She took 2 seconds to swipe over my toes with her metal tool. I will not let her serve me again, I will sit back and wait for someone else. In addition, the gel on my finger nails was sloppy. Didn't seal or whatever. Within hours the gel was detaching from the sides and quickly broke away. They sell gel stating it lasts longer. I came in on Saturday because me and my daughter were having a girl's day. We have never been to this nail salon before and just trying it out because I know a couple of people who go here. My daughter wanted to get her nails dipped with a design but neither her or the nail tech spoke up, so she just got it in yellow. He worked fast on her nails and was done before the end of my pedicure. I got a gel pedicure and picked out the color and everything and felt like it went faster than when I go to other establishments. Each time the color was put on my toe and the dryer was put right on top of the nail. I feel like she noticed but just buffed it out, and it happened on both feet. When we walked in, I ran into another person I know, and she was saying that it depends on the day and who is working. I'm assuming she didn't have a good experience, but we were having this exchange while she was paying. I probably should have taken that as a que, but I didn't. I found this place because I needed something quick in the area and found my new favorite place! It's hidden away, but worth the search. I can only explain this way, there's a difference between a creative person (SNS) and someone just doing a job. I recently moved here and Studio Nails and Spa was the first salon I tried and I've loved it here! I've had my nails done by four different techs and they're all the sweetest ladies! My husband has even enjoyed a manicure here and they did amazing! My personal favorite techs are Mimi and Ly, but they've all been so sweet! These were my most recent nails and they were so accommodating even when I asked them to switch from my original choice from a French nail design to putting the polish on the entire nail! Studio Nails is my new favorite spot to get a pedicure around Southpark Meadows. Conveniently located across from Target, the prices are really good (affordable). The deluxe pedicure was only $37 whereas at other salons in the area, something similar would have cost $55+. Both times I've gone, the nail techs did a great job! Went here for a gel mani and pedi. I'm normally very patient and understanding at salons but this was the bad experience I've had. They kept switching staff to do my service. *Most important: I noticed that their metal tools they used were not taken out of a sterilization bag before they used it on me, were placed back in the cart basket after me, and then after she was done with me went to her next person. That most likely means they don't sanitize their tools.* One of the staff was trimming my hand nails and didn't care to look that my nail bed was long underneath so she was about to cut it before I pulled my hand away. When I pulled away and explained why, she got frustrated at me for doing that and walked away. Another staff came and was using the machine with the sandpaper tip and went to rough and cut my cuticle. He got frustrated afterwards because I had pulled my hand away again to avoid it getting cut even more. Although I tipped the staff as i normally would. Overall, I would not go here again. read more

When I checked in, I had to do the same exact process as I did to make the appointment and they still asked me what services I wanted several times. I decided to treat myself to a pedicure and chose this place because it was close. The pedicure itself (scrub, massage, etc) was relaxing. However, when the tech started to paint my toes she did such a terrible job. The paint didn't even cover my whole nail and it was applied very thick. After asking for her to fix it 3 times I gave up. She then instructed me to sit at the drying station and would put a top coat on after. Then, another tech came to put on the top coat and the original paint was applied so thick that the clear coat ruined the pedicure. The tech ended up individually removing and repainting every single toe. I thought I was being punked. She did better than the original tech with the painting aspect, but still poor unfortunately. This whole ordeal took an hour and twenty minutes. I was really hoping to have a nice experience since I never treat myself, but it left me scared of getting a pedicure ever again. I've come to Studio Nails pretty regularly for the past few months but off and on for several years. They have a huge selection of nail polish and I rarely have to wait to get my nails done. They have several nail techs working at once and I don't think I've ever waited longer than five minutes to sit down and get my nails done. Huge Plus!!! Recently I wanted a holiday inspired set. I showed them pictures of what I wanted and they said they could do it. When it wasn't coming together exactly as pictured, other nail techs stepped in and fixed the polish to give me exactly what I wanted. I've always been happy with their customer service and I consider their prices super reasonable. I've seen some people post pictures of chipped polish but honestly it depends on the type of overlay and polish you get. I'm really hard on my hands and I typically get a solar overlay with gel polish. My polish never chips and if I do happen to break a nail, it's usually because I refilled my set way too many times. I went in on a Tuesday evening by and it wasn't really busy, I just wanted a polish change from gel to regular polish, most of my gel was already off. I also got polish on my toes. My nail polish on my hands didn't even stay on a day and a half without chipping. It was horrible. I went back in to ask them to go ahead and do a gel manicure. The lady removed the polish, barely took care of my cuticles and started putting the gel polish on. I had a chipped nail and asked for powder on that nail and she just ignored my request. All is done and I now have gel on my hands. This didn't even last but 4 days before chipping. The first time I paid for the polish change, feet and hands of $18. When I went back in for gel 'manicure' on my hands it was $18 I just don't understand. I do not use my hands a lot at work, I've gone other places with gel lasting 16 days. I will not ever return to this nail salon. read more

So disappointed!! I went here because my neighbor recommended it, and her nails looked good! Plus it's a lot closer to my house than my normal spot. Unfortunately, I did not receive the same experience as my neighbor. I wanted an SNS manicure because I'm going to Mexico for my birthday. The woman that did my nails was nice, but I had to ask twice for her to give me an actual manicure (filing, pushing and clipping cuticles). She was going to go right to the SNS powder without doing anything. I have had SNS many times, and my nails have never looked this wide. The powder goes wider than my actual nail and makes them look short and stubby. The shape of the nails is also ugly. I tried to ask for a more square shape, but the woman didn't understand. There are also spots in my nails where the color is missing - luckily I have a color very close so I can patch it up. Overall, the woman rushed the entire thing, and the "massage" was basically nothing. Also, there were two other woman HOVERING over our table almost the entire time she did my nails. It was very weird and uncomfortable. Not to mention, the place was kinda dirty. There was dust all over and the "cleaned" tools were in an open bag that looked like it had been reused 100 times. Therefore, not actually being sanitized. As mentioned in a previous review, the women yell and talk across the entire salon making it super weird. Overall, I am just genuinely disappointed with my experience and the work that was done. I was thinking about going back to see if they would re-do them, but I don't even want to waste my time. I'm just going to deal with it. Still sad $35 was spent on basically a waste. :( read more
