They went completely out of their way to honor a damage policy on sunglasses that I didn't even know I qualified for. This lady runs the shop, and before I was even a customer here I told her I had damaged sunglasses, and she said if I brought them in she would see if she could fix them- that was before any "we have new sunglasses right here" kind of vibe. I recently bought some men's sunglasses as a gift. I've always liked how they display their glasses. They're all in order of the styles you're looking for. It really helps to narrow down your choices. The pair I chose had a very small scratch on them. The employee was so accommodating and immediately went and check to make sure she had a new pair for me to buy. She was so helpful and sweet. I've usually gone out to the Sunglass Hut in the Stoneridge Mall but now that I've found this great location I will only be coming back. read more

Went in to try and get a screw for my wife's coach sunglasses and was helped by Rebecca. She replaced the part for no charge and cleaned the lenses as well, which was a nice surprise! She was very friendly and able to answer my other questions involving my own pair of raybans I purchased at another Sunglass Hut. Nick is incredible. I bought a pair of sunglasses at a different location and had a terrible adjustment on the sunnies. I went to this location and Nick not only fixed the terrible bend in my glasses, but also made them fit PERFECTLY. Now they are comfortable, secure, and look like they were made for me. He also cleaned up the lenses beautifully and handled my glasses with care. If you need your glasses fit, ask for Nick. He is a wizard! read more

Really impressed with the service I have received from here. I have some really expensive Ray Ban sunglasses that I do my best to take care of, but every now and then a little screw might become loose or fall out ( probably due to me getting the glasses stuck in my hair trying to pull them out..yes, guilty ) so being this was the closest Sunglass Hut to me that I was aware of until recently, this is where I have been taking the bans in when they are in need of a little repair. I have to say, I absolutely hate the Sun Valley mall, but coming here has made the experience more manageable. Both times I have come in here to get them fixed, the service has been absolutely top notch - both staff members I have encountered, have been both friendly and extremely helpful - even gives me some tips on taking care of sunglasses...better care :) and it never cost's me a thing :) May just continue to come here for my sunglasses needs :) read more

I went in with very simple questions. What's the difference between Oakley prizm golf lenses and Oakley prizm trail lenses? After some discussion the sales rep asked me to look up the differences myself. I then asked how are these lenses compared to Maui Jim's, his answer was I don't know. I have shopped in this particular store many times and have never had the bad experiences others describe. Now...I usually tell them when I am fooling around versus really shopping and that may help. It.s also true that I'm older and look more like someone who may buy something. Anyways...the people I have met working here have always been thoughtful and professional. They have not minded that I tried on about 8000 pairs before buying. They've also adjusted my sunglasses I bought elsewhere. The prices are the same as what you find in other stores. You can buy online but you run the chance they are not really the brand you thought or actually polarized. read more

This review pertains to the Sunglass Hut on the Lower Level near JC Penney--there is another one on the upper level. I live in Lafayette and this is the closest place. I love this place and my kid shops there as well. I have bought Ray-Bans there twice and gotten great service each time. Most recently Constance was prompt, efficient and friendly. I plan to return in a year for another pair of Shades when my budget allows. I'm thinking mirrored Bans or Prada next time. Great service, great choice of sunglasses, mission accomplished. read more

I went to the store recently at the Macys's Sun Valley Mall and was looking forward too buying at least two pair of Sunglasses as I usually do and the two Mid-Eastern and white woman had other intentions socially say from work besides selling sunglasses. The customer service was so poor with the workers to where I recommend people too buy at Nordstrom's where the customer service and quality of product is even better. read more

I had been birthday shopping to Macy's and noticed a Sunglass hut shop at the lowest level (level L) of the same building. There was good selection from Guess, Ralph Lauren, Micheal Kors, RayBan etc.There was a young lady at the counter who was super friendly. She helped me pick out a pair of RayBan coolers. She patiently handed over a few pairs from different brands to help me decide which looked best on me. Even after I purchased it she spent a good amount of time polishing the glasses with cleaning solution and gave it to me in immaculate condition. I was surprised that such a small shop could leave such a good impression on me. read more

