I understand busy salons can fall behind at times, but I left today feeling concerned about the overall sanitation and cleanliness of the salon. *I was handed a lap pillow (to prop my phone) that had visible stains, nail dust, along with a towel with the same. My chair and station had a layer of nail dust which I wiped off. *During the service, gloves were worn but not changed after handling shared items like appointment books, pens, and trash. *Tools were unsealed, not individually wrapped, and moved along to the next service. *General upkeep around the pedicure area, including the garbage can, appeared overdue for cleaning. I called ahead asked how long the wait was for 2 pedicures. I arrived not even 10 minutes later. We arrived and they sat us pretty quickly. They started on my husband right away I was still waiting for a lady to finish up on another guest. No biggie!! They finally started on my feet. I felt rushed and shorted on service I got the $42 pedicures which included basic polish soak and a scrub. The lady that was working on my husband started saying happy Friday and she would clip and file his nails for free. Then she did mine also. She then she checked me out as lady was applying the polish my toes. Said my husband's was $42 I was $47 since I got gel polish but I know damn well I didn't. I let just nodded and let her. If I got gel then I should have got that I've light to cure my nails but I didn't and she just slipped in those disposable shoes and helped me out the chair... Watch them they try to over charge for stuff if you go at the end of day. read more

I had the longest day ever and needed to be pampered a little! I came i'm about 2 hours before close and they squeezed me in and took such good care of me! The pedicure was slow and she took her time which I appreciated because it was relaxing and didn't feel rushed. The nails were a bit pricey, more than I normally pay but JESSE did such a wonderful job and I could tell she was exhausted and she still gave 110% which I just appreciated so much because I know it can be a draining and exhausting job after working all day. They were kind and attentive. They also offer wine and champagne which I love! The girl at the receptionist desk was the sweetest and happiest girl and you could really tell they all enjoy working together and it's nice to be in an environment like that! I don't think they're used to doing more trendy nails, because they were surprised by what I wanted and they did charge a lot more than I usually pay for something like this BUT i'm still giving 5 stars because my nails are exactly what I wanted, they look/feel so good and the salon had a great energy to it even at the end of the day! If you want something that is trendy and more detailed like what you're seeing all over instagram and Pinterest these days... i'd say they'd do a great job but it is going to cost you. Giving 3 stars bc the staff is incredibly nice. So nice it makes me sad that I won't be back. I'm not sure if I've just been very unlucky, but all three times I've gotten dip there, my nails crumbled within a couple days. Twice the color was very different from the swatch. I'm not sure if it was cheap or expired product causing these issues. After the second fail I vowed not to go back, but it is the closest salon to me and I was in a pinch one day, I thought for sure it couldn't happen a third time - sure enough chipping started the very next day. The salon itself is no frills, but the staff are just really really nice, accommodating and funny. read more

I received the SNS dip nails without the tips, and brought a photo for Christmas as inspiration and they went above and beyond! It's convenient to SW Austin, the staff are friendly, and the prices are fair. I don't have huge requirements for nail services; I usually go for a cuticle cleanup with standard polish, upgraded for skin treatments and relaxation, and they do provide that well. It's a basic no-frills kind of place, which is my style. Where they lose points for me, and this is one of my big requirements, is on cleanliness. The place doesn't feel sparkling clean, but I was really disappointed to see that they reuse files and sanding blocks on multiple clients, and completely grossed out to see someone else's nail trimmings on the towel underneath the implements. This was my first visit there, and it could have been an anomaly, but that's a pretty big oversight and frankly, a health hazard. My tech did a great job otherwise and they seem to have a lot of regulars, so I may try again with someone else. read more

Well, I really wanted to love this place. The people are super friendly. Great massage chairs for pedicures. BUT- the pedicure itself was blah. No real massage, only exfoliating and toes done. S-n-S Manicure: I wanted a specific "jelly" color and she was able to create the look exactly like I wanted. But she immediately came over to do it while I was getting the pedicure. It made it hard and awkward for me to balance on pillows and try to relax. While I was there I noticed the staff kept trying to "up sale" more extras onto what the customer asked for...including me. read more

