It's very small, intimate, chill and Italian vibes. The food was phenomenal. It's like if you have a significant other, and you're strolling through the neighborhood in a summer evening and you discover this place, go in and now all of a sudden you're in Little Italy. You eat well, vibe to the old school jams, while having the most amazing and intimate conversations. The drinks were superb. The lobster pasta was sooooo good. Simple ingredients with a magnificent taste! Minus one star because girl, the hostess was not only the hostess, she was the bus boy, the cook, and whatever else. A lovely surprise! Quaint Italian restaurant with fabulous garden patio for outdoor dining. Menu is very vegan friendly -- for those preferring a plant based diet. Pizza is quite delicious. Wine list could be a bit better -- but horrible. read more

First time trying vegan pizza; not my personal favorite. We were seated in the back patio; could've used a bit of organizing as it looked very messy. Waiter was a bit moody initially when we asked him about possibly changing our table since we were seated near the oven. Over time he warmed up but we were already turned off by his attitude (wish we would've gotten his name). Pizzas were not our favorite and the artichoke/spinach dip was mediocre as it contained too much of the artichoke and not a balance. Overall, it was an okay experience. read more

Our party had just finished taking a tour of the Brooklyn Brewery, and we noticed Oregano as we happened to walk past it.  It turned out to be an outstanding find! This is a old-school, Mom & Pop restaurant where they make wood-fired pizza and home-made pasta.  Service is attentive and friendly while still being totally unobtrusive :-) The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and cozy; the prices are very reasonable considering how good their food is. read more

We were really hyped about this but left kinda disappointed. Food: 3.5/5 The cavatelli was the best. The flavors just blended together well. The Alfredo was average. The squid ink was different. Good but not remarkable. Drinks: 2/5 The frose was delicious!..if it was a fruit juice. Personally, none of us tasted alcohol. The ambiance was cozy and comfortable albeit a little small. It was nicely decorated and the service was good, they accommodated my party of 6 with their limited space. We ordered the Fig, Goat Cheese, and Prosciutto Pizza. The flavors really blended well together and I wasn't expecting to like this but I did! We also ordered the Pesto Crostini which was delicious: it had a soft thick piece of bread topped with fresh tomatoes, arugula, pesto, and burrata. Our main dish we ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. While it's the most popular dish on their online menu, it was just OK. I normally don't order chicken parm but we were so hungry that my brain just farted. Chicken was juicy, but didn't really impress me at all. Pleasant visit with good decor and service, but should have ordered a different entree. read more

The food is good and not too expensive. The restaurant itself is kinda ugly and the music they play sucks. Theres one wall thats all their canned goods and supplies as decor which is nice. They've crowded too many tables into a small space so getting to your table might be hard. Also its pretty smoky and not really in a good way. And they burned the garlic bread to an extent that most of what you tasted was burnt toast. So its got pluses and minuses. read more

