Our son needed a pick up truck for his new profession. He was sad to see his mini go but PJ gave us a GREAT trade in value. The truck was priced well under blue book value and had all of the bells and whistles. PJ was extremely easy to work with and did not pressure us one but. The purchase process was stress free and quick! We will definitely return to this dealership!

This dealer is nothing but a joke and a scam !!! I had just bought a diesel truck from there recently for $17,527 and some change. Everything was fine with the truck for about 3 weeks. After 2 days of having the truck I decided to do an oil change and everything looked alright at first. I did the oil went out for the day and when I came home I checked the level to make sure everything was fine. Come to find out the level was high but I didn't think anything of it maybe I put a little much in. Then next day all of a sudden the truck started having a fuel leak somewhere because I was doing 5 mpg. I thought it might just be injector seals leaking diesel into the oil causing the level to rise and my mpg to drop. A few days later the truck began having a huge coolant leak due to the upper and lower radiator hoses from the engine side. So I took it to a dealer to get the fuel leak and coolant done. Now keep in mind I have connections to the dealer I took the truck too for work. I know they won't screw me on prices or parts and it'll get done right with a warranty. Come to find out the truck had more issues. It also needed the serpentine belt, A/C belt and a tensioner because it was slinging rust. I told the dealer to go ahead and do the work. They quoted me about $3,300 for serpentine belt, AC belt, belt tensioner, upper and lower radiator hoses, and injector seal testing. Which isn't too bad until the technician did a oil change on the truck and drove it home and back. The technician found out the oil levels did go up but didn't smell like diesel or have diesel in it. I told them to go ahead with the work and keep me informed and so they did. After all the testing they found out the seals are fine but the truck is making its own oil. They also found out the fuel leak is from the high pressure fuel pump. So just as it is right now the nine star auto group sold me a truck that is doomed to blow out a motor with it making its own oil. But going further into the truck to swap the high pressure fuel pump the truck cab needs lifted off to access it. When the technician was getting ready for the work they informed me the cab mounts are done for and need replacement. So now I need serpentine belt, AC belt, belt tensioner, high-pressure fuel pump, cab mounts, upper and lower radiator hoses this brings my cost out to $9,184.96 to repair this truck which is over half the cost I bought it. So I reached out to nine star multiple times stating I know it's sold as is but it hasn't even been 2 months and I'm having to drop almost 10k into this truck and I would like to talk someone who can help. They told me to talk to PJ and call back in a hour so I did and got told he wasn't there and to try again in an hour. After another hour I called requesting PJ then got told he's not in but he can't do anything about it and that it's my problem for taking it to a dealer claiming dealers are expensive saying that dealers do something for 100 but if I let their mechanic do it then it'll be 20. I've mentioned to them that I understand it's sold as is and they had me sign a contract not to sue them but I asked if they would atleast cover half the cost being that they sold me a screwed vehicle that needs major work done. I got told there's nothing they can do. I also get they have a mechanic but I'm sorry I'm not gonna give my truck to you for it to come back ruined. So now I'm paying 500 a month for a truck and I'm gonna have to pay almost 10k to have the truck fixed this dealer is a joke and scam DO NOT BUY a vehicle from here. I have added photos below.

This was one of the best experiences I had purchasing a vehicle. First, the place inside is super clean and neat! It makes you feel comfortable and ready for your new car. I was a little afraid of what it was going to be like since I had basically purchased the vehicle without test driving it. But the car was neat and there were something wrong with the mirrors. They quickly said they would order new ones and send them to me. They are also super friendly. Definitely would recommend

DECEPTIVE SALES TACTICS AND CONSUMER INTIMIDATION Do not…read moretrust this dealer's verbal promises. They use "Signing Fatigue" and misleading sales tactics to defraud customers. 1. The Bait and Switch: During the purchase of my 2017 Mercedes-Benz E300, the Finance Manager aggressively pushed a $3,000 NVP Warranty. I was explicitly told it was "Bumper-to-Bumper" and covered the entire engine. This was a lie. They rushed me through a massive stack of digital documents, hiding the fact that they were actually selling me a highly restricted plan. 2. Failure to Honor Commitments: When the car suffered major PCV and LED failures (P052E), NVP denied the claim because of how the dealer registered the contract. The dealer now hides behind "AS-IS" clauses to avoid responsibility for their verbal misrepresentations. 3. Legal Intimidation: Instead of acting in good faith to resolve the $3,000 fraud, this dealer had their In-House Counsel send me a "Cease and Desist" letter to intimidate me into silence. They would rather pay a lawyer to bully a customer than honor their sales promises. I have officially filed formal complaints with the Virginia Attorney General (OAG), the Motor Vehicle Dealer Board (MVDB), and the SCC. I am seeking a full refund and a state investigation into their business license. If you value your money and your rights, buy your car elsewhere.

