i bought a CTSV in january and it's currently april and i am still yet to receive a title or the spare set of keys that i was told i was going to get with the vehicle, my experience with this stealership is pathetic, ive tried and tried to get updates and for the past month they have had the title and they are "signing it" and "getting it sent out" but here i am writing this review and reporting them to bbb. there is no reason you have to give me the run around when i come in and put cash on your table you should try to help me out, not just take my money and quit acting like the customer doesnt matter as soon as they sign the paperwork. also, ahmad rahim is a registered sex offender in the state of florida, he definitely shouldn't be running his own dealership, im sure people bring their kids in with them. read more

BUYER'S BEWARE: I purchased a 2014 650i BMW from APFairfax on January 8, 2024. This vehicle turned out to be a complete lemon. I initially returned the vehicle for the control arm to be replaced after a trusted mechanic informed me during my emission test that AP Fairfax made me pay for that he believes I need a control arm, which has to do with the steering of the vehicle. I addressed the brakes issue - the car would shake when I applied the brakes. This occurred on my way to my residence after purchasing the vehicle. AP Fairfax installed a new control arm and brakes and suggested to replace the the right side one. I obliged to the tune of $500. BTW, I was informed by reputable mechanics that I was overcharged for this replacement. I agree. These issues all transpired in a matter of a couple of weeks of owning the vehicle. Fast forward, I observed an oil on my garage floor. I took the vehicle to Laslo Foreign Car Service (he specializes in BMW's & Mercedes Benz to check out the vehicle. I received a call from Laslo personally advising me not to drive the vehicle anymore and he stated the issues -- safety and performance issues. I gave Laslo Foreign Car Service permission to repair my vehicle. Final cost $5,781.00 I was very disturbed by his finding asMr. Shafiel, the owner of AP Fairfax, assured me that I was getting a great vehicle and that he knew the previous owner. Typical "used car salesman' b.s. I have filed a complaint with VA State Attorney General, The Motor Vehicle Dealer Board. I also filed a small claim and was in court onJune 14th. I did not come out victorious due to the "AS IS" clause which allows shady businesses take advantage of unsuspecting individuals like myself and given the fact that the Commonwealth of VA allows business to perpetrate fraud. VA does not go after businesses. Please stay clear of this business. I am not disgruntled. I do not wish what transpired with my purchase from AP Fairfax to happen to another consumer. I have attached my invoice evidencing the work I had done. I also ordered two (2) new tires for the rear to the tune of $555.00. I truly have not driven or enjoyed my vehicle given the safety and performance. BTW, I am now having issues with the convertible. This will be fixed shortly and this reason I purchased the vehicle was for the convertible. Please stay clear of this business. I usually purchase my vehicles directly from the BMW dealership. I erred big time in not doing. A costly price I am and have paid. I transmitted over $10k in a cash transaction for this vehicle. Please read the other reviews before going to this dealership!!! Everything was great pre-contract. Once I signed and sent my deposit, responses were delayed and information was changing. The vehicle that I purchased, 2019 Mercedes C63 AMG, was delivered to me with a check engine light on (I lived far away, which is why I had it delivered). They told me it was just because of aftermarket additions (Before I made the purchase, they told me the vehicle was in great condition with no issues). I drove the car over an hour away back to them to check, after only having the car for 2 days. All they did was cut the light off, so by the time I got back home, the light was back on again. The car also was jerking really bad when you takeoff, and had very little pressure. I started calling and messaging them and got very little response. They actually told me they would come to me two different times so that I did not have to drive so far back to them, and that never happened. The owner of the establishment actually told me to just wait for 30 days when my warranty kicked in, and have it fixed then. The vehicle was undrivable, so my response to him was I should not have to let my new car sit for 30 days in my driveway until the warranty kicks in. It's now been 2 months, and the car has been in the shop for a total of six weeks out of the time that I've had it (it's currently there now), For the same issues that I was originally complaining about the moment it was delivered to me. Also, this warranty that they sold me will not cover any of the repairs, so I wasted money on a warranty and I am now almost $5000 out-of-pocket for this vehicle. They knew the vehicle had problems before they sold it and they did nothing about it! THIS IS NOT A TRUE LUXURY DEALER! PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SHADY COMPANY! Sold me a lemon Car had engine problems from the start. Purchased 8/2024 the car has been in the shop 6 times. Was not allowed to exceeded 35 mph during test drive or go on the highway. Did not disclose crack in the center of the windshield, that brakes needed replacement or that the engine constantly misfires. $5700+ later at the volvo dealership and they can't find cause of misfires. If I could leave a zero, I would. Great actors in the world. Just like typical sales people, they tell you what you want to hear. They will lie to your face. I bought a truck from them and they told me that there is no serious issues. 