My sister and I went here on Father's Day and it was great. I loved that their backyard was Alice in the wonderland themed ! I thought that was super cute. The service was great here and they were fast to help . The food was really good ! I liked the chicken Parm more than I like the pesto one , but both were good on their own. Randomly came to this place after visiting a couple thrift stores within the area, and I'm thrilled to have found this place! Instantly invited by the warmth and coziness of the decor in the restaurant. For a Sunday night, they weren't too busy so we were able to get seated inside right away. They do have outdoor seating available though! We had ordered the Queen of Cucumber cocktail, Williamsburg pizza, and the Spinach Salad. Cucumber drink was strong in alcohol but still very refreshing. The Williamsburg pizza came as a 10" thin crust size (perfect for one person or two people if you order other things). The crust was chewy but crispy, and the rest of the pizza was soft. I didn't think it was soggy more so since it's a thin crust with plenty of sauce it makes it softer than your normal crackery crust. They definitely didn't skimp on the meat! For the spinach salad, I thought it was a nice mix of walnuts, red onions, fresh strawberries, feta, and balsamic vinaigrette. I would ask for the dressing on the side though since I felt it was a little too much. Overall, I thought the service was great! Very attentive and kind, plus the food came out fast. This reinforces my original review that employees in the kitchen aren't wearing proper gear to protect food. Absolutely disgusting... Dining in during COVID Called ahead to make sure we'd be able to get a table. One person from our party was asked to provide information in the event of outbreak/contact tracing. Our waiter was extremely polite and guided our first time experience at the restaurant. There were a few times where I felt this waiter was complacent and kept interrupting our dinner conversation. In the back is the open kitchen where you'll be able to see their fire-wood oven. My seat faced the kitchen and I observed that the chefs were either A. Not wearing proper face coverings OR B. using them as chin diapers. Im giving a star for our server. The other 3 stars go towards the juicy fresh and tasty Bruschetta, the heavenly gnocchi four cheese, and packed Williamsburg pizza. Bruschetta although slightly burnt, Had fresh chopped tomatoes and a balanced garlic impact. I enjoy kick on my Williamsburg 'za and the hot sopressata met my tastebuds. Decent 12" that I managed to go down on 3/4 of the pie. Took the rest home. So so so good! My mother and I were looking for a good Italian spot while walking around the area and we are so glad we came here! The interior was very cozy and inviting, and the staff were super friendly! My mother had a lot of questions regarding the menu and the waiter was very patient with us! The food also came out super quick (only waited maybe 10 minutes), and it was delicious! The portions were pretty good, and it was fresh and not too salty! I've been coming to oreganos for years! Just for the vodka Gnocchi but sad to say I will never be returning to this establishment for as long as it stands. Me and my gf ordered for pick up Saturday 6/11/22. I ordered my standard gnocchi and she ordered a calzone with pepperoni. Now when we got home the calzone didn't have any ricotta cheese and about 3 pepperonis ( mind you they charge about $4-$5 add on)... like what !!! I'm then eating my Gnocchi and on my last bite I nearly cut my mouth with a piece of metal of some sort. I reached out to oreganos and emailed Rena pictures and her response was "We don't have any metal like that anywhere on the premises. As for the calzone, it looks like a classic calzone that we sell." Like wow is that how you value your customers? It's disgusting honestly. I rather spend $80 on a calzone and pasta else where. We asked for a refund and she has just been completely unresponsive. An apology or accommodation of some sort would've been fine too. Just an acknowledgement- you know ? But moving forward, we won't be dining or ordering anything from here. Owners like this are a cheap and only care about what's coming in the door rather then what's going out. read more

Randomly stopped in here on Halloween because it was packed and everyone was dressed up! It's definitely a more fun vibe, you can tell from their decor. Started with a few drinks which were good and tried the penne vodka. It doesn't come with chicken but I added grilled chicken into it. The sauce was delicious. The only downside about this was the amount of chicken that came with the meal. I also wish the restaurant served bread for the table while you wait for your meal. We went to oregano restaurant tonight at my daughter's recommendation. We all were eating gluten-free pizza. She went there before and she had a good experience. We got there and we waited over 25 minutes for a table outside in a beautiful courtyard that they have. The service Was not up to par. It took forever to get plates, silverware, and water. We got four different gluten-free pizzas. When they came to the table after an extended time, they were lukewarm. Do you know when the cheese cools down and it kind of gels, that's what we had and the under the pizza was not cooked. It looked raw. I asked the person to please reheat them which they did and they came back hot and burnt. Very, very disappointed with the service and the food. I do feel that they didn't have enough people to accommodate all the people that were eating there. When we left the restaurant, no one acknowledged us or ask how the food was or even said goodbye. Not going back here again! I wish I took pictures of how the pizza looked so you can get a better idea. Also because we got gluten-free each pizza was over $25. Was not worth the trip. read more

There's no other words for Oregano besides AMAZING! This has been on my list of go to's for a while now and I finally got around to it. I went here on a Thursday date night & it was perfect. From the welcoming staff, the cute inside vibes and the delicious food!! Their inside dining area is not the biggest but so intimate and loving. They offer outside dining (front & back). Almost everything on their menu can be made vegan which is an A+ for me. I also had the most delicious vegan rose. I just went here on a date last night for the first time and wow I will definitely be returning! The incredible food and atmosphere was so unexpected! We sat in the back garden and it was so cute- felt like Italy. Our server was super sweet and attentive but also gave us our space to chat which I liked- never felt rushed to leave! It's on the smaller side and limited seating, I witnessed getting there right In time and before I knew it there was a line of people waiting to be seated with no waiting area, try not to have the seat at the door lol. I had the chefs special- black linguine with lobster in vodka sauce. It was tasty but slightly too saucy. Not much noodles but a lot of filler (sun dried tomatoes) . Very tasty nonetheless. The ambience was dimly lit and volume was slightly loud. I think it's a great date spot, or dinner with friends. The service was fast and attentive which is what I look for so that's a A in my book!
