I found Ellen's Silkscreening online while looking for a business that did embroidery work. On a Sunday evening, I sent an email regarding my small project and I was contacted the next morning by AnnMarie. She asked what I was looking for and gave me information on their minimum order. I explained what I was hoping to do for a golf outing at the end of the month and when I would need them. I know I was pushing it because I arrived at my decision to do this quite late in the game. AnnMarie responded to my information and told me that the workload was such that they could not accommodate my request. She also told me that she even tried to move their schedule to accommodate me but that wasn't possible. My business (Regina's Music Studio) was expanding, and I was ready to have promotional materials made. Jan was courteous, polite, friendly, and helpful. Ellen's Silkscreening is a truly exceptional business and they totally saved the day for me. These folks just get it. I feel so fortunate to have stumbled upon them after being kicked around by several other silkscreening shops around town. My company was throwing a huge client appreciation event and we needed embroidered hats, custom blankets, and silk screened t-shirts. I assumed that all silk screening shops are basically the same and boy was I mistaken. Before finding Ellen's I tried working with 3 different shops. The issues I ran into were many -- embarrassing quality of workmanship, non-existent customer service, and frustrating miscommunications (just to name a few). With 3 days 'til the event I finally had to fire the different print shops I was working with because they were either giving me terrible samples (all of which I had to pay for) or stringing me along (e.g. "yes we can make the deadline...oh, wait, no we can't make it...actually, maybe we make it work, let me text somebody and get back to you...") I was ready to give up but thought I'd make one final attempt to see if somebody could put together a rush order for me. As soon as I called Ellen's I knew I was in for something different than the experience I had over the previous 6 weeks of dealing with the other shops. At Ellen's there was actually a friendly, professional front office person (Caitlin) who answered my phone call. She said that yes, they could, in fact, help me. She put me in contact with their head of production (Ann Marie) who explained that unlike most other shops, Ellen's does all of their work in-house rather than contracting it out so they can maintain extremely high quality and quick turnaround times. I went to their shop and met with Ann Marie and she offered to give me a tour of their facility and then introduced me to the whole team (WOW!) The rest of the story from here is all sunshine and rainbows. They completed my rush order with time to spare and with an outstanding level of quality. They communicated with me throughout the process. AND they charged me a very reasonable fee, which was less than I was quoted from the subpar shops I had previously dealt with. OH and here's the kicker....Ellen herself actually called me a few days after the order was filled to check up on me and make sure I was satisfied and had a good experience. Its cool that they can digital a logo/artwork to output it as embroidery. They also carry glassware, mugs, and pens. They embroider or silkscreen backpacks and sportswear. A friend recommended Ellen's Silkscreening to me for some shirts that I needed to get printed for a work conference. They completed the shirts and I went to pick them up. When I got there, I felt that they looked totally great, but I noticed- oh no, one of the words is misspelled!! It was our fault because the person who reviewed the proof did not notice the misspelling. It was a big problem because I was leaving for the conference in 2 days and had to take the shirts with me. Also, we are a non-profit organization and the idea of paying for a whole bunch of new shirts (IF they could even manage to do them in time) was daunting. Luckily, Ellen's Silkscreening came to my rescue! They thought of a great way to fix the misspelling on the shirts and it was barely noticeable (in fact, nobody outside our office even realized!). PLUS they finished the corrections on time for me to pick them up before leaving for the conference and they didn't charge us extra. WOW! Really amazing customer service. I was referred to Ellen's Silkscreening by a digital designer we were working with. We were looking for a custom gift for our employees and they came out with great options and samples for us to look at. We only had a photo of an old logo to work with and they were able to provide us with a applique sample that was perfect. We were looking for a retro style look and they nailed it!! They matched the coloring of our garments and had a turn around time that was a week ahead of our event. Very easy to reach with questions and they had suggestions that worked out great. Worked with us on the pricing so we were also able to have our current logo screened onto the garments as well. They were such a hit that we will continue to order more for our VIP customers! The staff has always guided me through the process, they keep a file of all my screens and have great suggestions on products.
