Hubs and I were walking past the shop in the San Francisco Outlets in Livermore, CA. A men's jacket displayed on the mannequin caught his eye. He walks right into the shop. Just to let you know, he is not into fashion, and not much of a shopper. Plus we have never heard of this brand before. We were warmly greeted. I ask about the jacket hanging up in the window. The associate, who was kind as can be, walked me to the rack. Up close, I saw the body of the jacket was white leather. I asked what type of leather, it was lamb leather. In my mind, I was guesstimating a $2000ish price tag. I asked about the price, it was $4500. [Gulp]. I said it is a beautiful jacket but too pricier for us. Hubs agreed, but was a bit shell shocked on the price range of the shop. She added it was currently 30% off. No doubt that it is a bargain for sure, just not for us. The jacket was stunning though, it was a stylish gentleman's spring jacket with classic lines in a modern look. Not trendy so it was appropriate for a variety of ages. The staff were the nicest. No attitudes. Down to earth. Brunello Cucinelli has men's and women's clothes. The company's clothes and accessories are made in Italy. High quality material. For an expensive high end boutique brand their customer service is horrible. 4-6K for a sweater (50% off original retail). The sales people were stuck up - if you are looking at price tags - you can't afford to shop here. Additionally all sales are final, no returns no store credit, no exceptions. If you walk out with complete outfit you are looking at 50-100k the price of a car. Yes you can buy a car or an outfit here. Mainly for an upscale store I'd expect better quality service. The quality of items is excellent but not worth the price tag. I also prefer their understated and classy style of the brand vs the bling of many other expensive brands. read more

Not only did they immediately lock the doors when me and my family walked in (they weren't locked for the previous customers), but as I was looking at a jacket an employee yanked it from my hands. Cashmere sweaters, gorgeous tulle skirts, beautiful bead work in lovely muted grey and cream colors. I was so happy to find one store at the San Francisco Premium Outlets that was, well.... premium! I found the exact skirt, I had admired earlier this summer in Vegas! No "made for outlet only" here! Just end of season items! My skirt was marked down from $1,395.00 to $837.00 to.....$$502.20! I have a lot of pieces from Brunello Cucinelli thought I bought from Neiman's and other local boutiques in the Bay Area. Absolutely one of the best designers. Unfortunately, this store has horrible employees. I've been to the store twice. The first time I tried to buy a $3,500 piece for myself, but they wouldn't take my size off the manikin. So, rules are rule and I put my name on the wait list. I never got a call back.... I went back today and bought my fiancé a very nice shirt for about $1,200, which was a deal. No one said "thank you." The manager was helpful, BUT I felt like they were surprised I couldn't afford the shirt. Not a good feeling. Not that $1,200 is expensive for this store, but even when I buy a pack of gum at Walgreens, I get better service. I can go on forever about this place.... I recently discover Brunello Cucinelli while visiting Neiman Marcus and loved the clothing but was in a bit of sticker shock when I saw how much this well made clothing cost. I started to google them and to my surprise found this outlet located right here in the East Bay. I went in and purchased last years collection and a pretty hefty discount. Very pleased that this outlet location carries quality higher end designers. Be prepared, it's still expensive but a lot less then at the Retail stores. While the clothing and fashion are superb, the customer service is anything but...the associates in the store were neither welcoming or interested in making the shopping experience anything I would want to return to. When my friend asked if she could try on a blouse she was not escorted to the dressing room but rather simply told the first one on the left is open. No assistance or interest was expressed by any of the three associates that did not budge from behind the register. The staff are rigid and unethical. They wrapped the wrong size shirt in my bag after I tried several sizes. When I discovered that couple of days later, I went back to exchange it for the smaller right size. They refused. The tag was still on and I have not used the shirt. They said they have "No return or exchange policy". Despite their mistake, they refused to take action to correct it. This is not the treatment you expect after you spent a few thousand dollars on an outfit... Very careful with their rigid policies! read more
