When I realized the mistake, I politely asked if that item could be removed from the transaction. The cashier immediately responded, "I can't," and offered no explanation or attempt to help. A manager was called over and seemed visibly annoyed. We were told there were only two options: either void the entire transaction and wait approximately 20 minutes for the gift card funds to be restored, or pay the difference and then return the football cards afterward for store credit. Since there was no way I was spending an additional $63 on football cards, we chose to void the transaction and wait. We specifically discussed that it was Father's Day, that we needed to get to a family dinner, and that we would wait the required 20 minutes so my son could repurchase the correct items. The manager advised us to wait near the entrance or continue shopping. After the 20-minute wait, we spent another 15 minutes waiting for the same cashier to help us complete the purchase, only to discover that all of my son's items had been returned to the sales floor. We were then told, "You just left the items," despite the fact that we had clearly communicated our plan and followed the instructions we were given. What bothered me most was not the store policy itself, but the complete lack of customer service. There was no apology, no empathy, and no effort to make a frustrating situation easier--especially for a child trying to use birthday gift cards. The entire interaction felt dismissive and unnecessarily difficult. The saddest part was that my son left the store in tears instead of excited about his birthday gifts. What should have been a fun experience became a frustrating and upsetting one due to poor communication and a lack of basic customer service.

Unfortunately she had a large mass on her toe which prevented her from being able to walk without a boot, which after months leads to body pain throughout. Her poor foot and ankle always hurt, and swelled up real bad. She had pain throughout her body from the imbalance and reliance on crutches. I didn't think we could find a pair of hokas that would fit, and even better actually heal her feet. Then we came in and met Dan, the kindest most knowledgeable specialist we could have hoped for. He was patient and supportive at every step, through mama's laser measurements- which are amazing and they email them to you if requested. Then he began the work, we tried 4 great recommendations but alas none fit, all too tight around the ankle. But Dan wasn't done, he looked at the measurements and put in an order for a men's size in extra wide trusting it would fit- and if they didn't we could exchange within 30days. Two days ago, I had the pleasure of the rare and highly rewarding customer experience of being truly heard and highly valued. This is not to say I haven't enjoyed great customer service before but the level of customer service that I received from Myleisha Hendricks, the Asst. Manager of New Balance, Pasadena was masterful. I came into the shoe store hoping to receive insight on how to maximize my second pair of 1540s that I bought in November. I love its cushioning support which helps alleviate lower back pain but not how it would come loose 2-3 times during my nightly walk. I was pleasantly surprised that I did not need to purchase a new pair and/or orthotic inserts but simply ensure that I tie my shoes correctly! Thanks to Myleisha's expertise and patience; I now know how to tie my shoes with the runner's knot and have had two nights free of retying!!! I also learned how to evaluate my tread life and that I can probably get to another 4-6 months out of my shoes for a total of 10-12 months which makes my 1540's a great investment! Highly recommend this New Balance location and seeking Myleisha's expertise. read more

New Balance is a great athletic shoe & New Balance Pasadena is a great store.
