The worst customer service. Went in to return an unworn pair of sunglasses purchased at another Sunglasss Hut. The women that helped us "claimed" the glasses were scratched. When I asked to see the scratches, I used her cloth and softly wiped them clean and saw no scratches and neither did her other associate. The women insisted there was a scratch and there was nothing. She was rude, unprofessional and mean. I am sure she gets some monetary deduction and just wouldn't help. My last visit to that store!!! read more

Don't buy ray ban meta glasses! If there is an issue with them they will have you return it but they won't ever send your money back. They will have you calling them and they will tell you they will send out a check to your home and it will arrive in up to 10 weeks. The check will never come and you will have to call again and they will keep telling you the same thing until you eventually just give up. Also when you call they will keep putting you on hold back to back to back and saying they are checking into it. read more

Went in today around 5pm to purchase a pair of Tom Ford Mens sunglasses that we had seen during a prior visit. A gentleman working said hello when we walked in but that was the extent of customer service. As we were browsing through the Tom Ford collection, not one associate came to help, ask if we needed assistance. As we decided to leave, another couple came in and they were assisted right away, asked what they were looking for, etc. Mind you, prior to this couple walking in, my husband and I were the only ones in the store. It was truly disappointing. This was the 2nd time at this particular store location, but we have always had amazing service at other Sunglass hut stores. After many phone calls and visits to the store, I was finally able to get my refund thanks to Mila. I came into the store to see if there was anything that could be done and although the associates there weren't able to do what I needed, Mila (one of the associates) was very determined to help me get my money back. She went above and beyond to help me and I was extremely lucky to run into her. That being said, I don't have a particular problem with this location but rather with sunglass hut as a whole. Customer Service is not seamless so when problems arise, it's hard to find the right person to help. Would not recommend placing orders in store because their system is very particular and difficult to troubleshoot -- their in-store orders are not integrated into their online orders' system so the online customer service cannot help you even though the receipt tells you to contact those people for assistance. There was this girl Mira that I spoke to on the phone that could definitely use some over the phone advice. Sally & Gary are AMAZING!!! I purchased a pair of Ray Bans from the Sunglass Hut in Concord and within about 6 months one of the screws had fallen out leaving the sunglasses unwearable. I went to the store and explained what had happened and asked if they could repair the sunglasses. After being given a little bit of a difficult time, they reluctantly fixed them. However the color of the screw they had was gold and didn't match my sunglasses or the other screw. When I was upset about not being able to put the right color screw in they referred me to other glasses/sunglasses stores in the mall...WHAT?!?? I bought them here. I decided to leave with the gold screw but was a very unhappy customer. A few months after the repair the screw fell out again...ugh... My daughter and I were shopping downtown Walnut Creek and decided to stop into the Sunglass hut there to ask about repairing, this time with the right screw. Upon speaking to Sally and exposing my previous experience in Concord, she grabbed a new pair of sunglasses and handed them to me...no fuss no muss...now that's customer service!! Fast forward another 6 months and I lost the sunglasses. Upset and wanting to replace them because I loved them so much, I returned to Walnut Creek where both Sally and Gary helped me. The store no longer carried the sunglasses for purchase but was able to find them online...I was so grateful!!! I purchased and they were sent directly to my house. 2 months or less from purchasing I accidentally scratched the lenses...so where did I go...to see Sally & Gary...my trusted Sunglass advisors. Under the 90 guarantee, Gary quickly hopped online...ordered them again and all I had to pay was the difference in price from the previous purchase of $3.26....WHAT?!?!? Seriously so so so happy, I'll be receiving them by Wednesday!!! If you are looking for sunglasses, I would highly recommend seeing Gary or Sally in Walnut Creek. Went in last week to buy a new pair of sunglasses and had to endure an over-eager saleswoman who told me why every single pair of glasses I pulled off the shelf was wrong for me. Eventually she agreed to let me buy a pair I liked, (she didn't), and when we got to the register she asked for my home address and email. I informed her that she did not need those things in order to sell me a pair of sunglasses. She then argued about warranties and the importance of Sunglass Hut having my personal contact information, none of which I was willing to give her. I walked out. Note for the staff at Sunglass Hut: You are not optometrists, nor are you selling diamonds. You're selling sunglasses, for Pete's sake. Get over yourselves. I'm sure some customers want to hear every opinion you have about decorative eyewear specifics and styles. I was not one of them. I just wanted to buy a pair of sunglasses. Note for retailers in general: You need to decide if you are in business to sell products, or to collect consumers' home addresses and phone numbers. If the former is true, then here's a tip. When you have a customer in front of you who has whipped out his wallet to buy your product but then balks when you insist on knowing where he lives, perhaps you should stop arguing and just sell him the frickin' sunglasses. read more

Hello. I hate to even feel compelled to write this but I just had a horrible experience. And I have loved this Sunglass hut! Especially the manager I think she is blond and short and wonderful. Anyway, I walk up to the store after driving an hour from SF to get my glasses tightened that I literally can't wear because they have become so loose they fall the moment they are on my ears. I was simply wanting them adjusted as I bought them back in February of this year from this exact hut. I walk up. There is a sign that says "system down." Totally understandable, but thankfully I just need them to whip out their little screwdriver. The woman looks as though she does not even want to let me in due to this system problem, but finally decides to, tells me she has been on hold for 2 hours and cannot help me. I understand it's a pandemic. I understand how long customer calls can take. But as I have done many times, when you are on a 2 hour hold, it is usually expected that one may need to use the restroom, which likely takes about as long or maybe longer, than assisting your paying and loyal customer of many years with a simple screwdriver. If your system is down and it's not your fault, she could have had the consideration to ask them to wait 2 min while she tightened the 2 screws. All of my other experiences have been wonderful. I came in to this shop on my way home from work. I was dirty, in construction attire and I'm sure looking very out of place. (I later went out to a bite in Walnut Creek and the restaurant manager assumed I was there to make repairs and not have dinner). I purchased a pair of sunglasses here and returned to get them fixed (still under warranty). The manager was too scared to help me order and install new lens's, apparently she has broken a number of glasses in the past doing this and told me to call Luxottica instead. Luxottica has a online form with no direct human contact and I have to wait a minimum of a week to hear back if they will be able to help me get new lens's. Poor customer service and now I have to wait multiple weeks for a fix that could have been done in store. Go across the street to Nordstrom's instead, you will get great customer service. read more

I dropped a pair of sunglasses at work, breaking the frame holding the lens in. So I went in to the store hoping they could help, but expecting to be told of a place to go get them repaired. But without hesitation, a nice blonde lady, who I assume was the manager at the time, offered to fix them in store right away. She spent some time finding the right screws and really putting in the effort needed on glasses I hadn't even bought there. When she was finished, I asked how much I owed and she said nothing.
