My friends and I came here for dinner the other night, and we were curious about this place since a few of us have passed by it. We sat outside and the service was friendly and welcoming from the onset. The space itself is very nice with lots of dark wood and nice accents. We all ordered the NA prasino cocktail and a bunch of spreads and pita bread to share. We also ordered the honey roasted carrots to share, which were so yummy. As for our mains, we all ordered something different. We ordered the lobster orzotto, the shrimp skewers, the scallops and the lamb and everyone enjoyed what they got. I've never had a disrespectful service at a restaurant before tonight. There were 3 other tables at 6:30 and then my boyfriend and I. A table of six was wrapping up as we were getting drinks so then it was just another couple and a table of 3 left (aka it was basically dead). At our table, I was barely acknowledged the whole time. He asked how my boyfriend's food was and not mine. I asked for a box and the check when he had a second and he didn't say anything, turned, and just walked away. This restaurant was an absolute delight. The atmosphere had dim lighting and we sat at a nice table for two. There was a wine tasting going on behind us. The server was attentive and gave good suggestions on the menu as it was our first time. I started with a dirty martini with Greek olives stuffed with feta cheese. It was the best dirty martini I have had in a long time Everything that we ordered was absolutely delicious. The hummus was the best I have ever had. The lamb ragu was so flavorful and delicious. Overall a nice spot. Food is solid and reasonably priced. Wine list leans Greek, as it should, and made for good dinner pairings. We followed recommended the 2 dishes per person and it was just right. All the shareable dishes were good, no complaints except maybe some of them were on the smaller side (especially the dips). The tartare was really good and the favorite. We ordered a full fish dish (not the branzino, maybe a snapper), and it was good but more meaty and less flavorful than expected. It's more of a user error - I would recommend the other fish for a more delicate option. Note that it does take a while longer for the fish to come out. We were close to finishing everything else before the fish came out. Setting is nice and I think they're really aiming for the Greece/Mediterranean vibe with chill/Mediterran house music. It did run loud and our fault for potentially not asking them to turn it a bit lower. read more

I was so excited to dine at Nerina since I just returned from Greece. This restaurant was formed from the team behind Nerai (Manhattan restaurant) and offers a modern take on Greek cuisine with a mezze style menu which is perfect for sharing. The grilled octopus was incredible and actually better than what I had in Santorini! I also loved the lobster risotto, which was rich and flavorful (I'm still thinking about it). The Greek wines really took me back to my trip, with their unique flavors that matched the dishes perfectly. I legit texted friends while I was eating here letting them know they have to come for the mezze and martinis. I'll definitely be back so I can experience this spot in the summer in their beautiful outdoor dining section. Shout out to our server Andres for giving us the best recommendations. This is an amazing place. Great food and a top tier staff. Truly a local favorite. Pictured below: Kasseri scrambled eggs (with cheese), I added a side of bacon. And a kokkini mimosa. Our daughter has recently moved to Greenpoint and wanted to celebrate her birthday with the family in Nerina. We made a reservation for Sunday at 3 PM and chose the brunch menu option, although, our waiter said we can order from the dinner menu as well. The food and the drinks are amazing. We have tried a variety of appetizers: fried saganaki, zucchini fritters, hummus, tzatziki, spicy feta, sourdough bread with honey butter and fig jam, cauliflower, Greek salad. For the main course, we ordered all the available types of skewers: chicken, halloumi, fillet mignon, salmon and shrimp. For dessert, we had 3 chocolate mousse, 1 baklava and 1 Greek yogurt. The total bill for a lavish meal for 7 people with drinks, tax and tip came to be $610, this is really good for the quantity, quality and variety of food we had. I am surprised this place was not filled for Sunday brunch, but perhaps, many people went to the beach and also, Greenpoint is just starting to get trendy, so I am sure, with time, Nerina will have a loyal following. read more

Went here last night and thought the food was excellent! The gnocchi was a fun spin on traditional Greek potatoes and we loved the zucchini chips. The cocktails were also delicious. I do think the portions (including drink size) are very small for the price, so this won't be a go to but more a special occasion place for me. read more

This place is a gem. Beautiful, spacious and chill environment. Elias and the staff were very friendly and professional. They made many recommendations, and everything was spot on. We ate the greek salad, strapatsada, chicken souvlaki, and the halloumi appetizer. For drinks, we had a Greek Rose, Freddo Cappuccino and Freddo Espresso. Martini! The dessert was very special as well. It was a Tsoureki (sweet bread) Bread Pudding paired with Vanilla Gelato. Everything was executed perfectly, and brought out in a timely manner. There is lots of seating and great artwork. It really reminds me of Greece, and the deck seats are comfortable and there are lots of people to make friends there. This place was spectacular. The entire staff made me feel so welcome,. During my visit my table was served by Petro - he was so mindful and friendly. I really loved the Pita - it is made in house and so delicious. I loved everything we ordered - scallops, gnocchi, lamb and more!! I would deff recommend this spot to groups and couples. This place is fire. We went with another couple that's from the area. Apparently it hasn't been open that long but the server told us they have another place in Manhattan. Everything was great but the lobster orzo really stole the show. What do they put in the sauce? And cooked to perfection. Got the orzo just right, slightly al dente. And the lobster is just wow! The space is so warm and inviting and the service felt so welcoming and also like they'd been open for years despite it actually being opening week. My friends and I started with house made pita and dips which were delicious and the Tuna Tartare and Greek Salad, which hit the spot. Got the Lobster Orzotto which I dreamt about after, it was an absolutely perfect dish, which I'll 100% come back for. Had a 7pm reservation but didn't get sat for 25 minutes even though the place was empty. Took a while for the server to come over and get our order. By the time we finally ordered it took 40 minutes to get our drinks and we had to ask twice where our drinks were. We had finished our appetizers before our drinks even arrived. Then our server never came back after that to ask how things were, we never had an opportunity to even order more drinks or food. Never got more water. Such bad service all around. We ordered the octopus and it looks nothing like how's it promoted online, it was just served chopped up in a scoop as if it was from a buffet with a side scoop of onions. Spicy feta didn't taste like anything. Pita was nothing special. Halloumi was pretty good. Overall wouldn't go back. read more

We sat in the patio section which felt like we were transported to a restaurant at a beach resort in Greece with all the decor.
