Cucumber & Jalapeño Margarita

Ola's is always a go to for lunch with a view. The outside patio is perfect looking over marina. Their food is really good, chips an salsa are plentiful and I love the Margaritas. Our server checked in pretty regularly and we had a nice meal.

When I walked in I was impressed by how nice everything looked! From the dim lighting to architecture and decorations, it was all cool to walk into. Food was exceptional, I got a steak and ceviche which were fantastic, and a spicy cocktail I forget the name of, but it was so good I could drink them all night. Our server was amazing as well, they have a superb management and ownership team that were so kind and accommodating to us. I just wish I could remember their name! Thanks again, we will definitely be back

This is the third time I am at this restaurant in the last three years. They have a very cool location where you can sit out and watch the boats at the marina. The other times I have been here the food has not been the greatest. However this time the food was very very good. Fresh and crisp ceviche and even better to par it with a topo and elote. 5 stars on both food location and service. They must have changed owners or something. I will definitely come back again and again.!!

Enchiladas Con Ribeye

The food is decent, not a truly authentic Mexican restaurant but more of a fusion-style cuisine. I ordered the enchiladas con ribeye, and it was okay. The views are great if you're dining on the patio, and the staff is friendly. Overall, it's overpriced, but you're paying more for the ambiance.

When: Sunday 1pm Food: (1) Ribeye Fajitas - 9/10. Tasty and loaded with veggies. Comes with side of 3 tortillas and guacamole. (2) Agave Salmon - 7/10. Salmon and asparagus is well cooked. Everything else I didn't care for. "Baby heirloom tomato salsa" just tasted like regular generic salsa. Salsa and salmon isn't a good mix in my opinion. The cilantro lime rice was mushy and overcooked. Atmosphere: Great location, well decorated, but very loud! Service: our server was great!

Thank you Ola's

We went and took y nephew and his new FIANCE as a congratulations for getting engaged! We had the best time! Fabulous service- they let me brig a cake! I was so excited I didn't hoto the food..BUT...gat the lobster quest Dillard! Stuffed with lobster and PHENOENAL!

This is not your typical Mexican restaurant that is authentic but more of a high end place where you're paying for the views and its locations. If you want something authentic you have to drive down five miles on Anaheim street to get the most authentic Mexican food. We came here on a Sunday and not very busy- this is a huge place and when it's not busy service is a tad slow. We ordered the tacos and it was decent- not as spicy as I like my authentic Tacos. The server was nice and we were seated by the windows and before the sun comes down the view is spectacular- this is what you pay for. Food is decent and the service could be better- but overall I give it a 3 and a half star.

My family and I have come to Ola several times over the past few years. We usually come for happy house since they have a great happy hour menu. They recently raised their happy hour prices but they still have great deals. Our favorites are the 3 tacos and a margarita for $17 (used to be $15) and the nachos. The food and drinks are tasty! The service is usually pretty quick and the food comes out promptly. We have come on different days and we are always able to get a table. We specifically like that the place is family friendly and the high chairs seem newer and very sturdy. Happy hour is every Monday thru Friday from 3-6 and all day on Tuesdays.

Ola could not miss! Ambiance - not a bad seat in the house from the nice bar and indoor/outdoor area looking at the boats and beautiful sunset. Service - the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. Brought extra water and salsa and was super attentive. So how did it taste? 1. Ribeye Chimichurri Taco - medium well, moist and flavorful ribeye steak strips. Only issue was the chimichurri was lost as the heat lamps dried it out. 2. Lobster Taco - for an extra $8 the lobster taco was a mouthful. Definitely well spent $8. Though flavorful, slightly over done. 3. Pork Belly Tacos - definitely a miss even though recommended by the staff. Cali is known of the fusion scene and I've had plenty of pork belly tacos but this missed the mark and was very underwhelming. The marinade was great and full of flavor but by the time I received it the pork was "dry". Dry, cubed, marinated jerky is what it felt like. To make it work the peppers were kind of thrown in there with an equally dried cabbage. Best of luck to this establishment. I'll definitely be back.

The food is good, but the scenery is even better. All you need is to invite the right kind of people to have a fantastic dining experience. The serving staff was always attentive, and our drinks came quickly. We didn't have to wait long for our orders either.

Best Mexican food south of the border. Nice Ambiance overviewing the harbor. I have been going here for a couple of years now and this place does not seem to dissapoint! Great service and very good food. Same price as going to El Torito and Acapulco. This place has its advantage, ocean view with updated amenities. Bar and location. This a go to spot. Hidden gem on 2nd st. Long Beach CA! You won't be dissapointed.

Dined there Saturday evening (party of 8) in town for Grand Prix. Horrible service. We saw our server 3 times the whole night. Received one round of drinks, the second round she forgot to bring us, and we had to get from the bar. Food was ok, ribeye fajitas were cold. Asked for manager at the end of the night to remove gratuity off my personal check, and nobody ever came. Left after waiting over 20 minutes. Called the next day, and spoke with manager Abraham to explain the situation, and that I wanted my check adjusted as I did not sign the receipt. He told me that is how their fajitas come. He couldn't help me, and let me know the GM Brian would call me and help with the issue on Tuesday afternoon. It's Thursday evening, and still no help or call. Clearly poor management that results in poor service!

