I understand some people come into the nail salon to have the "professionals" tell them what is best, but I came in knowing exactly what I wanted down to the color, shape, and length. Both technicians who did my mani and pedi tried to talk me out of what I wanted (mind you all I wanted was baby pink for both my mani and pedi, tips and square shape on my fingers, and round shape on my toes). Despite my extremely basic request, both techs tried to talk me out of my color, addition of tips, and shape. Plus there was no logic to back up any "expertise". No, this was just them imposing their unwanted, distasteful opinion. It is exhausting trying to fight them every step of the way. Getting your nails done is a luxury, especially for me (a broke college kid), and paying premium pricing for a stressful experience that doesn't even execute your (basic/ non-complicated) vision is so disheartening. Sunday pedi turned mani pedi visit. I phoned the salon just before my arrival and asked if they had the time for a pedi. I'm not sure who I spoke to but they were kind and said they could see me. When I arrived I was greeted and asked if I had an appointment. They expected me and had a spot ready for me. Tao did my pedi and was sweet and had great attention to detail. Super pleased with my pedi. I arrived pretty late in the day - 1.5 close to closing. Tao asked if I wanted a mani and I told her I didn't feel comfortable with asking for one being it was getting close to close time. She insisted there was time and had someone start on my mani while she finished my pedi. ** I LOVE when a salon multi tasks. *** Lynn started working on my mani and gave me exactly what I wanted. I'm pleased with the quality and time that it took to get my pedi turned mani pedi. I recommend this salon because of its service and quality. I'll say it's not appealing to the eye because the salon is this bright yellow color and the chairs could use some TLC but over all a good experience. read more

At 6:40pm they finally started to soak off my nails. By that point I was so upset I said I just wanted them to take off the nails and I was going to leave. I asked for square French tip acrylic toe nails and they made them round , I ask her to fix it before I left and she didn't fix it , and all my nails are different shapes she did my first two toe nails square how I asked and did the other 3 round and they have a big clumps on them . I came to Pearl to get my nails done. the shape was completely wrong, all of my nails were completely lopsided and uneven. I was then charged $110 for this service when I was unhappy, and had never been charged that much for my nails. I returned the next day because one nail broke off and I requested the shape back then asked about why it was so much. I was then informed Tao the nail tech added her tip on top of my charge without my consent and did not mention anything to me. 4 days later another nail broke off(I don't work a heavy duty job or anything) I came in to get the nail fixed and request a refund. The manager was extremely rude and said the policy states no fixes after 4 days and no refunds. The policy clearly states no fixes after 7 days, and there is nothing about refunds. The manager was extremely rude, demeaning and aggressive. We approached the situation calmly. Will not be going back, awful experience. read more

I have been to pearl nails and spa so many times, I try and go to other nail salons in between to see if there's anyone better but there isn't! The nails are always so durable and long lasting, I work in the food service industry and handling glasses and food is totally fine with the nails. (Which are decently long) im very nit picky about my eyebrows and I love Lena's work, she's the only lady I ever let touch my eyebrows, her work is amazing. The environment in the salon is always so friendly, they have tvs playing softly, offer drinks, massage chairs and fans. All of the employees work so hard and are so respectful. Honestly the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. My appointment was at 10 (they didn't start on me until almost 11) and a lady who came in at 10:30 for a 10:30 appointment complained and they started on her before me. The girl rushed so freaking fast through my pedicure and here we are 2 days after my appointment, and I have an infected toe and an ingrown nail from her cutting the side of my toe nail. I've had my nails done every month for the last several years and never had this issue. As she was using her tools she literally just threw them on her cart and moved onto the next person. In less than 24 hours, the gel began to peel off. I called & they said I should come in & they'd fix it. But I was pressed for time since the wedding was out of state. By day 4, all the gel had peeled off. I ended up going back to my usual nail shop since they always get the job done on time & correctly. I was trying to find a nail shop closer to me but I suppose I shouldn't fix a good thing? Even though it's a bit further out. I will not ever go back to this salon. I just moved to the area and thought to give it a try and boy was I disappointed. My normal salon takes a max 45 minutes to do my nails. This salon took more than 2 hours for a simple red nail. The lady filed my nails for almost an hour. No cuticle treatment even, just filed. She filed so much my cuticles started to bleed! I got them done and she told me next time get gel your nails are too short... then she started to paint on top of the dip with nail polish when i left they looked horrible they were really thick and all bumpy and just looked ugly. I have been getting dip nails for about 2 years now get the same thing every time never had someone tell me my nails are too short for dip and then paint on top of them with nail polish. Never going back! Actually found that I had blisters on my feet after one of the very worst pedicures! I lost count of how many times I said ouch when she was doing my feet. I tried the whole dip nails thing at my first visit because it was supposed to make my nails healthier. Did one fill and decided that I didn't like it and asked to have it removed. There is still residue on my nails and can see where my nails grew out! Horrible! If I knew where to make a complaint, I would!
