I have been coming here for 10 years and I will not go anywhere else in Austin for a pedicure or Gel Manicure. The ONLY person I trust is Anna! She is so kind and caring and is the most detail oriented manicurist I have encountered. I have a condition on the bottom of my foot that causes intense pain when pressure is applied to that area. Anna is extremely gentle but effective at taking care of my needs and takes her time with me. I typically ask for her directly and make an appointment to ensure she is available because she is that good. The salon is always clean and I like that they use a plastic cover in the bowl and sanitize all supplies before doing any services. Her husband also comes in with her to assist her and they are the sweetest couple . Definitely ask for her and you won't be disappointed! read more

The tech who did my pedi must have been new. She was slow and methodical (no complaint there; I wasn't in a rush) but once my feet and toes were prepped, the final step--polish-- was very sloppy and did not last long. I would give them a second chance, as I have friends who love it, but that, unfortunately, was not my experience. read more

I go to this establishment because it's near my house. I've been going to different people there because it's usually a spur the moment idea on my part. I only get pedicures. One time I randomly got the only man I have seen there and had to go to the podiatrist because I was so worried after because both my big toenails turned purple. My Doctor said they were just badly bruised and not to worry about it. Last week I went in and another woman worked on me. I am so worried now as I am out of town and big toes are very inflamed. I was willing to let the first bad pedicure go, but the second bad one has pushed me to writing this review. I will say a month ago I had a woman work on me and her name is Lily and she was fabulous! The reason I'm not giving one star is because everybody is very friendly. read more

I frequent nail salons across the state of Texas and Ten Nails ranks top of the list. Each and every nail technician is well spoken, polite, friendly and truly give the best possible service. The walls are beautifully decorated and the employees provide exceptional care and comfort. Randomly came across Ten Nails when I was in the neighborhood and in need of saving my hands and feet. They were ROUGH. Within the last hour of operation they were able to squeeze me in and take care of me. Staff here was super nice and very accommodating. My technicians were friendly and help bring my feet and hands back to life. For the price of my manicure and pedicure it was a little steep since I only had a buff, but I'm thankful for them letting me get in so last minute. Ten Nails is one of my favorite nail shops in South Austin! I've had normal, gel, and recently dip nails done here. On my most recent visit, my technician was Dan Linh and she convinced me to try a dip powder manicure. I really liked their color selection and went a neutral pink that matched my skin tone well (#111). Application was painless and easy. My nails turned out really good albeit a little bulky (that's dip for you though). I'm interested to see how long they last! Service here is good. If you have an appointment beware that it might be a little delayed as they're sometimes super slammed. This can be a little annoying at times. Otherwise, the people here are all so friendly and sweet. Dan Linh actually gave me a scarf from Vietnam when she learned it was my birthday the next day (it was super pretty and oh so sweet)! They all definitely take their time to deliver quality work. I've also had my eyebrows done here and they always turn out to be super good no matter the technician. I'm really picky about my eyebrows so I love that I now have a consistent place to go to for that. read more

So disappointed to leave this bad but honest review! I saw the large number of good reviews and was excited to get my nails done here. The staff were very nice and the salon was standard. Immediately after getting my nails done, however, I could just tell the quality wasn't great. The polish wasn't clean around my cuticles and I just didn't love my nails. My technician was super rushed and she had no attention to detail. Sure enough, less than 2 days after I got my gel nails done, they chipped. I went back to get them fixed, and the lovely staff were happy to fix them, however, it didn't take long for my nails to chip AGAIN. I've never, ever had this issue with gel. I started going to Lisa just a couple of months ago while my nails were very short. I have gone to her and gotten sns dip powder nails every time since then and my nails have grown a lot! I now have long natural nails that I am able to upkeep with the sns process. Lisa has a great eye for detail and perfection and is also very personable as well! Her skill set is extraordinary! I 100% recommend that you go to 10 nails and ask for Lisa if you want to have the perfect nails for an unbeatable price! I've tried so many salons in Austin (from Enfield to Buda) and think I found the best middle ground possible with Ten Nails. Staff is always friendly, they try to squeeze you in without appointments as best they can, do nice work, and don't charge an arm and a leg. I've been back 3 times with all different staff and haven't been disappointed yet. Don't be afraid to ask to see all their colors. They have MASSIVE drawers full of gel and regular polish. (The first time I went in I didn't realize how close it was to closing time and they did a full set for me (I think this was My who stayed). They just stayed late and I didn't even ask. I felt so bad but she never even mentioned it and still took her time to make sure I got a strong, good looking set.) read more

Well I now know why this salon came so highly Recommended. I drove an hour to get to this place and it was beyond worth it. The lady who answered the phone was so accommodating and even took me 30 minutes before closing! The color I picked out for my toes was running out so they redid my polish and also this is the best set of dip I've ever had! Upon learning the manager Nina did my nails. They closed at 7 but I didn't leave till 8:30. She was so meticulous and made sure I was so happy!!! Will be a customer at ten nail for sure :) read more