Came here for a coworkers goodbye party. It was a very comfortable space, plenty of room for a big group. We all ordered so many things and everything was delicious! Attentive service from our server, plenty of refills.

Of all the times I've been here, it's alway been great. The service was amazing and the experience…read morewas all great. This visit, we stopped by during happy hour. It's normally taco Tuesday or dinner. It wasn't busy when we arrived. Mainly everyone was seated outside which we wanted a table as well. There was one that we were interested in and asked if we could have it which the waitress working was ok with. But it needed clearing up. It took a while for someone to come out and clear and clean the table up. It was fine waiting but it was like did someone forget about us. Anyways. We got seated and then the waiting continued. It could be that they were short staff but it seemed like there was only one person working. It took a while for someone to finally come back and acknowledge us and take our order. After that the chips and salsa were brought out. Once we ordered the drinks it was easier to place everything together. Menu for happy hour is pretty limited. A few drinks and beer on drafts and for food, maybe 6 items on the menu. Went with an order of the street corn which was quite tasty. An order of the mole chicken nachos and the queso dip with barria. Out of the three, the queso dips and the street corn were great. Nachos were good but nothing really major. The flavors of everything were quite tasty. Dishes were 12.00 an item. For happy hour, it was decent and what we had was good. The service was pretty slow at the beginning. Only the front patio and inside seating was available as the back patio wasn't open. We did start to see other staff walking in so maybe there was only one staff during the time.

Not impressed by anything we ordered, given the competition locally…read more I will drive to Acton, CA (124 miles round trip) for their chicken tortilla soup ... bringing back 3 quarts of it after our meal is done. The soup here lacks the tastebud awakening zip that Don Chato's has. The ono fish taco experience was my fault... I hate fried fish taco, so I had lofty expectations, but due to the fact that I do not prefer corn tortillas, guacamole or raw onions, led to much disappointment since It has all three. Totally my fault. The butternut enchilada was lacking in the expected savoriness... this is being polite. The potato taquito was okay... but I am not a taquito person, so if you are I would seriously encourage you to try it. The star of the table was the Mexican corn. It may not compete with Cornman in Lincoln Heights, but it was decent. I scraped off the onions and toppings on the ono tacos, put the fish on the flour tortillas that another person didn't want, and topped the fish with refried beans, street corn and a but if the chicken tortilla soup broth to make due. When you are driving more than 30 minutes for this experience, I think you would agree that it was less that a proper way to celebrate a birthday. Oh and if there isn't any street parking. It'll cost you about 9 bucks in the lot. I didn't use the restroom, so I cant review its cleanliness. Our waitress was flawless taking orders and delivering food The restaurant itself has a great layout and an outdoor courtyard complete with propane heaters and umbrellas - I loved that... but my favorite part was out front, no not the seating area in the former parking spaces, nope... it was the collapsed woman on the sidewalk, walking her dog with snot running out of her nose because she was huffing some aerosol can of whatever. This truly set the mood upon arrival. Two stars for being close to a lot of other food choices to visit afterward.

There's so many places that you see constantly and walked by numerous of time and that is that…read more This place is one of them. I've always wondered what it was all about. Seeing people going in and out which I knew it was a restaurant. Last night we started off with drinks at the speakeasy next door. The two places share restrooms and that's how I found out about this place. Let me say it was a vibe. The first thing you notice from the back, the bar area and Photo Booth. And the live DJ keeping the place on its feet. We ended up wanted to check it out as it was a full restaurant and bar. Friday night without a reservation, spoke with hostess which they could accommodate 6 of us in a bit. Still had to close out at the other place before. The restaurant has a cool vibe with the main dining area in front, bar area towards the back side and on the opposite site is where the DJ booth was. Sam was our waitress who took very good care of us. Very sweet, friendly and of course attentive. Made sure that we were well taken cared of and if anything was needed she was there. It's a cool Mexican restaurant with a cool vibe to match. The place did get lively and was pretty full. You had parties up and dancing and enjoying themselves. Anyway, food and drinks. Started off with some spicy margaritas. Wow, they were strong but good. You had to sip versus drink... lol... Bartender was not playing and in a good way. The menu is somewhat limited compared to other restaurants but what was offered all looked amazing. A modern twist to Mexican food but still with the amazing authentic flavors. Instead of a meal we opted for à la carte and shared everything. Also was informed that the dishes are like tapas and great for sharing. Chips and salsa were brought out which both the chips and salsa were excellent. An order or the aguachille which had that nice sour taste with the lime juice perfectly balanced for the shrimp and trimmings. Served with tostada. The shrimp ceviche, another wonderful dish. Nicely marinaded in the lime juice was very flavorful and also served with tostada. An order of the enchiladas, came with three but we split it for 6 of us. The cheese and filling was very good. The molcajete served in a volcanic bowl stuffed with different meat, cactus, cheese all combined to create an amazing dish full of flavors. A must have and lastly the adobado hamachi collar, yellowtail. Very tasty but did have a fishy taste. Yes it's fish but still. Quite tasty and plentiful. Overall food and vibe was great. The place was definitely lively in the evening. We can finally say we've been and tried some amazing dish. It's a place that worth coming back for more.