Natasha is a girl working at a Sun Valley Mall Sunglass Hut (the biggest one on the bottom floor). Overall, the manager for the store-he was wearing a black glasses and very nice and professional- was kind, and I liked his service. However, Natasha was not professional, argumentative and unkind. I and my friend were shopping for sunglasses, and I saw her coming into the store with a sad and angry face. We had no idea why the salesperson had a such face in front of customers even though the store was not busy at all. Natasha was giving a look to me and my friend almost as she wanted us to leave. I eventually ended up buying two pairs from the male manager and had no problem with his perfect customer service. He even allowed my friend to hold two pairs to come back and get it later. When we were done with shopping for other stuff, my friend came back for the two pairs, and Natasha was only girl working in the store. As we walked in, she was not even greeting at us but staring at the two customers. We decided not to care about the pathetic face, but she started getting unkind and unprofessional. For example, she would say to customer in such a mean manner with short answers. When I asked her for a new case and tried to help her where it was located, she said " I know". When we were asking questions, she even pretended she didn't hear. Natasha was not smiling and had no interaction with customers. We did not even act like her in return, but we stayed calm. Eventually, my friend decided to talk to her to be nice to next customers in a nice way, she became argumentative and almost ready to yell at customers who finished purchasing four pairs of sunglasses. I felt bad for this girl not having a happy life and not giving delightfulness to people. She will be happier if she fixes her rude attitude and unprofessional service. If you go to this mall you will see this girl with long dirty blondish brown hair, short and high arched brown eyebrows. Just order online...this store in particular seems to have less trained people and their lack of knowledge means it is easy to get ripped off. Just bought a pair of sunglasses and the guy promised me free next day delivery...I didn't want the beat up display pair that was the only one in stock. Nope, no next day delivery. It's coming in a little over a week. I bought these as a present, so thanks, sunglass hut, for making me look like I was too cheap/lazy to pay $10 for expedited shipping. I have shopped in many sunglass guys and the service is usually pretty good but this sunglass the manager working was horrible! I had to return a pair of sunglasses I got 3 days ago and he have me such a hard time! He was rude and barely said one word to me. I apologized that I was returning them and he just rolled his eyes and then when I said thank you he did not respond he just walked away from the cash wrap. He was an older man with glasses... Looked like the manager. I work in retail and we all know we hate getting returns but it's called customer service. Maybe it's time he finds another job? If I could give ZERO stars I would. The two women working at this location are very incompetent. I own a pair of Polarized RayBans that were prescribed by my doctor and I came into this store to look at getting a second pair. As soon as I walked in I walked towards the two women at the register till but instead of greeting me and inquiring about what brought me into the store, I was looked up and down and they continued on with their conversation. Fine, I'll look without their help. When I started looking at the store's collection of polarized sunglasses and picked up a pair that's when I noticed the two rude women were stereotyping me like I was going to steal. But don't worry, they kept on with their conversation and still had yet to even speak a single word to me. I work in sales myself and I know what customer service is. If you want a great pair of sunglasses that protect your eyes from sun & glare I recommend polarized but stay away from this store. The staff is rude, incompetent and unwilling to help. Trust I'm going to send a formal complaint to someone higher up than anyone who works at this location. read more

Avoid this store like the plague. They have a habit of selling glasses that are already messed up from the display case in hopes that you won't notice. When I went back before the 90 day exchange period expired, I was given a pair to replace mine from a nice lady in the upstairs store, because I had a "nick" on the lens of my original pair, but their replacement glasses that she gave me also had scratches, so I said no that I want a brand new pair, not a pair handled by a hundred people, she made a call and sent me downstairs to see Scott. Oh! what a piece of work this guy is, rude from the moment I stepped into the store. My son and I walked in and I introduced myself and I said that I was referred from the lady upstairs. I told him about the scratch and he looked at my glasses and said what scratch, oh! you mean this one? I said yes, and he then basically said that I scratched them, he stated that he will exchange them this one time but does not typically do it when customers damage the glasses, I asked him what he was implying and he said he was not implying anything, and he said in "car salesman" fashion that when he sells a pair of glasses, he hands them to the customer to have them look at them, I said "you did not sell these to me" I told him that hundreds of people handle these glasses and it is easy to miss a defect in the excitement of a purchase. This guy is a jerk, he even had to "look" for the scratch, also the pair the lady upstairs try to give me had scratches, if I never told him where the "nick" was he would not have noticed either. The nerve that this jerk had, automatically blaming the customer. Who spent almost $300.00 Scott Mann! Take some customer service classes! read more

Horrible customer service at this location. I made the mistake of buying a new pair for Ray Ban's Chromance sunglasses when I traveled to Florida. I bought from Sunglass Hut because I've bought all of my sunglasses there for as far back as I can remember (at least 10 years or more) and they have usually provided great customer care. However, these Ray Ban's broke after three days from what the employee Francisco even admitted appeared to be a defect. The nose piece on the right side broke off when I was making an adjustment for better fit. Even though Francisco stated that it definitely looked like a defect, he would not return or exchange them. Instead, he offered me 50% off another pair. Fransisco informed me that he wasn't allowed to return broken merchandise even if it appeared to be defective. When I asked to speak to his manager Rebekah, he stated she was on vacation and the asst. manager never answers his phone. This "kid" is stuck in the store with zero direction on how to help customers when they have actual issues. Ray Ban's site specifies to bring back to your retail location when you purchase from a reseller, however, all I got from Sunglass Hut was "sorry, I can't help you. You'll have to send them back to Ray Ban". I don't fault Fransisco for this inept customer service, but I do fault Sunglass Hut's management. Not surprising, they have failed to return any calls or emails regarding this issue. I have done a good amount of business at Sunglass Hut but that will stop from this experience forward. read more