I live in the area and have been coming to this establishment almost 4 years now. I will say...the staff is friendly, and the nail shape I walk out with is usually exactly how I want it. However I had to write this review due to a concern for hygiene and the cleanliness of this place. Today as I got my pedicure a woman worked on me and the man next to me going in between pedicures. She used the same nail file that she had used on my toenails in him. I realized after that this file had been used on customers before me, and the woman had not disposed of it after using it on customers toenails. And mind you, our toes were not sanitized or sprayed with alcohol before she started filing with this used file. I can't even imagine how many other peoples feet this file had been on. She used the same foot pumice she used on me on him- and all she did to sanitize it was take it to the sink where she rinsed it for maybeeeeee 10 seconds (that's being generous) brought it back and then proceeded to use it on the man next to me. 10 seconds is not long enough to kill any bacteria on a foot pumice being used on almost every customer getting a pedicure. Not only this but as the woman went back and forth from my pedicure to the man next to me she wore gloves on her hands that she did not take off or sanitize in between scraping the gunk from his toenails and coming back to try and give me my leg massage. I hope the owner sees this review and has a meeting with their staff because what I witnessed today was shocking and unfortunately changed my mind as a longtime customer. The safety is lacking and there are major heath code violations go on. I won't be coming back unfortunately and I hope this establishment learns from this and changes. Disposable nail files and disposable pumices. Porous pumices can never be fully sanitized and especially not by a 10 second rinse. Also if you are going to work on two customers at the same time do so in a healthy way the prevents spreading bacteria and germs! read more

Always able to book an appointment for a mani and pedi! The owner Elaine always welcomes me and ensures my comfort by asking what I would like to drink and escorts me to my spot. My regular nail tech is KC as she's highly detailed and always takes her time to make my nails look perfect. She thoroughly cleans my nail beds before so when they grow out it looks very neat. I've gone to her many times for both gel and SNS. I attached pictures of my nails with SNS & gel below. I like gel but if I'm going on vacation I do SNS since it has literally lasted me 3 weeks before. read more

Speaking on my moms behalf she went in and experienced RACISM in this day and age, they refused to do her nails after she showed them a picture and got sat down because she didn't speak english then after almost an hour got told that they didn't have time to do her nails. I got my nails and toes done a few days ago, during my appointment I asked for a gel color to match my hands an feet they could not find it but gave me a color that almost matched. I decided to choose a completely different color on my hands for lack of the technicians communication with me and uninterested attitude in giving me any kind of greeting or engagement the entire appointment. I think she was new because my nails are different shapes, gel was not properly applied, repairs were lumpy and my cuticles were not cut among other steps the technician skipped. I recently had out of town guest and I warned them not to go however after seeing D'Zire nails handy work they didn't need much convincing. I'm very annoyed at this nail salons services. read more

I am happier with my services I received today than I have been at my old salon back in Seattle! Every employee was hardworking and so friendly to every customer that walked in the door. I called morning of to make an appointment about 30 minutes ahead and they were happy to accommodate me for both a shellac mani and a pedi. I arrived and was instantly helped. My pedicure was great. The woman helping me was so sweet. My mani is AWESOME and so fast! I was in and out in about and hour. I can't wait to come back in two weeks. After going to another salon in the Austin area (and having a terrible experience), stumbled upon this place due to yelp. nice and clean salon, plenty of people working and everyone is really friendly. i called ahead and sat right down. got the SNS ($40) and Elaine did an excellent job and even trimmed my cuticles. I will definitely be going back! Had my first pedicure there and WOW IT WAS AMAZING. I opted for the more expensive pedicure as I was having a rough day. 2 complimentary glasses of wine later and an amazing hour + long pedicure/ massage, all my worries for the day were gone. After years of searching for a nail tech in Austin, I've finally found Nhu at D'Zire. The salon is clean, the equipment is sanitary and the staff is friendly. I was greeting by Nhu upon entering and offered me a drink, including options like mimosas, tea and infused water. I got a manicure and pedicure service with a buff. Way to set the nail standard. Came in for a manicure and pedicure. My pedicure was the relax one off of the menu (highest prices pedicure) which includes the paraffin wax for your feet as well as scrub and the callous removal. I was impressed with KC who took care of my feet. Her massages are well done and she isn't just rubbing. Her massages make my feet less sore and she really knows where to dig in the muscle. Felt amazing. For my manicure, Tina took care of my dip. I got my nails dipped and let me tell you something.... her work is meticulous. She shaped them so perfect and was very detailed with her work. She took her time in perfecting my nails and I cannot wait to show them off now. I wanted the natural look and she gave me exactly what I asked for. This salon is wonderful and the music is relaxing. The massage chairs are extremely comfortable and they can give a great back massage! I think it would be great if they offered an active duty military discount! Will recommend to all of my peers.