Ken did my nails and usually he is patient and does a decent job. Today I am not sure what happened. I went in for a mani and it turned out terrible. My cuticles were not cut, my nails look very bulky (the opposite of thin, which I asked for before we started), the polish that was previously on my nails was not removed in the corners of my nails, additionally, they were 15 minutes late for my appointment. I typically would not mind waiting but the fact that they didn't even acknowledge that they were late and offer an apology was unacceptable. Just terrible customer service and work. Do yourself a favor and continue your search for a different nail salon because this is not the place. read more

Great place to get your nails done, but know that they often do not stick to their posted hours. They close on Sundays now and on Saturdays often open later than 10am. Recommend calling before showing up to avoid disappointment. read more

Most recently this happened and I even told them immediately afterward that the color looked really different than what was shown in the book (be careful with 065 - it's more of a barf yellow than a spring green!!) but that I would sleep on it. Still didn't like it the next day so I went back for a color change which (with tip) came out to $50!! Making this whole manicure experience around $150+ They did give me a 15% discount but I still feel like that's an insane price to pay for a color change esp based on the circumstances. Overall, still a fan but feel like there's an opportunity to show up better for your (repeat) customers

I have been biting my nails my entire life--I'm one of those people you see and go, "OMG is she in pain?!" I decided I was going to get my nails professionally done in an attempt to quit biting. I was embarrassed and nervous they would make fun of me or not be able to do anything with them but they were so nice and helpful and made me feel super comfortable. I didn't know what I wanted other than to keep them short because I type all day at work and I'm just not used to having nails. They walked me through my options and we decided on gels. My first set lasted over 2 weeks with no complaints. They grew quite a bit, so on my second visit, I asked to take them off and start with a new full set instead of just a fill. I had a different technician and they were very consistent and understanding of my issue. I also got my eyebrows and lip waxed which was super quick and painless. My eyebrows are really long and uneven (thanks dad!) so again I was embarrassed but they made me feel like a normal person and I love the results. So Ken, Nina, Ana and their families are absolutely amazing! I have been going to Ten Nails for 8 years, basically a freshman in high school who just discovered waxing. Im about to be 23 and I will let my eyebrow hairs go crazy if i cant/dont have time to go to Ten Nails. Today I got my first shellack manicure. I'm so happy with it! The pedicure is also amazing, the orange exfoliate that smells like an Orange tree field, the hot towel, the massage. They also do this hot wax over your hands after your nails are done that makes your skin look, feel, and smell amazing! The price makes everything 10x better! I am forever loyal! read more

It may not look like much, located in a strip mall with dollar general and thrift stores around it, but this place is absolutely phenomenal. Booked an appointment an hour before I wanted to go and they fit me right in with no wait. Nina, one of the owners and manicurists, is exceptional. I got an SNS manicure done and her meticulous attention to detail made my manicure perfect. And I mean flawless. I am in love with the quality of this place and will happily return for future manicures- the 20-25 minute drive from the University of Texas campus to south Austin is completely worth it. read more

I called if they were able to take walk ins. They answered and told me to come in 15 minutes. That was pretty much the time it took me to drive there so I got there early and signed in, and didn't even sit down for five minutes before I was getting started. Ken was amazing. He did so well and was very careful the entire time because I have fragile nail beds. I don't have a picture but he did an amazing job. I never felt like I was being rushed and I felt that everything was cared for. Amazing! read more

Me and my sister got our nails done her and I usually don't get a manicure and I did and the lady that did my nails named Ana did such an amazing job!! She wanted to make sure me and my sister left happy. My sister's nails were great but she wanted more glitter on her nail and the lady before already did 3 layers. This is my favorite nail salon and the prices are very reasonable! I get the Deluxe Pedicure from Anna who is very attentive to my preferences and gives an incredible massage. I prefer to come during the day when it's less crowded but Anna works 6 days a week so appointments are easy to schedule. read more

Well every time she went to file and shape them the acrylic broke and she kept adding more and they kept breaking. I think by her 10 attempt of trying she just gave up and left them as they were. She painted them white when I finally got to see the product I was gagged. None of my toes were shaped , one of my toe nails was longer than my big toe and none of them were straight. They looked worse than when I came in. I politely asked her to just take them off and it was very clear that they were talking bad about me right there. I didn't really care about that I just thought it was a little unprofessional. I'm a firm believer if you can't do something then don't I was willing to wait for someone who could do that I liked. Anyways I ended up walking out of there with a really thick layer of acrylic on my toes.

Some things to note: They are renovating the area pedicure chairs where the pedicure chairs are, so it looks different and seems to be less busy in the morning. They used to serve beverages about a year ago so I'm not sure if that's on pause due to the renovation. This is a no frills shop! What you see is what you GET!