7 days after day of purchase, I told them I was leaking differential fluid pretty bad. They said they will get back to me about a solution. A week went by and I heard nothing from them. I called them back and they told me "sorry there was a death in the family " "let me talk to the service department and get you in here". Another week went by and now the transmission blew. Ahmad told me to send him the repair estimate. Another week went by and again nothing, so I had no choice to have the work done. I called them and sent emails, finally got an email back saying they are checking with the owner. 2weeks later and still nothing. They don't care, they will tell you what you want to hear just to get you off the phone. They will not help and they WILL lie to you. Gotta update my review. After having my car for a week, I looked at my paperwork and noticed the payment was pretty high. I was going to call them to ask how that happened, but they contacted me first. While there, they had forgot to include my $4000 down payment. I pointed it out to them, and the manager went to fix it. I didn't check but he had literally just fixed it on the first page and not re-run the numbers. The bank ended up rejecting it, which is why he called us. We then had to drive 60 miles back to the dealership to sign new documents. Purchasing a car from A Plus Motors has been somewhat of a nightmare. 1. I purchased a vehicle on Feb 13 2017. It was until March 13, 2017 that they were able to get my my permanent license plates even though i had gotten them my state inspection papers on Feb 15th. On March 14th we were forecasted to have large snowfall in the area so I asked for overnight delivery of my plates which was denied, so I had to leave work and drive there to pick it up. 2. The ad on A+'s website and on every online site (ie. cars[.]com) listed the car as having Navigation. During my drive home from the dealership after purchasing the car I discovered the car had no navigation. The next day I call the dealership to inquire. 3. There was no mention of the vehicle only coming with 1 key until I signed all the paperwork and asked for the second key. Only then did they mention that they only had 1 key for the car and that I was basically SOL. After i brought up the false advertising involving the navigation the dealership promised me a second key. It is now March 27, 2017 I still dont have second key as promised. 4. During the month that I waited for my permanent license plates I was often instructed to use option 3 for Laura Gradias (registration, tags, and license) department. Not once was the phone answered out of the 15+ times I tried and not one voicemail was returned. I am posting this review on AP Fairfax Used Cars, because Mr. Max owns this used Car Dealership. His son Ali has an adjoining business and does the wheel work in the back of his father's dealership. I am sure that if any of Max's used cars need wheel work, Ali is going to be the one to do it. I called Ali on 11/23 to ask for his assistance on a cracked wheel that was leaking air (diagnosed by Mr. Tire). He told me I could drop the Car off on Thanksgiving night and he could have it repaired on Friday. I told him it was important to have it done fast, but correct because I was moving and driving my car to Texas the next week with my 4 year old daughter (across the country). He understood and said that he would call me the next morning to let me know the status. By Friday at noon, I had still not heard from Ali. I called him, he said the repair would be done by the end of the business day 5pm. I still did not hear from him. So at 4pm, I go down to the shop to find him and my car. He is in disarray and disheveled. The place is a mess. He walks me across the hall to his father's dealership to show me that his weld machine is broken/clogged and he needs to fix it before he can repair my car (sometime the next day). The next day, he sends me a text that my car is ready at around noon. He charged me $225 for the repair. I drive across country with my baby on what I now learn was a shotty weld job. See pictures below and a link to the video that I took at the Goodyear Service Center, when my tire went completely flat. Less than a month after Ali's "repair". My tire was flat. I had to have it towed to a Goodyear Service Center. See video and picture below. Since they don't repair wheels, I had to take it to another repair shop and get a rental car during the holidays. They were also astonished at the poor weld job. One technician said. This person is not a welder. He just has a weld machine. I called Ali and respectfully requested a refund. I sent him pictures and the video. He refused. He said should have driven my car back to Virginia FROM TEXAS (where I now reside) for him to take a look at it. I just thank God that I didn't end up stranded on the side of the highway with my baby, or even worse a accident from a blow out. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR MONEY OR YOUR LIFE. I have never been treated so poorly by a used car salesman as I was treated by the manager of AP. The manager treated us rudely from the moment we walked in. He loudly pronounced that he does not negotiate prices whatsoever without even being asked. It was late in the day but there was still thirty minutes left before closing. After test driving the vehicle which was advertised at a very low price I was willing to buy the car but it had a check engine light on. The manager said nothing was wrong with the car and would still not agree to lower his asking price even $1. He then announced that a car advertised as selling at $2879 was actually priced at over $4800 with all of the fees they added to the price. The managers attitude was take it or leave it, I will sell this car to someone else, he would still not agree to lower his price. read more

