Usually I don't leave bad reviews but the employees at this store just frustrated me so much that I felt like sharing my experience! First, what's up with the attitude. Every customer has the right to ask questions and know more about the product. It's a sales persons job to educate them without making them feel uncomfortable or as if the customer caused inconvenience for them! Especially when they are the only customer in the store. I walked in asking for my information stored on their system "can you please let me know the eyesight number and pd"... their responce.. I am sorry, I can't give you that information! Why not.. it's my information stored on your computer. Ideally I can ask that to be deleted ! They were being so rude about it! I just had to stop by here to leave a gleaming review for Dylan! A while ago the left arm of my prescription RB5383s fell off and I was absolutely heartbroken. I *love* these glasses and didn't know how to fix them. I stopped by the Ray Ban store in Broadway Plaza and was greeted by the friendly, super helpful employee named Dylan. He was able to get my glasses back together and I could not be more grateful! Dylan is the epitome of a fantastic employee and I fully believe he deserves some recognition for his efforts. Rude manager, throws a fit saying he doesn't deserve to be treated this way and explains to me how they cannot just simply replace broken meta glasses. I was calmly explaining to them I do not appreciate being told it is my fault that the product I bought 10 mins ago isn't working (meta glasses). I basically received broken meta glasses that were bricked from the beginning, they spent 15 minutes assuming I didn't follow the instructions, when for the 10th time the staff member implied I did something wrong "they didn't put it in the box when updating", when that wasn't even true, they were just convinced it was true. That's when I realized they prefer to defend their product over just getting me a new pair. I'm also unsure if you are so convinced it's going to fix itself, why you have me wait 15 minutes while u press the same button on my phone over and over. Absolutely ridiculously bad customer service. I was going to leave with a refund, by my wife jumped in and asked if they could just replace it. Never coming back, you offered me nothing over buying it from amazon, except wasting my time and blaming me for a broken product. read more

Horrible service and awful attitudes from the manager and staff! I received a set of Stories as a gift for Christmas and wanted to exchange them for a larger size. Simple enough, the Ray Ban website says I can bring them to a company store. It turns out they don't do straight up exchanges. They will do returns back the original card, which is inconvenient if you received a gift. HOWEVER- they won't do returns for purchases specifically of Stories via Ray-Ban.com. Both the website and the CSR I spoke with confirmed that you can return any website purchase to retail store. It's not that hard. If you have the item in stock (they did), do the swap and figure out the paperwork after I leave. It's called good customer service. I agree with the other reviewer, this place IS run by muppets. That may actually be a complement based on my experience. They didn't even try to accommodate my request. I wasn't sure if it was ineptitude, laziness or some twisted pleasure of using their power as a sunglass gatekeeper to annoy people. I will admit that the experience agitated me and was that irate customer I hate so much. It takes a lot to turn me into a customer Hulk, but throwing your hands up without even trying is one sure way to get me there. read more

Very upset we finally resorted to calling the San Francisco store. A guy named Armani was very helpful. Luck would have it, if we waited one day Armani was going to cover a shift at the Walnut Creek location. Armani went the extra mile, did loads of leg work to make sure we located and received a comfortable and fitting pair of glasses. Armani saved the day (5 star only because of Armani. This is the worst staff ever. I two day ago purchased a pair of ray bans from their store to complete an outfit for an upcoming wedding. Today I decide to change the outfit meaning I no longer have a need for these shades. I got back to store after never opening the shades and the staff tell me they can't return them due to a scratch under the ray bans logo (photo is attached). Being annoyed I'm doing everything I can to reach out to management by calling help desk and reaching to managers of near by stores. After nearly 9 mins of waiting around keep in mind on of the store reps left to go into the back for a 15 "minute break" whilst I was on the phone she returns with security. At that time I decided to leave due to being made unwelcome. I did question question the store rep on why she needed to call security as I was not being violate or threatening anyone, to which she states she called him so her and him can talk and chat stating security was not there for me. I failed to mention that security walked in asking what was the issue he was being called for. The whole situation reeks of we didn't want to help you so we call security to deal with the angry black man. read more

I first came here a year ago and had a horrible experience. So I decided to come here this year and the ladies working today around 2pm were absolutely the sweetest. I wish I had remembered the ladies name who helped me but she recommended me multiple pairs of glasses that would frame my face well, she wasn't pushy at all and was patient as I tried on many, many pair. She even complimented my anime shirt so that was an easy way to connect, I don't usually like talking to sales associates but this was a great experience overall Now I'll be flying down to Cancun in some awesome Raybans. I like to find the good in every situation but unfortunately I couldn't find it at this store. I came in knowing the glasses I wanted weren't going to be there because I checked online, but I thought I'd take a look since I was in the area. It was a Friday afternoon and the store was active. I wasn't greeted, and to make it worse, the employees looked right at me. I mean, do I look suspicious? Do I look like I don't belong there? Or is it you? Maybe you hate your job, having a bad day or just deep in thought. Whatever it was, it wasn't a good look. Once I started trying on all the sunglasses ( conspicuously getting their attention), I was finally approached. She asked if there was a certain model I was looking for, I said yes and told her I believe it's discontinued as I've checked online already, she googled the model number and said, "it's still available " and tried to show me her screen. I asked her if that was the same one because I noticed the number is different. She tried to convince me it's the same one but to her surprising I can tell the difference between two numbers. read more

Normally I don't do reviews for stores but the customer service here was just amazing. The employees were super attentive and they were very nice. When I first walked in I thought they were just following us around to push their products but they were genuinely interested in finding us a nice pair of sunglasses. I'm not used to such nice customer service when shopping! They found us a perfect pair of glasses and were more than happy to adjust the frames for us. This place is owned and run by muppets. I came in the other day and said I wanted X pair of shades, do you have them. I proceeded to watch dumb and dumber fumble around for 20 mins to find a pair. Then watch them take another 20 mins to process the transaction. I am not ashamed to have asked them for a discount after the comedy of errors I witnessed. Their response was we don't know how. Similar post below they were grumpy and said I don't even work here. We work for the sun glasses but in Macy's. Anyway I came back to return the shades because I found my old pair. They closed early on 9/2 with a sign that said be back soon. I show up the next day and they open 20 mins later than the posted hours. I echo everyone's review that the customer service at this location really stands out. I got a pair of Ray Bans as gifts from my girlfriends and wanted to try see if I could exchange for a different style. Mike was working at the time and he initially said online orders typically cannot be exchanged in store, but after examining my glasses and reviewing my order receipt he said he could make an exception and exchange it. He also gave me feedback on the different frame and lens styles and sizes. Super disappointing experience... not once but THREE times. Unfortunately, I could not escape a particular employee by the name of Angelique each time I went in. Angelique was condescending, rude and even after making several mistakes continued to provide terrible customer service. She rung me up for the wrong item (which presented a problem when I went to return the item until I reminded her it was her that rang me up and therefore the mistake was clearly her wrongdoing), gave me wrong information in regards to inventory and had an all around bad attitude. I expected more out of a location in Walnut Creek. I really hope this place pulls it together and hires friendlier people because I love Ray Bans... until then I will stick to making online purchases. read more

I drove out here to exchange a pair of sunglasses that were a gift last week as the frames broke 3 days after I got them. I called prior to coming out and was told they could do an exchange. However upon arrival at the store was told it was clear I dropped them so there was no warranty. Pretty surprised that a pair of expensive sunglasses would break in the first week and the store would have no options. They recommended sending them back via the Ecom website and maybe something would happen. We drove out here to RayBan because the glasses were purchased at a RayBan store in Palo Alto. Not online.
