Went in as a walk in for a gel mani. Mindy did the manicure. She rubbed the coarse nail file on the skin on each side of my nails and literally made raw spots. She cut every single one of my fingers with the cuticle clippers. The entire manicure was painful and I flinched multiple times but she kept going. I had been there two weeks earlier and had a great experience with a different lady but I would not allow Mindy to ever touch my hands again. Now I literally have to let my cuticles heal before I can think of getting another manicure somewhere else. read more

Very unhappy with my experience at this salon and the work that was done on my toes today. The place was covered in flies which was unpleasant to sit through. My poor technician was constantly swatting them from her face. Employees were sleeping out in the open, which was odd. The technician doing my nails didn't understand me. I asked her twice if she could use the razor on my calluses. She said yes, though it was clear she wasn't following and it never happened. My calluses were never removed. The technician also had really shaky hands. And toward the end she cleaned up all of the mistakes by filing down my skin and/or cutting off the skin with clippers to remove it. It was a painful experience, and I'm unhappy with the results. I personally will not be coming back and wish I would have said something while I was there. :( read more

Outstanding services, especially Trinity and Dee (who did my fiancé's first pedicure. I for almost the past year I've been a client have been so pleased with the skilled service Trinity provides. I have turned down free pedicures and regifted gift certificates, Trinity knows what I want and need, remembers my preferred shaping style, has helped me select some much complimented colors (one she even hand mixed to match my summer outfits​. I'm loyal to a talented technician and will drive a good distance to continue receiving the quality service. I went to my previous technician more than four years and before her fourteen with at another salon. I'm very particular and I always feel so pampered, treated like a VIP and known when I go my pedicure appointment. Always there is a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and you're treated as if you are the priority. I convinced my fiancé to have a pedicure done, especially since he offered to drive me as it was getting dark. He was a little apprehensive and was going to wait in the truck. I coaxed him into the lobby then to the back to sit with me. He took one look at the basin of hot bubbly water and was interested. I got him to agree and arranged for a deluxe pedicure with massage, scented water and lotion plus a paraffin dip. He regularly takes good care of his feet and they're very nice but a pedicure takes it to a whole other level. He was embarrassed at some callouses but the tech motioned and said it was nothing​​, she'd smooth it down as much as possible and his continued at home care would start making the results last longer. Plus, the mimosas they served, the fun banter and chatter and another guy walking in with his wife and said it was the best addictive habit he's ever had and this was the place for top notch treatment. Both men agreed they'd be coming back again and again. As well, it's just feels amazing. I felt bad later because Dee offered him a choice of colors and in my playful sarcasm turns out he would have liked to ​go give Dee's suggestion a try. Next time for sure. Everyone there makes you feel at home, appreciated as a client and even know they each have time restrictions I've never felt rushed, just incredibly relaxed. It looks like the service fees have gone up a little but the owner often offers incentives, freebies and discounts. And I think there is some validity to the old adage "you get what you pay for", cheap service rarely the best quality overall, I've paid considerable money and tip only to have gel color flake off in a few days! I occasionally get regular polish with matching base coat and quick dry top coat from my own stash. I had it on SIX WEEKS, I'd gotten sick and couldn't get over there. Trinity very particular on the drying or curing at each stage and that the product is applied properly. The only way you could tell a fresh pedicure was needed was the growth line. Other, still complete coverage, shine and neat shaping. I, well now its WE, won't go elsewhere and are really looking forward to our next visit. ​ P.S. MANY couples, singles (men, too) use the services at Venice. Good looking, healthy feet are attractive and feel better, at least in general to me. Best place in San Marcos, Kyle, Buda and South Austin hands down - er, "toes down", lol. read more

I came in to get a dip manicure after having gone to another place for the two manicures before this. Right off the bat, I noticed that the manicure stations weren't very clean or tidy. The nail tech that did my nails criticized wherever I had been last and said that my last manicure hadn't been done right, so I expected my nails to come out a lot better this time - absolutely not. She filed down the edge of my nails so much that there was no longer a "seal" on the manicure and my nails chipped the very next day. After a week, every nail on my left hand is chipped and two of my natural nails are broken so badly that I will have to cut down all of my nails when I have this removed. The nails were poorly done and rushed, and when it came time for the initial to be done on both mine and my boyfriends nail, the person doing them did not let us make adjustments, put the clear coat on, and quite literally ran out the door. My finger looks like it has a red smudge on it instead of an initial, and my boyfriend's looks cartoonish and off-center. I've been here twice now for SNS and had 2 different nail techs. My 1st experience was so-so and my 2nd one great. If my 1st was only okay, then why would I go back? Based on reviews I wanted to see Trina and she wasn't available. I made an appointment anyway and saw Alina. She was okay, but too rough with my natural nails and she answers the phone and takes payments so there were constant interruptions! All this to say Trina was wonderful. She did a fabulous job with SNS on my natural nails. She was careful, focused, gentle and detail oriented. She is friendly and again, focused. Each nail was smooth from cuticle to end and on the sides! No rough edges. She made absolutely sure my nails were the shape I wanted. She shaped one nail and showed me, when I hesitated and told her it was fine, she asked if I were sure and then offered to shape it differently. You'd think making sure it was what you wanted would be standard. But it is not. I'm new to Buda and am used to living in a big city- Houston- where you have your choice of many high quality pro nail salons. Even the salons and Austin are very hit and miss. I'm happy to have found Venice and Trina! I'll post an update after I go for a pedicure. read more