Highly do not recommend. Once you buy the car and leave the lot, people in here do not care at all. I have emailed Sayed multiple times but his response was either slow or forgotten. Ap fairfax don't negotiate at all. Do not buy their carco dent free coverage because I went there twice already for leather repair and they kept sending back. I have purchased the coverage because the person who sold the coverage told me I could have work done at ap fairfax which wasn't true at all. After I have signed all the paperwork, that's the time when they told me the lexus only came with one key. The car has 13k miles. They promised they would try to get the key and let me go home. These guys are not worth it. Just spend more and buy it from legitimate car dealership that takes care of you. read more

Buyer Beware! - I bought car car last year and it was listed as a premium plus, and I specifically asked the salesman and he confirmed that it was. I sold the car 6 months later and it turns out that it was only a premium so I lost a few thousand dollars on top of the normal depreciation of the car. I contacted the dealership and they said they'd give me $500 more than what carmax would appraise it at only it was going to be appraised as a premium so I would have lost a few thousand dollars. They refused to take responsibility for the issue so be careful when buying here. Additionally, when I bought my car here they refused to mail me my tags so I had to come back it during rush hour only to have the dealership break my $150 OEM tag holder. While in the parking lot they tried to rip a tag holder off of a similar car in the lot but they didn't have any tools so I drove home with the tag dangling off the back of the car. The employee that damaged my car promised he would pay and then after 2 weeks I didn't get anything so I contacted their GM and he said they refused to pay so I had to pay out of pocket to fix my new car at the time after they damaged it. read more

These guys don't pay their contractors! I helped the new management team, David Mcbrearty and Max figure out if their leads were going to the previous managers. I spoke with Dave for over an hour before I got there to understand the issue and what needed to be one. He agreed that we would work together on a month long contract if I could help him with the lead issue. When I got to the office I immediately went to work by speaking with multiple vendors and taking action on issues that needed to be resolved. Dave assured me that he would pay me that day. That was 3 weeks ago. Each time I've spoken with him he's told me that he would take care of it. Instead, they've strung me out and not followed up on their word. We bought a minivan from Terry Bailey today. He was very easy to work with, did not pressure us, and was a straight shooter both on the sales price and on the trade-in value of our old car. This is in stark contrast to the four or five other dealerships that we dealt with leading up to the purchase - who kept calling and emailing even when we told them that we would pass on their cars. Jimmy Diani came in on his day off to handle the financing portion of our vehicle and he was similarly laid back and did not push the protection packages or act like you were stupid for declining certain treatments the way that we've come to expect from other used car purchases. AP auto has terrible customer service. Recently I tried to buy a second car there. I told them I did not want to put money down, and they knew I already had a car loan out. Initially I was told they could not find a bank to fiance me due to having just bought a condo, and a car. Then 2-3 days later Gary ( a salesman terrible there) called me stating I was a approved and to com pick out a vehicle. I was told I was approved for 26k. Which was great because I did not want to spend much for a second car. I picked out a 2015 BMW 335i. The outside of the looked brand new, as we as the insides were nice too, and it had less than 32k in miles. Once I came back into the store I was told I would be next in line with financing. Another salesman named Indrid lost the key to the car. I handed to him after I took a look the car and he lost it within 5 minutes after. I was told they had a spare and they was taking the care to detail it. I waited about 2 in a half hours. I then asked could I test drive the car. At this point Gary told me that they were not able to get an approval due to the same reasons that they told me days ago. Gary took the time to call me, tell me I was approve, tell me to come pick out a car, have me wait almost three hours just to say they could not approve me. And even after this they still send me the same car in a link to my email asking me to come down and check it out. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Avoid this place at all COST!!!! Bought a BMW M3 here. Three days after owning the car I started noticing some damages previously not disclosed to me. After 1 week, the check engine light came on. I brought my car in because they give you a 2 month 4 thousand mile warrenty. My sales person directed me twards the general manager "Adolfo Zubiate". He personally took the car back and checked it out. He came back and told me there was not anything wrong with the car. His team thoroughly checks the cars before selling them and since my car was a older series M3 that bad weather will cause the light to trip on. Couple days later the light came back on but would go off on it's own. Two months go by with this problem consistantly happening and the battery light came on. I took it to the pro's this time "BMW dealership"! $3600 dollars in repairs. They checked the computer and it showed in the time AP motors had possesion of the car they reset this same engine code multiple times! Busted! read more

