I've been going to Foresight Optometry for a few years with no problem. My last visit was a disaster. I had an exam and ordered new sunglasses and new lenses for my current frames. As soon as I put the new glasses on I could tell something was wrong. I was told to try them at home for a while to see if I could get used to them. After a week I returned both pair. I got a quick exam and changes were made to the prescription. New lenses were ordered. Again, I could tell something was wrong as soon as I put the glasses on. Again, I was told to wear them at home to see if I could get used to them. I could not. I went back to Foresight to have the prescription checked and was essentially told adjustments to the prescription had been made and they are correct. I was beyond frustrated having spent $1,600 for 2 pair of glasses I cannot use. I went to another optometrist who pinpointed the problem and fixed the prescription. I ended up paying another $1,600 for glasses with the correct prescription. read more

I used to love this place, but I don't like a place that doesn't respect the customer's wishes. The last time I went in a few years ago I was having financial issues (my dog had gotten sick and ate up all of my savings). I didn't get a few of the add on for the exam because of this, and when I went to buy my glasses I picked up the least expensive frames and went to order the glasses. I told the person helping me that I only wanted the basics, that I was broke, so anything like anti reflection, etc was not going to happen. She proceeded to add ALL of them and then wanted to go through one by one... I just took my prescription and walked out. I don't know what part of "I have no money, only the basics" she didn't understand, but I went to Kaiser and got my glasses. read more

Brought in prescription sunglasses with scratched lenses that were still within warranty (I didn't realize they had a two year warranty) and was still given fairly pricey quote for lens replacement. Brought them in a few months later after the lenses were scratched more and was told the warranty expired one month prior and there was no discount on lens replacement, which should have been for a minimal cost or free while under warranty. Told them that I had brought in the glasses before and that they neglected to inform me of the warranty but they didn't care. Overall found the staff to be increasingly unpleasant as compared to a few years ago. They also charge more for everything as compared to my new optometrist -- more for retinal imaging, more for prescription frames and lenses, all with a sleazy sales attitude and mediocre technical knowledge. read more

I read reviews and everything seemed positive, so I gave it a shot. I am so glad I did! Wonderful staff and very thorough doctors! I met Dr. Joy when I had my lasik surgery. she was awesome at that office, but this optometry place is the best. I dealt with her after my lasik, and they she was very nice. Bought some expensive eyewear, but got a discount cuz paying cash. Nice selection of glasses. Forward a month, (today) I got something in my eye. Dr. John (her husband) seen me right away . he numbed my eye, checked it out and then protected my eye with a contact lense. The office is clean. The staff is friendly. Best place to GO!! read more

Foresight Optometry has courteous phone receptionists and good verbal and electronic communication by its staff members. I appreciate that this office provides the option for digital scanning of the eye for developing a chronological baseline for assessing future changes to eye health. I also appreciate that this practice accepts VSP vision insurance. While the initial eye exam that I had performed on me by the young lady was acceptable, the follow-up exam that was conducted by Dr. Michelson was both more thorough and more accurate in determining my eyeglass prescription. Unfortunately--despite several attempts--Foresight Optometry simply was unable to get the final prescription for my eyeglasses correct. Perhaps my age (62 years at the time) was beyond the scope of the experience that had been acquired by this young optometry team. In any case--while I have no problem recommending this practice to younger patients who have not incurred significant vision impairment--I would recommend that individuals over 55 years old or those with considerable vision impairment seek the services of a more experienced optometry practice. Thankfully--I was able to locate such a team of experienced professionals less than ten minutes from Foresight Optometry--and I was able to get the incorrect lens prescription made by Foresight Optometry remedied in only one visit! There simply is no substitute for experience when it comes to monitoring, protecting, and maintaining good vision. read more

Too much hard selling of expensive glasses here. It's absurd how many times you have to say no to add-ons. Like another yelper said, I feel like I'm dealing with a used car salesman. Get your exam here, then walk out the door with your prescription. Don't buy glasses here, they will absolutely try to get as much money out of you as they can. Done. read more

