Plenty of parking sauna was so clean and beautiful and I was given cold aromethary towels to cool down. I used to love coming here, especially when Gabby was there, she always did an amazing job with my lash lifts and brows! Unfortunately, my most recent visit was really disappointing. My lashes were over-processed, with the ends looking fried and some curled in odd directions. I followed all aftercare instructions and did not expose them to steam or water for 24 hours. I've been coming here for a couple years and I've seen multiple service providers. They have incredibly reasonable prices. One of the things I love about them is they use the booking app vagaro (I think that's the name of it) that way you don't have to try and stop what you're doing or catch them near the phone to book. You can also book something in the middle of the night when you wake up and think of it...yes, clearly I do that, and bam, you've got an appointment the next day. They also have a cute little section of gifts from lotions and potions to any other kind of little stocking stuffer or last minute birthday gift. The owner must have a passion for hats because they also have a cute section of fun hats. They've always been nice in there and I am just a huge fan of the ability to book online. The spas centralized location is perfect for South or North Austinites! The interior is bright, beautiful and very clean (praise hands). It did absolutely nothing on my short straight asian lashes unfortunately so YMMV. I was upsold on doing brow lamination but ended up not going through with it. At the end of the service she handed me the aftercare, which was a mascara serum, but didn't explain that it's extra. Because my lashes barely lifted, I opted out. read more

I ended up getting a fire and ice facial with Jessica and it made me have glowing skin!!!! I was getting so many compliments on how great my skin looked. Austin traffic is a bitch, and it's not getting any better, but Glow Spa is worth the drive. They are incredibly flexible with scheduling, which helps, and surprisingly affordable given the superior services. I've been doing brow tints with monthly waxes for years, but I've never had them looking so precise with the tint as long-lasting than when done here. Adriana is the MOST GENTLE esthetician I've ever had, and gives incredibly meticulous attention to detail with every aspect of shape and length to get my face framed just right. Had an amazing service here! i went in for a lash lift and eyebrow wax and I have to say, what a phenomenal vibe! I have sensitive skin so I requested organic products for my facial. These were good and my skin felt good. The ambiance is quiet and clean and nicely decorated. My dissatisfaction is the aesthetician who provided services chose to speak in mumbles throughout the service. She would say the name and purpose of product but I couldn't understand her. As far as the wax, Brianna hands down is the most delicate waxer I've ever experienced! Normally I shed a tear (or two) when my eyebrows are waxed and I barely felt anything! I had been growing my brows out a while so I'm going to give that a slight bit of credit for why they are so full but I will say that I have never had more fuller and beautiful brows. Even my husband and sister commented on how amazing they look! The tint went on a bit dark but I don't mind as I know it will fade a bit over time. I love her space and how comfortable she makes every single visit. She has a great attention to detail and walks you through questions you might have about your skin, products, services, recommendations, etc. Gabby is so professional and you can easily tell she loves what she does. She is 100% the reason I keep going back to this place and why this is a 5-star review! My only issue is with the staff who answers phones/books appts/check out. Anytime I've asked a question I first get a not-so-subtle eye roll like I'm inconveniencing them and they seem to be annoyed. I've sat in their waiting room and have noticed this over the years and with all sorts of customers. In my opinion, and as a service-based business owner myself, I strongly believe any service related to the body or a person in any way should be always gentle and caring. Especially the first time. I found the service at this place to be very cold and mechanic. In, wax, out. No reassuring, no explanation of the procedure. I selected a service that I misunderstood and in the middle of it I realized that was a lot more than I needed. This was my first time and I would have appreciated a confirmation and explanation of what was about to be done with my face before we started but that wasn't the case. In addition, If you have plucked your eyebrows, you probably know the feeling/sound of a good pluck and one that cuts the hair instead of pulling it from the root. I started hearing/feeling my eyebrows getting cut one hair after another very quickly instead of properly removed form the root. I said very clearly and specifically that I did not want any hair to breaking, and asked to please make sure she was pulling the hairs instead of breaking/cutting them. She said yes of course. Well 1 week later and see the photo below... all hairs are coming in as in grown hairs because they were not properly plucked!! I was also not impressed by the shape of my eyebrows. I had let them grow for about a month and asked to discuss possible shapes I could have and that was pretty much ignored. She did not take the time to discuss any possibilities throughly with me at all. Due to a not so great service, bad results, and a very impersonal treatment, I will not be visiting this place again nor would I recommend it. It was clean and beautiful looking but the staff was very cold and even rude at the front desk (also by phone. I should have know form that first phone call) and the owner couldn't care less about the customers' first experience. read more

I would adore giving a 4-5 star review right now. Better yet, I would have loved for my experience at Glow to reflect such a rating as it seems to have with SO many others. The ambiance and product selection is on point! This earned the salon A star. But I'm literally thinking to myself - what the heck just happened?!? My lashes hardly look tinted (this isn't my first rodeo), but the biggest heartbreak is that the provider barely spoke two words to me and certainly did not consult me on what I want my look to be. I'm all for someone being self assured at their craft, but she waxed my brows too thin and NOW THEY ARE IN A TRIANGLE SHAPE. I've spent 18 months growing them out, softening the arch. I made it clear a discussion needed to happen concerning my brows. I liked them a bit disheveled. The first thing I said when I laid on her table is "I have a lot to discuss about my brows and only want the peach fuzz waxed" - but she just plowed on through driving her own agenda of what she thought was best for my brows/look. She literally could not be bothered by my input. I mentioned at last glance that she waxed too much and her demeanor was basically like "cool, would you like a bottle of water?" You gotta be more present with your clients than this!!! Upon leaving the salon I sent an email about the experience. Apparently this place is just way to Groovy to admit and right a wrong (Queue: "I'm too sexy by Right Said Fred). This explains the provider's demeanor because it must be the culture of the business as a whole. The reply I received offered no restitution or an apology and really could not have cared less that I wouldn't be returning. It was a feeble attempt by the owners to pretend to care. The response was, we will make sure this doesn't happen for future customers. Ok, great! I hope it doesn't, but that does nothing to subdue my awful experience. Maybe proper customer service is no longer chic. I'm new to Austin and totally bummed to say I won't be retuning to Glow. And I completely regret tipping the provider! But that's on me. read more

I've learned so much about my skin and they recommended great products to help get rid of ingrown I get from shaving and waxing. I've seen Jessica,Brianna & Julie now several times and they always still explain to me everything they are doing, why, check in and do amazing work! If they get anything but 4 or 5 stars those people are trippin. I've emailed them about ingredients I can't have because of allergies and they always get back to me and make sure all products are free of my allergens 10/10 best customer service. I have lived with these eyebrows for 45 years and I really thought they'd be the same shape, thickness, arch, etc forever. I didn't think I could have brows that were a better match for my hair color, more on-trend in shape, and still look like my natural brows. Well well well...was I wrong! The people at Glow Spa are artists and I appreciate them so much. I absolutely love my brows now. They look more like they did when I was younger (20 years ago), the color is perfect, they have the slightly thicker look I wanted. (No, they didn't give me full-on "Gen Z" tattoo looking brows! The balance was perfect.) The spa is gorgeous inside and the prices are absolutely fair. Yes, fair and reasonable! I will gladly pay their prices to keep these results! One thing to note is that my eyebrows were a little on the dramatic side RIGHT after the wax, shape, and tint treatment but within 2 days I had the perfect brows.