DAY 1: I saw a beautiful preowned 740Li BMW online at AP Fairfax dealership that had the amenities and color I was looking for. I asked a friend who lived a little over an hour away to go look at it, get car fax and test drive it on Sat because I live and work more than 2 hours away from dealership. My friend informed me that the car was on showroom floor and was told could not test drive it because they only would allow the interested buyer to test drive it. My friend who is mechanically knowledgeable gave the car a thumbs up despite the opportunity to test drive it so I told him to place a deposit to show my serious interest therefore he drove back to the dealership Sat evening and gave them a deposit and was informed I could come anytime on Sunday between 12 noon and 4pm to do test drive. DAY 2: Sunday couldn't come fast enough! I excitedly called AP Fairfax dealership to let them know I was on my way however I got the voice mail and left a detailed message. I called again when I was 15-20 minutes from AP Fairfax. The salesman wanted to know the specific car I was interested in seeing then he placed me on hold and then I was told the car was on hold by another customer. I explained that the deposit was placed for me and then he went on to say that it was a very bad time for me to come to dealership because one of the salesman called in sick and another salesman had to leave early because his wife is pregnant. I still wanted to come because I was so close but he informed me that the BMW I was interested in was still on the showroom floor because they were very busy and short-handed; no one had a chance to pull it of to off floor so if I came, I would only be able to look at it and not get opportunity test drive it. I told him that the purpose of the my visit was to test drive the car I planned on buying. He apologized and recommended I come back to dealership on Monday when things weren't so crazy so I turned around and headed home. I was about half hour from my home and got a call from the dealership and person informed me he got my voice mail message and wanted to know if I was still coming to dealership. I told him that I was literally 10 minutes away from AP Fairfax earlier and the air was let out of my balloon when I was told not to come. I explained what happened and he said he was one of the managers. He apologized for the confusion and asked me to turn around come back to dealership, however I explained its a long car commute for me and told him I would come back Monday for test drive and continued on my drive home. DAY 3: The dealership called to confirm that I was still coming and I informed them I was driving down in the afternoon. I received another call around 12:30ish asking if I was coming and I told the salesperson I would be leaving out in next half hour. I called to let them know I was on my way. Around 1:30 and again around 2:30ish, I received a call asking if I was coming and I again informed them I was on my way. 45 mins passed and I got a call. The person informed me he was the general manager and he wanted to know what my intentions were regarding the BMW. I told him that I placed a deposit and have been in my car for almost 3 hours driving to their dealership for a second time in 2 days so in my opinion that would appear it's a strong indication that I have very good intentions. I ended call cuz I needed to listen to the GPS as it was giving my directions as I approached the exit for the dealership. When I arrived, my eyes started scanning the parking lot looking for the car. I glanced through the dealership window and could see a few men standing around but no one came out to offer to assist me. I saw several BMWs sitting on the lot so I looked at them all but did not see the one I came to test drive. Puzzled, I walked in AP and my entrance initiated no verbal greeting however one walked out to assist a gentlemen who just pulled up and the other salesperson went over to his desk and buried his face in a pile of paperwork. My eyes came to rest on the car I saw online. It was still sitting on the showroom floor. I walked around giving it a thorough look over, it had swirls in paint but definitely a keeper. I gazed through the window at the interior and when I tried to open the door, the salesperson who I thought was buried in paperwork shouted out "Hey, do you need help with something?!" I replied, "Yes, I think this is the car I came to look at."He asked, "Are you Monica?" I replied "I am" and he replied "It's about time you got here! I've been waiting all day for you!" I requested a test drive and was denied. He told me it was their policy not allow customers to test drive showroom cars because they spend $800 on the detail however if I agreed to purchase, sit down with finance officer, let them run my credit for preapproval, I could test drive one of the other BMWs sitting on lot. I generally loathe the entire car buying experience, even though I have friends the business who generally help me out. It's often still a pain, however, AP Fairfax definitely set the standard for how all dealerships should be when working with customers. I recently purchased a Mercedes (my first nice car) from them, specifically Thomas Yong (who was and still is incredible). I'll have to walk through my experience for you to really get the feel of how abnormally great it was, but first, have to call out Thomas Yong, the product specialist I worked with. The guy has changed my mind about the car business. He has been frankly, a pleasure to work with. He did get me with some fees, -you got me :)- but again to be frank, I didn't spot them and haggle them down, and even my friends in the car business said "that's the business." Even still, the car was a fantastic price, and an overall great experience, and they bought my POS Jeep. My experience: First, I don't really ever write reviews, so take that for what it is. -I saw the car on line and requested a conversation -Thomas reached out ASAP (standard) and was courteous and thorough in his explanation. -I had to miss our first meeting, so we rescheduled