This visit literally changed my life! These eye doctors really care about their patients! I went in for a regular exam and Dr. John casually asked if I ever thought about getting lasik. My prescription was bad! It was like negative 6! And as a glasses wearer my whole life I've always thought about it, but surgery!? Eek! Kinda scary! Lol. He took his time explaining the process to me and and even ran some extra test that helped prove I was a good candidate. I am extremely satisfied with the service that I received here today! Everyone was very nice and they made it so easy for me to make my decision on frames, which usually takes me hours. Highlights: 1. Staff so nice, I felt comfortable and taken care of the whole time. 2. They still take VSP! (Many of the usual retailers are out of network as of june 2019) 3. I told the associate that I did not want to pay out of pocket for frames. She simply asked a few questions about what I liked and didn't like, sat me at a table, and in minutes I had 20 glasses that were all within my taste and cheap enough that my insurance completely covered the frames. She then very kindly busied herself in the back for a short while so I could comfortably try on the frames without the "hovering" feeling you get some places. Perfect balance of attentiveness and space! 4. You may need an appt ( even if you're just shopping and already have your RX, but now seeing how well they treat their customers and how much they do for you, I totally understand why. When I have called they usually have something open that day. 5. All you need is your name, birthday and the last four of your social, they will take care of the rest! First, I bought prescription sunglasses there, having just moved to the area I was not a patient, just there for glasses. They were very nice and let me whine as I was big, pregnant and grouchy at the time. Well, when my glasses came in and I went to get them they had baby gifts for me! How sweet eh? Several months later I was having an eye issue and went to see the Dr here since I had such a good experience there before. I had my eye exam here 2 weeks ago. I walked in and felt instantly comfortable. Every was so nice and seemed to love their jobs! A patient walked in a few minutes after me and they knew her by name. They seem to really care about their patients. During my eye exam everything was explained to me and they went into detail about what they were doing and why. When it came time to order my glasses, Marcello and I picked some frames. I had a very small budget and told him so. He didn't try to sell me something more expensive. I used to liked this place when Dr H was still here. When she was there, she make sure everything will be taking care of. I have my annual eye exam & contact lense fitting on July 26th & cost me $438.00. According to the staff, they will send the claim to my insurance for reimbursement. I even give them the form to send to my insurance. I called my insurance twice. No insurance claim was file. I call their office few times but they're telling me that they file the claim to my insurance. As of now, nothing was file to my insurance. I call them yesterday & today to fax me the form so that I can file it myself. I still haven't receive anything. I guess two months of waiting to file the claim is not good enough for them... If it's not important to them, well is very important to me.. They want me to pay them on the same day service but they can't help me to file my insurance claim!!! read more

Some different faces and same great service. Just had annual check and still my favorite doctors office visit! You complainers keep going to your Costco and your eye places with 1990 equipment. I went from contacts to glasses this time and never felt pressured at all at what to buy. Sure I asked how things looked and got opinions but I asked and much appreciated..... This is a first class operation and the ladies there are awesome. Up to date stuff and I don't know how much more of a selection you peeps could want??? My mother in law had been here before and liked it so when I needed glass for my son I let her take him here. She called first to verify they took our insurance of course. Upon arrival we supplied both my social and our group ID for my plan and they were having trouble verifying on their end that my son was on my plan. Rather than just call my insurance to clear it up, they proceeded with the appointment and ordered my sons glasses. My Mother in law spent about $500, to which they said she would submit a claim to our insurance for reimbursement. Well as it turns out, they ARE NOT in network for My insurance company which means rather than a $10 copay and the frames and lenses being fully covered, we get reimbursed only about $100 of the $500. We were told there's nothing they can do. I would definitely not recommend this business to anyone I know and we will be working with the bank to dispute the charge. We should have been told up front that they don't work with our insurance carrier not after we spent $500! read more

I don't really understand why this place gets such terrible reviews. I've been going here for two years. I go in for my annual eye exam and buy my contacts and glasses here. I've never waited more than 10 minutes to be seen and the customer service here has been nothing but above my expectations. They have a nice selection of frames and always work with me and my insurance to find the best way to save money. If I had to come up with any negatives at all about this place it's that it's not open on weekends and that the appointments get booked fast (which is really only a problem for me because I wait until the very last minute to go in and order my contacts). I was extremely disappointed in this place after I brought my two children here for exams & to purchase eye wear. The one star is for the friendliness of the staff. The negative 4 stars is for the long wait & the fancy new cataract testing that they never tell you includes an extra charge of $60 ( not to take, but for allowing the doctor to open on the computer to look at & to show the patient). Like I said, I brought my two children here, one who was 13 at the time & was brought into to see the doctor without me present & the doctor asked her permission to open the cataract results on the computer....uh hello, she is a minor!! I'm still puzzled on how they thought that was ok. We also waited an outrageous amount of time at our appointments, eyewear was very expensive here & we were told that we would get a phone call when their glasses came in, after waiting to hear from their office for over 2 weeks, I finally broke down to see what the hold up was & was informed that the glasses were there & that they did call us, but never left a message on our answering machine...WHAT?? I am here trying to pick up my glasses and they're not even ready.
