However, that is understandable because there is only 1 Cartier lab in the U.S. (Told to me by Orion Optical). So it was to be expected. I was super hype, so I called each week after paying to see when they would come in. When I called, they tasted me as if I were family. They knew exactly who I was, they spoke warm and welcoming. They always gave me any information that they had at that time. Now onto the sunglasses. This is my 1st pair, but not my last pair of Cartiers. Lyn helped me out and was super knowledgeable and easy to work with. I brought in a bunch of ideas and pics, and she really helped bring everything together. She gave honest suggestions on what would look better for my face instead of just going along with everything, which I appreciated. From frame size to lens sizing bring out a ruler to measure me up. She definitely felt like the specialist when it came to this type of custom work. Shoutout to the rest of the staff too--everyone was friendly and helpful throughout the process. She also helped me pick the perfect lens color to match the panther eyes on the frames, which came out What stood out was the attention to detail--especially with the diamond cuts. She pointed out small details I wouldn't have even noticed, which made a big difference in the final result. It did take about 1.5 months, but that's expected with custom lenses and special ordering. Definitely worth the wait. They do get busy, so I'd recommend making an appointment. I walked in and got lucky Lyn was available, but better to book ahead. I was just browsing for a new pair because my current sunglasses were getting loose and I needed to find frames that fit my thin and low nose bridge better. I found some frames I liked and Samantha let me try them on in all the colors they offered. After I decided on the colors, I was pleased to find out they were having a buy one get one free sale which I think they had last time I came in. I chose brown and black. When we got to the register we got to talking about my current sunglasses, also from Quay, and Samantha let me know they offer free adjustments for Quay sunglasses if you bring them in! She took one look at how they sat on my face and went to the back to adjust them; in no time she came back out and had me try them back on. She adjusted the sides and the nose pads, and to my surprise, she adjusted the nose pads the complete opposite way than I thought I needed and they fit me SO much better! My mind was blown realizing I didn't exactly need new sunglasses, I just needed them adjusted to fit my face correctly! I did need a new style though so I'm happy I found not one, but two colors in a new style. I also ended up purchasing the cute little black and gold zip up sunglasses case that I could potentially use as a wristlet wallet if I really wanted to. So two pairs of sunglasses, a new case that has multiple uses, AND I my current sunglasses fixed to perfection? Yeah, I ABSOLUTELY got my money's worth here! THANK YOU SAMANTHA! You are a life saver. Came here over this past weekend to get some help repairing my glasses that got bent after I…read moreaccidentally sat on them. One of the representatives, Wendy, was incredibly helpful, as she took it upon herself to bring them to the back and reshape them back to normal. She was very attentive, going back and forth a few times to do adjustments to make sure it fit to my liking. She also offered to replace the nose pads and do a deep cleaning of the lens and frame since there was a bit of oxidization and wear/tear. She helped save my glasses and they definitely feel like new now - I cannot express how thankful I am for such good customer service and is a reason why I appreciate QUAY as a brand ever since I got my glasses from them a few years back.

Whether it be regular eye exams to check the health of my eyes, receiving an Rx for glasses, getting "fitted" for contact lenses, or even getting examined for Lasik and ICL / IOL surgery. After a terrible experience with an optometrist at Sears (yeah, what was I thinking?) I got referred to Concord Optometry by my brother. I ended up seeing and working with Dr. Doherty. Of all the MANY professionals I've used over the past almost 40 years, Dr. Doherty was by far (not just by a small margin) more professional, experienced, and personable. He took the time to hear my (many MANY questions) and he answered them in clear / detailed ways where other professionals were impatient and/or struggled in communicating. With each of my visits I felt heard, understood, cared-for, and came away very comfortable and confident with the information and service I received. ... I actually ENJOYED the process of going to the eye Dr. What's up with that!?!? It is clear to see (see what I did there?) that Dr. Doherty is not only amazingly skilled and experienced at his job, but loves what he does... and that is conveyed perfectly to me... an incredibly satisfied (expectations-exceeded) customer and patient.

DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE! This is the store on the lower level near JC Penny. I should have walked out of the store as the girl who was there on 5/29 at 3:00 PM acted like she was doing me the biggest favor by helping me find the right fit. Her attitude was awful! I tried them in my car for one week. When they were not on my face, they went right back into their box. I never once took them out of the car. After one week, I decided to return them as they gave me a headache. In the store, the same exact girl took the glasses, went off the the side and held them up to the light. Then she got the other employee, who was also horribly rude, to hold them up to the light. Then she took them into the back of the store. This went on for over 5 minutes. She finally returned, handed them back to me and said they were damaged and could not be returned. I asked her where they were damaged. She pointed to the corner of the lens and across the other one and said there were scratches. I held them up and said there were no scratches. They were in pristine condition. She said there were definitely scratches and again I said there was nothing there no matter how I looked at them. She shrugged and said she would not take them back. She offered a 50% discount on another pair. So, I would have already paid for the pair I had plus would have to pay for half of another pair. I left very angry and called Customer Service. They said this did not comply with their policy, called the store and even they were told by the same rude girl that the glasses could not be returned. Then I had to fill out an online form, with a generic response the next day saying they would contact me. I decided to try to return them to the Walnut Creek store. I was greeted by Gary at this store, and he was so nice and accommodating, and he returned these glasses with no problem and no attitude. So if you live in Contra Costa County, avoid the Sun Valley store at all cost and shop at the Walnut Creek store, where you will be treated decently. The girls at the Sun Valley store need to be fired!!!!

I was in need of a professional wardrobe after working from home the last few years. I set up an appointment with a stylist online and she called to ask what I was looking for, my sizes, color preferences etc. I was very specific- I needed an interview suit for my conservative industry, as well as day to day office pieces and shoes. I also said I was open to jewelry (costume - Nordstrom is one of the best stores for costume jewelry that is still high quality IMO). We set an appt and I cane in and she had reserved a large fitting room and had it filled with suits and separates. Everything in row sizes (I'm a 4 or a 6 based on the designer). Nice job of bringing in both high end and more reasonable prices. No shoes, no jewelry, no outfit suggestions. That was the "style" part I really wanted. Basically for a free service it's a nice time saver to have clothes pulled and ready for you to try on. But that's it. I was prepared to spend a lot of money because I hadn't shopped much in a long time and I ended up with a single suit, a blouse, and a random t shirt I later texted the same stylist to ask if she could pull some options for an upcoming wedding I had to go to. Never heard back.
