It's a really cool place, and it's bustling with people. That said, I do think it's probably a little bit overhyped given the sheer number of folks in there on the weekend I came to visit. The drinks all sound pretty good; they had a huckleberry Moscow Mule that I wanted to try, but the evening that I came by they actually were having trouble with their cash register and could only take cash. I didn't have any, so I wasn't actually able to buy anything. They do also have food at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, but it's kind of pretty standard bar food, so I wasn't particularly interested in that. There was also almost nowhere to sit -- I got lucky and there ended up being one seat at the bar, and I was by myself so I parked it there and hung out for 15-20 mins to enjoy the vibe. But there were groups coming in and out who ended up just standing around by the tables or in the corner because there weren't any seats available at the bar or the main floor with tables. My understanding is that they do sometimes have karaoke or live music or something like that. The day that I was there (Saturday of memorial day weekend), I didn't see live music within the bar but that was the weekend of the "Million Dollar Country Music Festival," which took place just outside the bar in Jackson Square. It was free, and despite being very packed, it was super cool! The area immediately in front of the bar was shoulder to shoulder, but there were some areas around the park to sit and you could hear the stage just fine. Overall, it's a pretty cool area. Regardless of if you want drinks or food, you should probably come check it out when visiting Jackson Hole if you've never been. Of note, there is a little bit of street parking that's free for a couple of hours during the day (and free in the evenings in general), but do just take note of the signs about where and what time the parking is free so that you don't end up getting ticketed or towed (there are indeed a good number of state troopers around the area who do seem to keep an eye on that).

The chicken tenders were typical bar tenders, nothing special. Basic fries. So the food was struggling to score a three star. The thing about the service was that it could have been much better but because of the early hour we seemed to be sort of the warm up customers. One bartender was in training so while he greeted us he was promptly dismissed by the main bartender who alternated between being the best and the worst bartender you might have. When you're two of three people at the bar and there's only five people in the whole place you might expect to get more conversation from the barkeep since we were out of towners and looking forward to hearing about the local scene. Nope. I guess you could say it was mainly our high expectation of having a friendly bartender but ended up feeling sort of like a bar seat. This was at a very low ebb in the season as well as the day so I can't imagine that the experience would improve with more people. As with all things, it's all about expectation.
