Never again! Not sure what happened to this place as I have been a customer for years. I love to give embroidered gifts. The guys here are no longer friendly. They seem hungry to squeeze the customer and not really care about quality any longer. Such a shame. You can see from these other one star reviews that I was not an anomaly. I wanted a 3 letter monogram on a dress shirt and drove over to the little house on the corner of Walnut that houses Pasadena Embroidery & Silkscreening. There's some dedicated parking spots in the back, but this is a very quiet part of Pasadena so even street parking wouldn't be an issue anyway. the different types of fonts are right in front of you on the counter when you walk in so choosing your favorite color and style is a breeze. The friendly guy in the store helped me with recommendations when I had a hard time selecting colors. I paid a reasonable $13 for my chosen monogram which is about an inch and a half tall. (they take cash only for such a small order), and picked it up 3 days later. I'm sure the turnaround would have been quicker during a normal week but I went there just before closing on Labor Day weekend. Pick- up was equally quick and painless and the monogram looks perfect. Over all, a great experience and the kind of swift service you wish every place would offer. I would go there again. read more

Jose was really great to work with, he got my order done the same day (I did pay the rush fee)... Turns out that it wasn't what my boss wanted as she changed her mind on the design... so I had him do it again and he was able to turn it around immediately, waive the additional rush and logo set up fee as well. I had some heavy canvas boat bags I needed to have personalized and have patches sewn on. I called one place, "We only personalize items you buy from us. Try (XYZ)." I called that place, same story, but they said try "Pasadena Embroidery". I called, they said, "Sure, bring them in, we'll take a look." I met with Carolina who was very helpful and patient with me as I tried to decide just the right font and color thread so the names would match the letters on the patch. She said come back in a couple days and look at the first one as a sample. I did and it was perfect. She got all the rest of them done by my deadline date and all were great. Small nondescript place with a decent amount of parking. I liked how clean it was inside. I went in to put a number on my hockey jersey. Although I know I could do it myself for $2, I wanted the job done right. I paid about $7 for a perfect job, and I was able to pick it up the next day, less than 24 hours. When a business starts with 4-5 stars and then starts dropping to solid 3 stars reviews, it should be a pretty fair warning that something is wrong. Against my better judgement, I called trying to get an estimate for some embroidery done. Without listening to what I wanted, I was told to "email us or come in the store" when I tried to ask a simple question of how much embroidering a name would be, I was told "I am very busy and don't have time to talk to you"... and he hung up on me. So if you want to be treated rudely and ignored, go here. Otherwise, go anywhere else... read more

They do great work there. I'm a repeat customer. They spend as much time as needed with a customer to get things right. The only down side is sometimes the wait can be long as a second or third customer. But I've figured out a system that works for me though. I usually create my draft of the design, measurements, details as best as can before I go in. From there they help greatly improve and refine it. It's just a little faster. If it's busy and looks to be a long wait, I'll drop it off and they usually call me promptly and we follow up and discuss the draft. They will also help you create your draft from scratch if that's what you need - there are so many options of design to choose from. Before they produce the physical product, they can email you a draft of what the finished product would look like so you can have them make any changes and customize until you get what you want. This saves me time by not having to drive back and forth if I do need a few minor refinements. read more

I wanted the,to do embroidery on my wedding dress but when I brought it I'm and showed them where I'd like the initials they let me know it was too difficult and he didn't want to risk snagging in the area. I had a very simple project, the straps on my hiking backpack were way too long and always got in the way. All I wanted was to have them loop back so they would be shorter and easier to pull. Manny gave me a very high Quote of $25 for the four straps I needed done. I asked about the price because I thought it was high and he assured me the price was set because of the "high quality" job they would do. I agreed and let them do their work. When I receive the pack today I was very disappointed. I asked for black thread since the straps were black, white thread was used instead (it really stands out), strike one. I had hand sewn one loop as a sample so they could understand what I wanted done, they never redid it! It's still my home done stitch! So now I paid them to do only 3 of the 4 straps, strike two! And the price, this should have been a $10 job, they only used a couple feet of thread. In my eyes the way over charged. Strike 3. I will never go back and highly recommend you look somewhere else first. I was not impressed. read more

unfortunately, i got a twill chair cover from ikea done here, with a big initial on it and a box around the letter. when i put it on the chair i thought, how odd, it seems off. Sure enough it was 1.5 inches off, uncentered, to the right. because i was in a rush i did not even bother complaining at the time, but measured it when i got home. sure enough, the tape measure doesnt lie. it was a huge disappointment to me. i did not want have to spend two hours going back to ikea to buy a new one plus two gallons of gas, with the possibility of it being out of stock, driving another 30 mins back and forth to the store on two separate occassions. not sure how tough it is to center a letter on a square back to a chair cover. sadly, disappointed. also when i first called the guy was really nice and said maybe they could do it immediately that day on the spot, when i got there they just were not that nice and said i had to wait four days. the person wanted to go to lunch...do you want my business or do you want your lunch? read more

The worst service, I walked into this place today and three employees were behind the counter and one guy says he will be right with me in a minute and never turned around had his back to me the whole time I was there and never once greeted me or said welcome to the store. After about 5 minutes standing there and seeing other employees come up to the counter not once did they say can we help you or even say have you been helped yet do you want to order something nothing... Fellow employees just keep working and paying no attention to me as a customer. The wait is ridiculous and the people are rude. Just the worse service and there is no way I'd ever go back to this place. I do not recommend this location if your looking for Embroidery or Silk Screening go somewhere else. What's funny is I was the only one in the store. No one is friendly or smiling at this place of business - PLACE IS A JOKE! (Beware) read more
