All of the dermatologists I contacted in my area - Oakland - either weren't accepting new patients or were difficult / impossible to reach, so I decided to see Dr. Chiang, even though his Fremont office is 35-40 minutes away. Dr. Chiang's staff is efficient & also asked if I had any other questions besides my tick bite - & I did have minor issues that I wouldn't otherwise have seen a doctor for. Dr. Chiang was nice, warm, friendly & smart doctor. He prescribed some ointment to help my tick bite heal & prescribed antibiotics to address possible Lyme disease. Doctor helped me with my minor problems: 1) dry skin on the back of my neck - turned out to be eczema, to which I apply the same ointment I'm using on my tick bite; 2) plantar warts on both feet, which Doctor "killed" by freezing; and 3) a cholesterol spit under my left eye, which doctor said is fine & I can "treat" by addressing my overall cholesterol levels. Dr. Chiang practices out of their Pleasanton office on Saturdays, so I'll go there for my follow up. It's much closer, about 20 minutes away!

Instead, it actually helped treat the warts on my hands and face. The other provider made the treatment process extremely straightforward and was knowledgeable about how to properly treat them. In comparison, my experience with Rebecca Shpall at Sutter Health was very frustrating. It took months without receiving appropriate treatment, and I felt like my concerns about the warts were not being properly recognized or addressed. I ultimately had to seek care elsewhere to get the treatment I needed. I would personally recommend avoiding Rebecca Shpall at Sutter Health and seeking out another dermatologist who is knowledgeable in their specialty and can properly evaluate and treat your condition. Your time and money are valuable, and in my experience, seeing another dermatologist made a significant difference. I was able to get an appointment with a dermatologist who had the appropriate knowledge and experience, and I finally received effective treatment.

Recently, I developed a new skin condition and, due to my busy work schedule, I booked an appointment with a dermatologist through Zocdoc. Unfortunately, my first experience with a dermatologist near my workplace was disappointing. I was misdiagnosed, and the treatment approach was not aggressive enough to address my symptoms. I decided to seek a second opinion and found Dr. Charles Chiang through Zocdoc. Dr. Chiang is, without a doubt, the best dermatologist I've seen since moving to Northern California. He is extremely knowledgeable, took the time to truly listen to my concerns, and carefully evaluated my condition. He correctly identified that I was dealing with psoriasis and developed a treatment plan tailored to my needs, including different medications for different areas of my body. I'm very grateful to have found Dr. Chiang. His expertise, attentiveness, and thorough approach gave me confidence that I was finally receiving the right diagnosis and treatment. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and caring dermatologist.

I figured I would book for facial with Jassi and call to let them know I wanted a chemical peel. Day before my appointment, they called and confirmed my appointment and confirmed my chemical peel and I was so excited! I came in the next day extra early just incase there was any forms to fill out but they just asked for my name and let me know they will be with me shortly. Soon after Jassi came and got me and took me to the room and she was so warm and welcoming!! She explained the entire process of the chemical peel and even told me about Diamond Glow which would only enhance my chemical peel and explained that process and benefits as well. After thinking about it ( for about 30 seconds) I decided to add the Diamond Glow to my Chemical peel. I'm so glad I did because it was so relaxing and I could just feel myself falling asleep because Jassi was so gentle and would always make sure I was doing okay. The chemical peel process was as expected, it burned but that had nothing to do with Jassi, she gave me the fan before the process and turned it on the highest setting. Overall, I will be back for another treatment and I'll bring my family with me!
