I've written a detailed description of my encounter below but if you don't feel like reading, know that this Doctor has another yelp location that has been reported closed in which the reviews speak for themselves. When your appointment is at 11:45 and it's 12:30 and no one has said anything or come to check on you....... I came in for iv hydration to help nip this cold I have in the bud. This place had good reviews, was open and able to fit me in on short notice. Service from the front office staff was subpar. If the treatment is going to start late or the doctor is delayed, you need to communicate that with the patient, not just keep them waiting while you whisper outside to try and figure things out. Seriously biggest pet peeve ever! But that's not all. Tech inserts iv, all is well until she tapes it down and turns to accidentally yank out my iv!! Oh not to mention she blames ME for moving when she was the one who turned and pulled it out. Are you f'in kidding?! 2nd try, no good. 3rd try, Dr. FINALLY comes in, wiggles the needle around - OUCH!!! Dr. Yanks it out. They talk about my veins and how small they are bc I'm dehydrated. Try's another vein, nope. Moves to other arm, and tries another vein. nope. All the while the tech keeps saying how she had the first vein and I moved and it came out. NO, you turned and pulled it out. B*TCH. Dr. Moves back to other arm, obviously flustered she doesn't take note of the anxiety attack I'm having from being poked (couldn't breathe, pale, lips loosing color), and sticks me and says it's good to go. I tell them it hurts a bit and she says it's fine, so they leave me. 10 minutes in, I look down at my arm to find a SWOLLEN arm, that hurts to touch. I call them in and they frantically turn the nob to stop. They tell me my vein probably ripped and the fluid got in my bloodstream. Didn't take blame that I told them it was hurting and that maybe it was their fault in the first place for sticking it in the wrong place. They refunded my money, and I left still sick and with a swollen hurting arm. Stay far away!!! read more

Thank you for the long response but it seems like you missed the point. 1. Okay, you have an office protocol during emergencies and I understand that. I stated we had to wait for a little bit during our appointment but I did not complain about that as my issue was not regarding that. But since you brought it up, your reasoning of "to avoid reception area crowding" did not even make any sense. Nobody else was in there but my mom and I during our appt. 2. Since I had already done the Myer's cocktail with glutathione add on 4 days prior, and according to you that's what most of your patients get, you presumed that is what I wanted to get. I asked for a very specific IV treatment when I made the appointment for both my mom and I but you decided to completely ignore what I had asked for and instead gave me something different without my consent. You did not even consult me first. This caused confusion which I was blamed for because I did not confirm with the front desk. What more could I have done on my end to make it clearer that I only wanted glutathione with vitamin c IV and not the Myers cocktail? I specifically said that during the phone call when I made the appointment. Unless I act as the front desk, I wouldn't know what else to do on my end to make things clearer as it is and to know what goes behind the scene. If in your opinion it did not make sense that I only receive glutathione with vitamin c, rather than the full-on cocktail you gave me, why not inform and consult me about it first rather than giving me something without my permission. And if you don't think the glutathione with vitamin c is not good enough as you mentioned, why have it as a solo treatment in the first place? The other places I have gone to (and no matter how many times I get the same treatment), they always verify with me the treatment or IV I will be getting and the dose. Your office did not do even the most basic of rights of medication administration. 3. You said the whole thing that happened with my mom from the procedure was normal. Nothing about her arm being swollen, numb with a tingling sensation, pain, and tightness (unable to even make a fist) is normal when getting an IV. You couldn't even see any blood when doing the drawback. "This is very normal for first time to be uncomfortable at first or her system was not liking it." Again, this was not my mom's first time doing IV of the same cocktail. She has gone to multiple clinics from different areas in the US and outside the US. Not once did my mom feel any discomfort during the procedure once the needle had been inserted to the vein. 4. And to be clear, I did not run away without paying. What I did was pay for the service I had asked for rather than paying for a service you thought I would have wanted without consulting me. As for my mom, you also tried giving her a different service than what I had asked for. I never gave a review to any doctor before, because I never got depressed or expected this to happen after a doctor visit. I went to an annual check up for my son and myself at Dr. Saxena's office. I never seen a doctor that does things quickly and doesn't give you enough time like this doctor. The first visit I wasn't able to speak and tell her everything I have and I told myself she could be in hurry especially she told me let us see how the lab results will be. I went when we have