Let me offer a little financial education wrapped inside a story and review because what happened…read moreat Capital Auto Sales was a masterclass in "Buyer Beware 101." We looked at a used 2011 Audi with low miles that was labeled a "Great Value" online via CarFax. Fun fact: those platforms base their ratings on local market listings, not true vehicle valuation. Translation: if ten dealerships all overprice their cars, the least overpriced one magically becomes a "Great Deal." It is basically the best of the worst award. The salesman seemed friendly enough at first until he learned we had our own financing. Suddenly he avoided eye contact like the truth was physically painful. Those were absolutely not the words he wanted to hear. And that is when the "FUN" math party started. Most credit unions follow a 125 percent loan-to-value rule which means they will only finance up to about 125 percent of a car's real verified worth so you do not end up deeply upside down the moment you sign. When our lender pulled the actual numbers using industry standard data, the car's true value came back at about $11k. Not the sticker price. Not the market hype. The real valuation. So a car worth $11k has a maximum safe loan amount somewhere around $13,700 total. This includes tax, title, license, and fees. That is the cap. Period. Capital Auto Sales, however, wanted us to pay several thousand dollars more than that...and was bold enough to ask us to put money down to pay for their markups. GASP...THE NERVE! When our credit union refused to fund the inflated price, the salesman suddenly rolled out an entire menu of preferred lenders who would be thrilled to help us overpay. You know the type. The ones that would probably finance a cardboard box with wheels if the dealership slapped on a protection package and called it "premium." Yes. Those. At that point the math was mathing. Once you know the real value of a car, agreeing to pay way above that would be financially irresponsible. No amount of awkward explanations or other lenders could change basic arithmetic. To make matters even more entertaining, they also tried to slip in junk fees and a questionable "APEX Protect" package which was really just an aftermarket tracker for their benefit...disguised as a necessity. None of it added value. All of it added cost. This is not business. This is bad business. Buyer Beware truly applies here. Capital Auto Sales relies on customers not understanding loan to value rules, true vehicle valuations, or the tactics dealers use to mask inflated pricing. If you shop here, go in with your eyes wide open. Better yet, go somewhere with ethical practices and transparent pricing. Protect your wallet before their deals empty it. We walked away educated, not defeated. And if this review helps someone else avoid overpaying by thousands, then sharing it was absolutely worth it.

Please DISREGARD the other reviews…read more I was extremely excited to do business here with my family and purchase a car. We bought a car as is and the clerk was extremely nice but very pushy. WE GOT SCAMMED. DO NOT come here and buy a car. We checked the Carfax and everything was in perfect condition. Less than a month in, the car had very bad problems with the pistons and was eating away the oil. We have to add oil to the car EVERY WEEK. The Carfax showed no problems, which is why we didn't purchase a warranty (because it seemed like gimmick tax-ons if there were no problems during the inspection). But people know that piston problems don't just appear immediately after 1 month. This is a problem that takes time to accumulate. We called back and they said there was NOTHING that could do to help??? We were LIED to regarding any engine problems that the car could have had. This was the worst scamming experience in my life that scammed us out of THOUSANDS of dollars. We got other opinions if this was a problem that could be fixed. All opinions advised we should sell/trade the car because fixing it would require building a whole new engine and would cost the same as buying another car! I have NEVER written a review before for any place and this is my first. I am a business administrator, journalist, and entrepreneur and will make sure to share the word regarding this SCAMMING BUSINESS with the DC news, DMV friends/family, and the Better Business Bureau. This is the most unprofessional dealership business and their intentions were just to get rid of a car with major problems. I am very fair share, but we explained to them the situation and there was no help or advice given. PLEASE do NOT do business with these people.
