I've been going to Nails and You every 2 weeks for a little over 3 years now and I cannot rave enough about them. After 78+ plus visits I have to say that I've NEVER had a bad experience! Kim, the manager, always does my nails (even though I rarely make an appointment, she always fits me in with a minimum of wait) and Cindy, her sister, always does my pedicures (though on rare occasions others do my pedicures and it's always been a perfect job). They are both accomplished, amusing and charming women and I thoroughly enjoy just being near them (as they herd me around - our little joke *grins*). I have to give them credit, though I tend not to make appointments, when I am in a rush, they will work together and do the manicures and pedicures at the same time to hurry me along - having to stand to do this work cannot be easy! The salon is neat, clean and the tools are all up to date, they often experiment with new products and supplies and will steer people away from things that they don't think might work for that particular person. The chairs are comfy and the massagers are divine. I am always offered water or wine, if I choose it, and the atmosphere is always welcoming and happy. I have brought several customers in and they are all pleased by the experience as well. I tend to want "different" sort of nails...those not often worn by others. My significant other often requests certain things and if they don't happen to have a particular color or pattern Kim will go out of her way to make sure it's there the next time I visit. She laughingly tells people that "she does nails by order!" When I have specific designs done, the toes are always done to match the hands (I'm wearing "zebra" nails this time and they look outre and classy all at the same time...perfect!). The workmanship is outstanding. Though I am very hard on my hands I RARELY break a nail, the pedicures last the full 2 weeks even though I am a barefooter often and swim every day. On the rare occasion that I mess up a nail (hand or foot) all I have to do is show up and show them the "oops" and they always fix it for free! They all take great pride in their work and it shows. I've had my eyebrows waxed (lovely job), parafin treatments on my hands and feet (try it, it's amazing!), pedicures to die for, manicures that go beyond the pale. Every single thing they have ever done for me has been with a high degree of skill and proficiency. I cannot really comment on cost or speed, because I so often have things done that are a bit more time consuming than the average person and I probably pay a hair more because of that, but I feel like the value of what I receive is more than fair. I've been doing the mani/pedi thing for many, MANY years now and I have to say this is one of the most positive experiences I've ever had. The welcoming nature (to kids, women young and old and even guys) is lovely and enthusiastic and the ladies that work in the shop are without exception pleasant and always smiling as if they actually like their job. There is never a feeling of eletism, though I am always treated like royalty. How refreshing. I look forward to every visit...and always leave feeling like a million dollars, though I don't have to spend a king's ransom to get there! My daughter and I came to the nail bar for manicures and pedicures to enjoy the day and boy, what a nightmare. My daughter's pedicure is embarrassing and sloppy. The tech painted each toe in different variants of bad. Some toes have a tiny brush stroke of sideways polish, others have paint on half the nail, it's astonishing. The tech didn't file her nails straight and they are jagged. My pedicure was bad--the polish didn't match my nails and resembles a traffic cone. Perhaps that's now considered a shade of pink? The tech kept my feet out of the water for 90% of the service to, "paint my nails first." When she put my feet in the water it was ice cold. I asked her to heat the water up and she just told me to take my feet back out! The massage consisted of her squeezing my Achilles heel to the point of pain, and gliding her hands on my legs. There was no massage. The new owner, Lai, did my nails. He's so wracked with anxiety about how the nail techs are working, he doesn't pay attention to his own services. In his inattentive state, he didn't focus on how many layers of dip powder were applied on each hand and ultimately managed to give me two hands with different shades of dip! My right hand is sheer and the left is opaque. My daughter's manicure was also poor. Again, there was no cuticle attention and the polish is sloppy and inconsistent. I talked to Lai and told him how disappointed we were and that I wanted a refund. He refused and the only offer he made was the redo the color after mentioning it was an easy fix. It would have also been easy to pay attention and get these right to begin with--there's no way I trust them to get it right a second time after a service like this. After hours of back and forth he agreed to, "absorb a refund for my nails," but he never sent it. I told him I will filing with my bank for a chargeback and leaving a review. After four years, we won't be coming back under Lai's management. He made disparaging comments about customers who walked in as well as about his techs as they worked. I would be very wary of anyone interested in coming here. You're at risk for health related matters because they're not sanitising tools between customers and the service is horrendous. read more

If I could give this place ZERO STARS I WOULD! I take getting my nail ever seriously. I love for them to look perfect. It's my first time at Nail Bar, will be my last time here as well. I have serval reasons why this is a bad place to get your nails done at. 1. I came in to get a full set done with gel shellac. It TOOK 30 MINUTES!! 30 MINUTES!!!!!! For a gel shellac any nail salon it shouldn't take them 30 MINUTES. 2. I'd like to say only a couple of my nails are not the shape I wanted but all 10 ten of my nails aren't even near the shape I wanted. 3. There is black spots and air bubbles in the polish applied on my nails. You can even see the shellac threw the polish she applied on my nails. 4. When I walked in NO BODY greeted me, I even had a appointment scheduled to get my nails done. When I told them my name they were just dumb founded like they didn't understand. I'm not trying to make a big deal about this, no body should be a loud to do nails if they 1. don't know how to shape a nail correctly 2. Apply polish 3. Apply gel, have it look smooth instead of feeling like a dirt road. How I said first and last time coming to this place ever in my entire life. read more

This is the very worst nail salon I have ever visited. It is dirty - everything from the counters to the water in the basins. We made a 12:30 appt. only to have technicians get to us at 1:00 - and then proceed slowly. The first one that came over spilled the basin water all over my shoes - and barely muttered an apology. The worst thing: my mom got 2 acrylic toenails on her big toes, they only painted the rest of the toes, their service took TWO AND A HALF hours -- and they charged her full price. The manager was completely unresponsive when I called back - and told me that we had only spent $150 in addition to my mom's service (!!). I will never be back. Please save yourself the horror of this place. read more

I contracted a toenail fungal infection from this salon. This is the only nail salon I have visited in the past year. My toenails are yellow and disgusting. I have never seen them open new tools ever while I was at their spa. Their tubs, tools and polish are all tainted with fungus. Go elsewhere and save yourself the trauma and $$$ spent resolving a difficult infection that requires THREE MONTHS of terbinafine and $1000+ to laser the infection away. Minh: You need to take your customer's safety seriously. Shame on you and your business for putting your clients at risk and shame on you for denying it. I love the Nail Bar they have just remodeled and it it beautiful. Service is amazing and the staff is friendly and great. They do a best job. I've been going here for at least 6 months. It's a great place. The best pedicure ever and the nail techs are awesome. I get dipped nails. Because my nails are weak from years of acrylic, I get 3 coats and they don't break. If you ever have a problem, just let them know and they will fix it. read more

Worst experience ever and will NEVER be back. Cut my cuticle 3 times and had to repaint my nails because the nail polish was pulling back. Thought the owner would do the right thing and NOPE, he'd rather take his quick cash then have a repeat customer. NEVER coming back to this place ever. read more