lab results ready and she kept talking quickly about one of the problems. When I asked her can you repeat the name of the problem to understand why I'm going to take this medicine, she laughed and told me "you just take what I give you, follow me blindly. if you need to understand, come to see me without an insurance, if you go to another doctors they won't go through the lab results and explain." She repeated this many times! In short, the doctor did not explain indications, risks, benefits, and side effects for any of the medications she gave me, some of them were food supplemental that I purchased from her office. I also was surprised of the amount of medicine and I had to ask the nurses to explain how many times I should take each medicine, as I bought it from her. I won't go back to her, even if she has experience, I have the right to understand the medications very well. Let me be very clear at the beginning that I did not get any treatment done here. This review is about my consultation experience! I made an appointment. The girl at the front desk was very nice. She walks me in the consultation/procedure room. Dr. dont remember his name walks in. He made me feel super uncomfortable. He walked in with the book of pictures of the procedure that they do. I told him I am here for "Laser hair removal procedure" and would like to talk about that only.(One thing at a time!) he then says that what area are you looking to get it done. I said full legs. But before we even start please tell me prices so I know if I can or cannot afford it. He tells me that this is somehting that I need to get it done at every 4-6 weeks. I was like.. the reason I need to go for laser is I dont ant to deal with 4-6 weeks of removal drama. iF THATS THE CASE i D RATHER GO FOR WAXING! He asked me to show hi my legs I said no, I am not comfortable with him. God knows what did I say wrong, but that dude got angry (he did not say or show t, but you can tell that he was getting very defensive and not in a professional way!) i said just give me a number how much will it cost! he said $500 per session and thenafter 6 sessions we give you discount I asked how much (he was still mad at me I guess because I told him I am not comfortable showing you my legs)he said 10%. Now in my head I am trying to think 8 sessions how much its gonna cost me ( i am not that good at math!) s Anyways so I ask him tell me exact number for the entire 8 sessiosn for my full legs hair removal. I have been seeing Dr. Saxena since Sept of 2012. She has turned my life around. I have a rare disease for which there is no cure. It is a dysfunctional immune system disease which causes inflammation. It was affecting my eyes, sinuses, ears, thyroid, liver, spleen, skin, adrenal glands. It was causing RLS and serious insomnia. After 6 months of following Dr. Saxena's treatment plan my eye doctor took me off all 3 anti inflammatory eye drops. Now after 4 years of treatments I am 90% symptom free. It was a blessing to find Dr Saxena. I was feeling miserable beyond explanation. I was experiencing extreme fatigue, muscle pain, muscle cramps, lots of inflammation, constipation, hair loss, low blood sugar, low blood pressure, dizziness, low libido, etc. The list goes on. Just an update: having found a new office to assist in my care, it is even more obvious to me how incompetent this office is. I would have let things be as they were, but after the doctor reached out to me following my first post asking me to soften my review, and then today when the doctor herself commented, I am compelled to say more. After all the things I mentioned in the original review, the straw that broke the camels back was being told it would cost me $175 to have a phone conversation with the doctor. I had blood work done and she was to go over the results with me. My next pellet appointment was set for 2 months out, so I knew there wouldn't be any procedure done until then. All that was needed was a conversation. When I asked if this could be done over the phone, instead of taking time out to come to the office, Kris said yes...just call a few minutes before to give your credit card number.What?! I had to pay an office visit fee to talk to my doctor? Are you kidding me?! I work in a doctors office and we would NEVER charge someone for talking on the phone to the doctor. That is just greedy! Im giving this place two stars i have never left a doctor crying , I felt so terrible about my experience here. I have terrible acne and I have been bullied about it all my life , this was my first time making an appointment for laser to make a difference in my skin. I was excited and looking forward to lasering my acne , the doctor didn't make it about me didn't seem concerned didn't actually explain to me anything he did everything in a rush, I like my doctors showing interest in helping me achieve my goal. Instead I felt so alone in the process not knowing what I was getting myself into. I did it anyways because I wanted to get there and give laser a try he did say it kills bacteria in the face so of course I wanted to do it. But I just wished he would of taken the time to understand my issue and help me convince me about staying with them and keep coming back for more. I still had to call back to ask more questions. My friend recommended me to come here and now I feel bad because she got great service and I didn't. Now I have to look for a new place to help me with my acne issue.
