Depending on her assessment, she will recommend treatments, or remove them, if needed to a regular facial. I haven't had a facial in years. Sigh. I am glad I found Sarah & Pearlescent on Yelp, because I am going to try to start going more regularly. The products she uses are awesome, Hugarian 98% organic stuff that smells of yummy fruit. The facial felt really good, and Sarah massages your hands, arms, shoulders, and neck too. She asked me if I wanted her to explain everything or just to sit back and relax. The pricing is great, and I got a Yelp special for only $60! Sarah really makes an effort to be accessible to her clients. She was very quick to respond to my inquires via email and was able to book me swiftly. I was super excited to get my first facial done, but I was worried my skin would hurt from extractions. I also was not sure what getting a facial done is like. Sarah actually made me feel so relaxed and pampered throughout the whole process! During my appointment, she asked if I would be okay with extractions. I felt so comfortable knowing she was interested in what I wanted instead of just going through the motions and treating me like any other customer. I had a Custom Facial done (which comes with a massage for your arms and legs); she catered the procedure toward my skin type/comfort and asked if I wanted any add-on services like an eyebrow wax. I did, and I liked the shape she made. The wax she uses is very gentle and did not irritate my skin. All the products she used were organic and smelled AMAZING. She asked about my skin's sensitivity to breakouts and inspected it to give me some tips following our appointment. She also introduced me to Eminence Organics Skin Care; I purchased a trial kit (~$50) with some of the products she used during my facial. Eminence has wonderful reviews online, and the products helped my overall skin texture/acne improve. She recommended I purchase a scrub or make a paste with baking soda to help my blackheads and T-zone, but it did not work well with my skin, so I discontinued that. I kept using the Eminence products and definitely recommend them. Yelp offers a coupon so I was able to get a decent price on the facial. Because I bought a trial kit of Eminence Organics Skin Care products, my total appointment price did run a bit high. However, that definitely is not a deal breaker for me. If you have the means and want to support a local business + invest in your skin, I really recommend you book an appointment with Sarah. My skin felt amazing afterward: soft, supple, and clean. I wanted to like Pearlescent but my experience was just ok. I purchased the yelp coupon and opted for the Ultimate Facial. The products that were used ended up burning my cheeks. Luckily since it was on my cheeks, the redness didn't look too bad, but they were rough for about a week. My skin purged a lot and I ended up with several blemishes in the areas extractions were done. But mostly, I just don't think my skin agrees with Eminence and I feel like I have rather tough skin. read more

WOW. The facial I had today was AMAZING! Sarah is sweet, professional, uses high-quality products, and gives great shoulder massages! She explained everything she was using and why (after asking me if I'd prefer for her to tell me, or to sit back and relax without explanations!). Wow, I can not say enough good things about the facial I recieved today. Sarah is a pro at reading your skin and then deciding what type of facial you need.
