, and ensure I feel completely at ease. My results have always been amazing. What keeps me coming back is their attention to detail and commitment to client satisfaction. They use top-of-the-line products and technology, and I love that they tailor treatments to my individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Also with my complicated work schedule, they always finds a way to work around it so I am very thankful. If you're looking for a high-quality med spa with skilled professionals. I highly recommend Ariba Med Spa. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my skincare and aesthetic needs.

My frustration and the reason for this review is with LaserAway as a company, specifically the booking process. I booked an appointment through the LaserAway app about three months in advance. A few weeks before my appointment, I called to confirm everything and was told that the appointment I booked through the app wasn't actually something they could accommodate. This is incredibly frustrating. If customers are encouraged to use the app to schedule appointments, why does the app allow you to book an appointment that the location can't actually honor? I specifically booked that far in advance so I could plan around the appointment and make sure I had a time that worked for my schedule. Unfortunately, this isn't the level of customer experience I expect. The staff themselves have been great, but the booking experience with LaserAway as a company has been consistently frustrating. At this point, I plan to use the remaining balance in my Botox Bank and, once that is used, I will no longer be giving LaserAway my business. It's disappointing because I've had positive experiences with the nurses and staff, but the overall customer experience and difficulty with scheduling have reached the point where I'd rather take my business elsewhere.

I figured I would book for facial with Jassi and call to let them know I wanted a chemical peel. Day before my appointment, they called and confirmed my appointment and confirmed my chemical peel and I was so excited! I came in the next day extra early just incase there was any forms to fill out but they just asked for my name and let me know they will be with me shortly. Soon after Jassi came and got me and took me to the room and she was so warm and welcoming!! She explained the entire process of the chemical peel and even told me about Diamond Glow which would only enhance my chemical peel and explained that process and benefits as well. After thinking about it ( for about 30 seconds) I decided to add the Diamond Glow to my Chemical peel. I'm so glad I did because it was so relaxing and I could just feel myself falling asleep because Jassi was so gentle and would always make sure I was doing okay. The chemical peel process was as expected, it burned but that had nothing to do with Jassi, she gave me the fan before the process and turned it on the highest setting. Overall, I will be back for another treatment and I'll bring my family with me!

I had been going to this place for over a year - had over 12 face laser sessions. First, I used to get sessions from one of the nurses named Cam. She was very impatient and rude, along with zero information about how to take care after the session. Later another lady (Monica) informed I was suppose to ice it for atleast 20 minutes right after the session, which I was NEVER informed up until my 8th session!!!! I started GROWING hair rather than getting rid of them, especially on my chin and neck, which was scary. Monica started giving me sessions. She was sweet and a lot better than Cam, but still the problem was never resolved and I was told again and again the same thing. I showed her the pictures and she said it's due to hormonal changes. I made sure with my health professional and they said it was nothing like that. My whole face got messed up and ended up having a large amount of hair growing. Now, I have started my laser treatment ALL OVER AGAIN from a different place! So I ended up flushing over $1,200-1,400 down the toilet! I am very displeased with the results. I recently visited this medical spa for a Pico laser treatment and was extremely impressed with the entire experience. The staff is professional, accommodating, and genuinely caring. The two ladies (Crystal & Sidney) who assisted me were attentive, kind, and never made me feel rushed. What I truly appreciated was that there was no pressure to purchase additional services, they focus on what is best for each client rather than upselling. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the staff was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to educate me about my facial features and explain what would help create a more balanced, refreshed look. I went to Velvet Med Spa for micro-needling and it was an amazing experience. It was my first time, so I was a little scared, but after I had the numbing cream on for 30 minutes I didn't feel anything. The facility is very nice and clean with very friendly staff. It just feels like he is wanting to publicly look like he is addressing the situation properly. I did end up reaching out again today, per his request, and Elena Aleteanu, the other owner, has not changed her stance. She is telling me that they can't do anything on their end and that I need to reach out to Square. Square is telling me that they can't do anything on their end and that the business needs to initiate the refund. So, I reached out to Ronald again directly, and he did not respond. In addition, he got my Google review deleted and is trying to get this one deleted as well, but thankfully Yelp is a lot better about keeping honest reviews. I also forgot to note that the service was booked for two hours total, as a side by side massage. Elena tried to SCAM my sister and her partner by offering each a 1 hour service, one at a time (because of being understaffed), even though it is a two hour service. I paid $400 for the massages, so she's was trying to tell my sister that each service (which included a full massage and facial) of $200 was for one hour only, which is a lie. ORIGINAL POST: AVOID California Skin Care & Day Spa in Newark I prepaid for a service (it was a gift), received a confirmation reminder the day before, and made arrangements for my sister and her partner who are visiting from out of town. I even paid for an Uber to get them there. They arrived on time and the place was closed. No staff, no setup, nothing. They waited about 40 minutes, while I tried calling and messaging every available number. Eventually Ronald Aleteanu, one of the owners, responded on WhatsApp , but that did not change the situation and the service still was not provided. Between the Uber and waiting, this ended up wasting about 2 hours of their time (& money for the Uber), and they left with nothing. After all of that, Elena Aleteanu (who eventually came) claimed she had called and left a message (and at one point claimed that she talked to someone - a complete lie). I never received any call or voicemail, and I confirmed that the number I entered was correct. Their explanation just does not add up, especially since they had no problem sending a reminder the day before. What is most frustrating is that they still refused to issue a refund for a service they never provided. Instead, they only offered store credit, which is completely unreasonable. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. I also posted this on NextDoor and numerous people replied noting that the same thing happened to them. So this is not an isolated incident. I've posted those screenshots here.

The extractions she did was the most gentlest I've ever had. My skin was initially irritated and inflamed, but when I walked out , the redness and irritation were almost gone. I'd recommend this place and am planning on coming back for my next facial!
