Made an appointment well in advance. Drove 2.5 hours for it. The lights were off, and nobody was there. All the furniture and office equipment were still there. Nobody answered the phone, and the voicemail was full. I tried calling again several days later, but still no answer. Based on other reviews, it seems this business is now closed/defunct. What a shame. Kelvin was great. Edit: Kelvin reached out to me and was very apologetic and eager to make amends. Apparently, he doesn't have staff anymore, it's just him, and he has a new phone number, which is on his website. He's still open for business. Updated my rating from 1 to 4 stars to reflect the overall great service I've gotten. If I still lived in the area, I would continue to use him. read more

This is very concerning. I, and my family, have been patients of Dr. Tang for over a decade. We have been very pleased with his professionalism and how personable he is. We have referred him to many friends. I had my annual appointment in January of this year. Upon trying to contact the office recently we were shocked to find the office has closed (per Yelp reviews). The voicemail is full and there is no response to email. I am very concerned. This is not like Dr. Tang, He would have let his patients know he was going out of business or how to obtain records. I have been wrestling with a prescription that I got from Kaiser in Feb. 2024. 1 eye has an astigmatism. The other doesn't. Throw in some medical considerations too. They gave me a "monovision" correction with the idea being - my brain would have to reconcile it out and I'd be able to see clearly with just the contacts. This did not work. I would hope that Kaiser would look into my chart and see the challenges on WHY this wasn't going to work for me. I went back to Kaiser and they tried to set me up with something else..but it was just a change in the prescription to the left eye. I was tired, slightly nauseated, I could feel my brain straining to reconcile the 2 different kinds of lenses and i could only wear them for 4-6 hours before I was exhausted. I realized that I had a VSP Benefit and my daughter recommended Blink to me after her experience. I felt like I had nothing to lose, and everything to gain with a second opinion. I have to say..I had an exam that lasted longer than ANY appointment I've ever had at Kaiser. The exam with the giant monster eye glasses that they ask 1 or 2? 2 or 3? 3 or 4? Dr. Tang took the time to listen to me, my activities, my health status...and he essentially simplified the way my eyes were being corrected. Now..I have a distance correction because as it turns out, my astigmatism is so slight that it might even go away (my right eye astigmatism is gone) I can use these contacts for driving and being outside. I had not seen that clear in 10months. And..that inner brain "flex"..where it was trying to figure out which eye was dominant? That wasn't happening anymore. To see up close, I just put on a set of $10 readers as the up close correction is tiny compared to the distance. I literally wore those contacts for 8 hours - no headache at all, no nausea. The next day at work, i just put on a pair of readers to see the monitor..and would take them off when I'd walk around. EASY PEASY. I almost bought a frame from them also to get a nicer pair of readers, but was advised that the benefit could be better used to pay for the daily wear contacts..so that's what I'm going to do. I really left here feeling like those things that were making daily living difficult were finally being heard. I was given an option that was simple. Monovision didn't work for me as it was not only exhausting me, I was also losing depth perception. VERY grateful for Dr. Tang and the nice, welcoming team at their office. read more

Not for me. The reviews had me fooled but this place is a joke. The doctor is kind, but the efficiency of the office is trash. I've never been to the optometrist and had to ask for frames. My son had a relatively urgent need to see an optometrist, and Kelvin graciously found a way to see us right away. His evaluation of my son was incredibly thorough, and he explained everything at a level that both my son and I could easily understand. I can tell that he genuinely cares about his patients. i requested a consult for an eye irritation that i was suffering from on a saturday morning and within 30min, Dr. Tang responded, diagnosed me, and gave me treatment recommendation and i was healed in 2 days! He was following up on his days off and genuinely seemed to care! i wish all doctors could be as compassionate as Dr. Tang! Dr. Tang is my sons eye Doctor. I decided to visit him due to the fact that Kaiser's insurance that I currently have does not cover routine eye exams. I happen to have VSP also and Blink accepts VSP. Well Im kicking myself for not having seen Dr. Tang years ago. His clinic is spotless. He is very very professional. He is very caring and so is his staff. Very friendly assistants that actually want to assist you. The bad part for you might be that he's booked wayyyyyy in advance. If you are lucky and get a spot you wont be disappointed. When I first visited him last year he answered my many many questions about LASIK. I also got to know him on a personal level and his adorable family. Great guy all around. This year for my follow up appointment they called me to inform me of an earlier appointment than the time I scheduled. I was actually able to make the earlier appointment however I had my 2 month old daughter with me. He and his staff were very patient with us as she was becoming fussy. It was around her feeding time so one of his staff members helped feed my daughter while I continued with my exam! Came across Blink optometrist during a little hard contact lenses emergency. My brother lost his eye contact plunger and can not take out the hard contacts without the plunger. I was calling around Walgreen, Walmart, CVS and Target for plungers but no where had them in stock. So then I went calling optometry offices in the neighborhood. Dr Tang is so extremely patient and helpful. He knew exactly what I was talking about and said I could come into the office anytime to pick up a contact lenses plunger. I just finished my first visit with Dr. Tang and OH MY GOSH HE IS AMAZING! I had such a wonderful visit that I couldn't wait to leave a review. I literally just left his office and I'm sitting in my car to write this. Starting with the receptionist, she was such a sweetheart - very patient with me from scheduling, getting insurance info, guiding me to their location, checking in, and checking out. Then there's Dr. Tang, who I swear, is like a ray of sunlight. He made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. He definitely took his time and was VERY INFORMATIVE about everything he was doing and what he recommended. He offered contact samples and made sure I knew that it would be no problem if I needed to change it if it became uncomfortable. He even offered a printout of my prescriptions which I thought was super nice because it showed me that he didn't wanna try to upsell me by purchasing from his office (but I'll most likely end up doing so eventually). The 5 stars this office is receiving definitely deserves it! He really takes his time and schedules each appointment in such a timely manner to ensure he's not rushing through and patients aren't waiting for millions of hours. I think my appointment was booked for an hour. Definitely recommend!! But if you do plan to see him, schedule in advance. He gets filled pretty quickly and it's obvious as to why. Dr. Tang explains everything as he does it which is just awesome and very reassuring. He even wipes down all the equipment in front of you to make sure you see him to do it which reassures me that everything is done correctly and clean.
