I had a very smooth experience here. From the start, they were incredibly helpful and attentive. I showed them a picture of what I wanted, and he guided me through everything, making helpful suggestions along the way. I really appreciated how thorough he was -- he even had me try on my coat to make sure the collar wouldn't block the embroidery placement. They texted me a little over a week later to let me know everything was done. I paid about $89 for two white coat embroideries (including name, degree, and specialty in 2 different fonts). When you're a procrastinator like me, the downsides are stress and impatience. The upsides? You find services and people who help make dreams come true when you're limited on time. Pasadena Embroidery and Silkscreening is one such place. Three days before my wedding, I decided to get a leather jacket and wanted it embroidered. Etsy might have been a better alternative, but this was definitely a last-second "want" in my life. I could have used vinyl and saved more money, but I didn't want that either. After calling 2-3 places and driving around Pasadena a bit, I called this place, and they said they could help me with my embroidery needs and would be able to do it in the time frame needed. It's important to note that this place is easy to miss, but if you have ever gone to In-N-Out in Pasadena and endured the long wait on the street, you may have overlooked this embroidery location tucked into the cul-de-sac behind the piano store (or whatever you want to call it). I was helped my Manny who looked at my jacket and talked with me about size, font, thread color, and placement. He gave me multiple suggestions, broke down the sizing, and even showed me what the design would look like on his computer. He also gave me different prices for rush ordering (based on when I would need it), and I bit the bullet. It probably would have costed me exponentially less if I hadn't waited, but nonetheless, this place made this pain-in-the-arse millennial's dreams come true for her wedding. Manny was kind, professional, and genuine, and the work that they did here was phenomenal. They also do more professional embroidery and other types of services for clothing and accessory designs which is awesome. I had 2 white coats I needed embroidered to start work the next week. They did such a great job! Really kind and honest, hardworking staff! I ordered through Jose. He was so nice! They ended up making a spelling error but I also made an error on the order as well so we needed to have it corrected. Ready to go, I was then told the cost would be $49!!! $3.26 per LETTER!!! When I reminded him that he quoted me $25 dollars to embroider my NAME, his response was "I didn't know you wanted your first AND last name." Total bait and switch BS. My boss needed 7 aprons that needed to be embroidered. She emailed me the design and asked me to find a local company to take care of it. I found this company and went in for a consultation. I gave them the aprons, and emailed them the design. We discussed a color scheme and settled on a price. I paid in advance because I felt confident in their work. I was offered to go back in a few days time and see a proof before they went ahead and embroidered on the actual aprons. I went in, saw the proof and gave the green light to go ahead and embroider on the actual aprons. From start to finish the project took a week. The work was done professionally well, the quality of work was exceptional, and the service was great. I recommend being prepared, giving yourself and them enough time, and having a budget in mind for your project. I was in need of putting some vinyl numbers heat pressed onto my blank reversible jerseys for league basketball. Found this business on yelp, inquired, and he was able to reply to me right away. Let me continue by stating that I am the type of guy who has needed shirts embroidered on more than one occasion. With that in mind, what happens when your regular guy isn't available? I needed a few shirts with a corporate logo embroidered and my usual embroidery guy was swamped with orders, so I made a number of phone calls and Pasadena Embroidery was not only willing to meet my unreasonable deadlines, but they offered the most agressive pricing in the area. You see, it can be both expensive and complicated to get shirts embroidered with a corporate logo as there is a digitization process where the shop has to prepare the logo for embroidery (from a print out). This is quite time consuming, with some shops quoting longer than a week just for the digitization and another week for the actual stitching. Pasadena Embroidery had the logo digitized with a proof done for me within two days and had the entire job done earlier than the had quoted (less than a week). I'd definitely come back...I left really impressed. Thanks. Came here to get my stockings embroidered for Christmas. I called before I came in to get a quote. I was quoted $12 per stocking and said they would be completed in about a week, which was too long for me. I asked how much it would be to rush it. They said each stocking would increase to $17 each and they would be ready the next day. They let me choose the font and color by showing you samples in front. I was actually a little unhappy with the final result. One of the names wasn't completely in the middle. I'm not sure if I'm just being nit-picky, and what's the worst thing was that I didn't completely notice until I got home. Long story short, the stockings are hung. However, if there is anything else I need to embroider, I will probably try to go somewhere else. read more

I'm going to shorten the story down for you, but to put a fine point on it: this shop will unethically rob you if given the chance. I was in a pinch to get a graduation sash done very quickly. My girlfriend went by this shop on a Monday morning with a very clear diagram of what we needed done and asked if it could be done by Friday. They told her yes, but that they would email me the quote on the price because they couldn't give it to her then for whatever reason and that there would be a rush charge. Fine. I get the quote Tuesday afternoon, with an inaccurate counter diagram made up and a price quote of $200. I know from my fraternity everyone is paying about $60. I call and get, essentially, "to bad so sad". I work during the week all day, so had to send me buddy to pick this up and take it to another shop in North Glendale where they were happy to do the sash for $75. This shop knew we were low on time. They held my sash at their shop for a full day before giving me their price, burning a day to go somewhere else when we were already rushed. They really did their best to scalp me when I needed a solid shop to get this done. Don't believe the 5 star reviews. With their ethics, I wouldn't be surprised if they were all faked/family writing them up. Go somewhere else, or potentially get screwed royally. read more

Tough to write this review since we have personally been using Pasadena Embroidery for over 15 years, not to mention any and all business or non-profit needs as well. Up until the past two visits, all the employees at the front desk have always been friendly, polite and professional. Not sure if there are new owners, management or what but today, sadly the service has been HORRIBLE. Every years I take in graduation items to be personalized, this year was no exception. The gentleman was not very friendly on the initial phone call. Enroute to drop the items off, he seemed indignant when I was not able to easy find the new location and called for assistance. Once at the shop, I also inquired about a custom patch. Jose showed me a few different sizes based on my description of my project. I mentioned I really liked the height of the sample patch but was not sure of the width so he advised that I call with the width. I called the same afternoon, gave the width and when he asked what height, I repeated that I liked the one he presented earlier to me. He said, "Okay, 1.5 inches?" I didn't measure the sample patch, I simply trusted him. Went to pick it up today, saw it, and asked if I could compare to the sample since the finished patched appeared not as high. He got defensive. compared and proceeded to state that I had given him the size and that he made it to my specifications. He was adamant that I had never requested the same size as samle and the "it was only off a little." He told me to take it home and call if it didn't work. I KNEW it wouldn't work with it in my had. He insisted that if it didn't work he would give me a deal on a new one! $18.00+tax for a 1.5" x 4" patch....which I can not use on the gift I was making. TERRIBLE customer service. I bought a hoodie to be customized for my boyfriend's bday present. Initially, I wanted to get it silk screened, but the cost for the plate was too expensive. I was told I could get something similar and would be a cheaper alternative. I wanted to have the city he lives in on the front of the hoodie (similar to Neighborhoodies style hoodie) and inquired on the price of having the words stitched instead. I was impressed it was so inexpensive. For the word inglewood to be stitched onto the front of the hoodie, separated by the zipper, it was less than $40. I bought the hoodie from Target. It took about a week and was ready as promised on the day I requested. It looks great and my honey loves it. Great place to go get a quick project done! They are open on Saturdays as well. Located among all the car repair shops on Walnut St, this family shop was friendly and got my 20 jerseys silk-screened in 6 days. Final product came out just as I had described to them.
