Read the comments. Customer service is crap here. Always has been but been getting worse over the years. They all work on that commission so they don't give a f$:k about you and your needs. They are not helping you they are helping themselves. Everyone in this joint has a snotty abrasive attitude. As soon as you put in those shoes to try on and make a $200 decision you better know in that second if those are the right shoes for you. I'm a superfan of the classic NB 574s but also Repettos and Havianas so my flat feet are walking into surgery next month. The podiatrist prescribed arch support shoes to replace all the lovely hand made French ballet-style slippers that wrecked me the last 30 years. So here I am at one of the last free-standing brick and mortar New Balance stores left in L.A. checking out the Fresh Foams. Fuuuugly. What do women enjoy when they're shopping? Unasked for medical advice about their feet from a male salesperson. There was no M.D. after his name though that did not prevent detailed, high-volume... mansplaining. The last straw was no customer restroom access. Luckily my ACTUAL doctor had provided a list of stores nearby that carry a variety of equally unbeautiful stability shoes she recommends, Run With Us about 1.5 miles away. I've joined the clunky, comfy Hoka juggernaut. At least they are French made. read more

As always, Renne the assistant manager gave outstanding advice and service. We've been coming here over 10 years and Renne has been consistently great. Having wide feet is always a problem with finding shoes. Unfortunately, they have limited shoes in 4E width in the store. Renne checked online for the shoe we needed and ordered it to be shipped to us. Free shipping. We love the New Balance brand and that it's made in the USA. A huge shout out to Chad for his excellent customer service, knowledge, and kindness! This was our first time shopping at this store, we learned New balance does it right! Upon arrival, I noticed the sign indicating a salesperson will be with me, and to wait outside under the canopy. Once one enters the store, there's required hand sanitizer use. Only a certain number of shoppers are allowed inside at a time. Feet are measured and evaluated on a platform which transmits info to a tablet for the salesperson that's working with you. Information obtained was surprisingly accurate. Was amazed at the variety of available shoes as well as the price ranges. Shoes are neatly displayed and Chad was able to suggest shoes based on the anatomy of my feet. He was so patient and helpful when answering all of my questions. Parking is free in the adjacent lot. Great place to get shoes and insoles to support your feet. My wife just had a diagnose of neuroma condition. The doctor recommended to come to this store for an insole and a shoe. This store has very highly tech equipment that would help you to measure the exact fitting of your feet. My wife got a 3D view of her feet on a platform and was fitted with a right sole to correct her feet condition. With the computer rendering of fitting, the sales person was able to bring a few recommendations for shoes to go along with the insoles. After wearing those shoes, my wife felt the pain in her feet went away. Those high tech gadgets worked wonders. They do have a lot of shoes and athletic apparels here for the New Balance brand. And I believe running shoes are very good as I was walking around browsing the displays while my wife was fitting her shoes. The store allows only a couple of people in the store at a time and placed many covid safety measures. They do clean the machines between customers for fitting. The parking lot is huge. We have always loved this store but I never took the time to review it. We love our NB running shoes and I personally use their custom orthotics as well (all the previous podiatrist-prescribed orthotics I've had have been painful). The staff is very friendly and helpful and they've taken a lot of precautions to keep the store clean and safe during this pandemic. They ask you to wait outside until someone calls you in. They close in the middle of the day for cleaning. They mark seats that have just been used so as not to seat another customer there until they've been disinfected. They ask that you don't touch anything on display. They ask that you WEAR A FACEMASK! I felt very comfortable being there to get new shoes for my kiddos. Oh, and they have their own little parking lot which is a plus! Yay for convenience! read more

I give this place 2 stars because not only did it take some time to finally acknowledge us when we were 1 of 2 customers in the store, but 2 stars because they finally DID. No can we help you, we'll be right with you at all. I guess the store was just that busy. Maybe 5 minutes later we were approached. Anyhow, when the size was finally asked for, men's size at that (two girls present) the shoes were handed over and that was that. It was not until my sister walked over to the register when they realized we still needed help. Could have just walked out and they probably would not have followed us. The experience in this store, in an area like this seemed very peculiar and extremely lacking to say the least. I walked in and walked through essentially the entire shoe section and tried on several pairs of shoes before someone asked me if I needed help. Went to a podiatrist and was recommended to go to the good feet store or new balance. Needed insoles because the pain was traveling from my feet to my ankles, knees and lower back. As I was looking for locations for the hood feet store I noticed really horrible reviews and decided instead to take a shot with new balance. Glad I did. Walked in and ordered custom in soles with Jeff. He was great! Was able to get them within a few days and my whole lower body is already feeling better. Highly recommend this place for custom insoles because on top of it working it was very affordable compared to other prices I've seen. read more

Came here to get my son's feet sized and get some shoes. He has extra wide feet and we have a hard time finding shoes that fit! It was a little busy when we got there but we didn't have to wait long. They were patient and very nice to my special needs son. I wish I got the name of the salesman... because he was very helpful with the questions I had. Walked in today and no one greeted me. Ok, no big deal. As I found the shoe I wanted on display I thought someone would have said we'll be right with you, but nope. I waited for 15 minutes studying the shoe, that finally I asked a rep who seemed to not have a customer anymore a question about the color etc, but she seemed annoyed and not attentive. Came to the store with my boyfriend to see if they had the 993's in my size. Not so much as a welcome when we walked in. No one came to ask if we were interested in trying on any size shoe we were looking at. When we did ask for help, the worker didn't even tell us the size we wanted was out of stock, he just proceeded to put away the display shoe and walk away. Keep in mind, the store was completely empty except for another couple shopping and there were three workers just standing around. It felt like pulling teeth trying to get some kind of help at that store. Just the abysmal customer service experience made us leave completely dissastisfied. read more

I thought I knew what I wanted/needed but then Jonathan scanned my feet, saw my severe pronation, and recommended the perfect shoes. It turns out that I wasn't even wearing the right size!