for a week later. I was 30 minutes late due to traffic, their shop closes at 7, I got there at 6. He let me test drive the car, walked me through the features, then left me to check out the car by myself. (again, pretty standard). - Where things differ from the "norm:" Thomas is a just a genuinely awesome guy. I'm sure that works well for him in the sales came, but throughout this entire experience he has been one of the best people I've ever worked with. We went over some of the flaws of the car: Needed a SIM for the GPS, chip in the windshield, needed another key, etc. He assured me they'd take care of all of that. So, shop stayed open till around 830 to sell me the car (sure right, they want the sale). However, Thomas kept me updated on everything, we found an error or two, remediated that and I bought the car. - What's crazy and stands out, is that Thomas has been the one emailing me about the SIM card, plates and registration, window and key, etc. Just emailed me this morning as a matter of fact. Not only is he making the effort to stay on top of me getting what was promised, but every conversation is filled with positivity and is just what everyone hopes for when having to buy a new car. So, I am Director of Marketing and work with my own customer success team. I would hire Thomas in a second to come work at my company. If you are in need of a car, I highly recommend not only going to AP Fairfax, but requesting Thomas Yong specifically, as he has gone above and beyond. Bought the car a week ago, and I am still receiving emails from him. Best experience I've had to date. Great work AP Fairfax, and thanks again Thomas. He met me at my convenience to return some personal belongings left in my trade in vehicle and delivered my plates when they were ready. Cannot say enough great things about him. I would give them zero stars if I could. DONT BUY YOUR CAR HERE! Terrible customer service. We bought our 2013 X5 Jan of 2017 and 6 months later it started having several serious issues. We purchased the extended warranty and nothing was covered. We tried talked to management (Jimmy) and our sales representative Faheem but they could care less. At About 8 month mark we had a check engine light come on and basically found out the engine was bad and that we needed a new one ASAP. Again, not covered under the extended warranty. We didn't even have this car a year and it was one disaster after another. The actual BMW dealership even said this problem was there before we bought it. This company took zero responsibility and left us with a car that didn't run and still had a lot of money left to pay it off. Please please don't come here!!!! read more

Purchased a 2013 BMW in late November from AP Fairfax as an early Xmas gift for the wife. We visited 5 other dealerships prior to our purchase and we are pleased with the purchase as well as the purchase experience. Up to this point, the wife is happy with the vehicle. However, our customer service experience after the purchase has been disappointing to say the least. 95% of the time when calling our original POCs to discuss issues that require resolution on behalf of the dealership they are "in a meeting" or "not in at the moment" and do not return calls until a few days later. Two cases in point: 1. The vehicle was missing a hard copy of the owner's manual and the dealership provided paperwork acknowledging I was owed an owner's manual. When I checked on the status of the manual a couple of weeks later, was advised they are not responsible to provide such an item...Until I provided them the paperwork that showed they owed such a manual. I was advised the manual was available of pick up this week (39 days after purchase). 2. I was advised the license plates for the car were ready for pick-up (week prior to Xmas). Wife drove to the dealership to pick up the plates and somehow the plates were misplaced. I continued asking for a status on the plates after Xmas and New Year's only to get in a perpetual loop of "it's the holiday season and folks who work on that are in and out...will get back to you." Finally, was advised on 03 Jan that no one knows where the plates are located and they are missing (isn't there a person that oversees license plate chain of custody or tracking?). The dealership representative advised I needed to go to DMV (yes you read that right...I have to go to the DMV) to request replacement plates as they are unable to do so on my behalf. I asked if the dealership plans to re-reimburse me a portion of the titles/tags fee that I paid when I purchased the vehicle since it did not fill its obligation to provide me plates. I was advised I would not be reimbursed any portion of the fee. As such, I asked to speak to a manger and was advised "he is not in" (surprise!) and I would be called back...No calls have been received. As such, I now need to take a day off of work ($$ out of my pocket) to go stand in line at the DMV (always an awesomely joyful and refreshing experience) as a result of AP Fairfax's lack of sufficient customer service. I am hopeful my situation is the exception vice the rule; there are some really nice folks that work at AP Fairfax and the cars they sell are impressive. However, my customer service experience after purchase has been unexpectantly disappointing to say the least. read more

Excellent staff and the owner takes the time to start a new long term client relationship, very smooth process with an added bonus in the process directly from the owner. Would highly recommend this dealership. Only downside very limited in price negotiation, but the previous information on the owner and staff benefits in the long run. read more

I have been waiting almost 2 months to receive a title for a car Inpurchased from these folks. My advice is--don't trust them to deliver. If you can't walk out with title and registration, go somewhere else. read more
