From start to finish ~ New experience for me as we just moved to Austin~never had a Hydro Facial very nice, I usually get microdermabrasion on a regular schedule so today tried something different ~ My face didn't have any discoloration and she, Savannah even did some extractions. Imagine going to get a hydro facial treatment + micro dermabrasion for the first time because you've decided to start taking care of your skin but while you're getting a facial the esthetician uses the microdermabrasion tool too close to your hairline. As I am laying there i'm thinking "hmm she's mighty close to my hairline but surely she has more common sense than to be dragging that tool across my hair line and break my literal hair strands. (Keep in mind my hair was braided back so no hair was in the way or preventing her from executing her job.) Anywho, this thought about her probably breaking my strands stays in your head up until you take your braids down to check if she actually broke your hair and come to find out SHE DOES. I took my hair down today and the first two braids along my edge line has MULTIPLE strands of hair broken off. As someone who takes VERY great care of her hair and takes pride in healthy hair this is totally unacceptable. I AM EXTREMELY frustrated and will never recommend anyone to Savannah because of this experience. I am a Black Women who's very careful about the way my hair is treated and to go and get a new facial done just to leave with broken hair is just despicable. I honestly could go on and on about my frustration but what good is it going to do me? Other than driving myself into rage. I will never recommend anyone to Balm & Bubble/ Savannah. If you're reading this Savannah, you should be ashamed of yourself. Do better. read more

Disclaimer: This review is for their Cedar Park location. I was very excited about trying their hydrofacial/microdermabrasion service. I have an oily skin with clogged pores especially on the chin area. The clogged pores are on the surface and very easy to get out even with my own fingers. We did microdermabrasion and hydrofacial first, and then pore extraction. I walked out and looked in the mirror and the majority of my pores are still clogged/full. At first I thought they might have been deep and hard to get, but I tried getting them with my own fingers and they came out very easily. In addition, my appointment lasted only 50 minutes instead of 1 hour, and my aesthetician asked me questions/talked to me the whole time. I did not feel relaxed/refreshed at all. I have done microdermabrasion before and my skin glowed after walking out. At the end of the appointment, I left only 8% tip since I was unhappy with my experience. The aesthetician looked right at the iPad to see how much I left her and her whole demeanor changed when saying goodbye. I am not usually a person to leave reviews at all, let aside of negative ones. Maybe this is just my experience, but I am very unhappy with it and would not recommend this place. read more

All I can say is WOW! This place is amazing. Do not be misled by the nondescript outside, inside is clean and beautiful decor of lavendar and crystal and white- a great ambience for sure. I had the hydrofacial with microderm with Sara. First of all, Sara is the real deal. I've tried a lot of facials and microderm at other places, and Sara was by FAR the most knowledgeable about all things skin and was even telling me about options I'd never heard of- not just how everything is done but the actual science behind it. She was even talking to me about what happens to your body when you work out and I found it so interesting. She is so warm and personable and I honestly felt like I was hanging out with a friend! Plus, the facial went amazing and my skin was FABULOUS looking after. She even stayed late and showed me pictures of different procedures and answered any and all questions I had, even about supplements- not just her services. True customer service, she is a gem. I've already booked another facial next month with her! If I HAD to make stipulation- it's just that this is a little more no frills (which is fine for a medspa). You stay in your clothes and there's not any hot towels or soft music/aromatherapy. But, not needed when she does great work- just be aware if that's what you're into. I had a consultation about my goals for my skin, concerns, previous history, etc. Sara was very attentive, knowledgeable, and fun. She kept me at ease. During the treatment, she did a fantastic job--my skin looks and feels amazing! The facility is very clean, pretty, and laid out well. As a male, maybe there is a slight stigma for taking care of your skin and going to a spa, so I wasn't honestly a little unneasy and nervous. It felt like I was at the dentist with the suction tool that was used, but the Hydro Facial was fantastic and made a night and day difference on my face. Every other month, Sara does her magic with a hydro facial. She is great at what she does, professional, intelligent, knowledgeable and creative. My hairdresser asked me what I did to my face (e.g., surgery); he told me I looked younger than ever, and kept looking at me like..."sure, you didn't have surgery". I finally convinced him that it was Sara and her hydro facial, not surgery. My nail tech looked at me the last time I visited her and simply said "you look great" ... and left it at that...no scrutinizing or probing if I had surgery. One they to keep in mind is to be sure to TIP...this is a service they are providing at a VERY discounted rate and their time/expertise is valuable. The service is top notch! I've had plenty of hydrafacials but never one as thorough as this. Kelley did things to my face I had never heard of and she extracted so much gunk it was impressive. Keep in mind if you've never had a hydrafacial, this is not your sit back and relax type of facial. This is a "get sh&* done" facial. Sara patiently explained the results, made suggestions and answered and my questions. My appointment was for microderm and hydrofacial. Sara also added a light chemical peel at the end. Entrance is hard to find and a little confusion. My only complaint was that my esthetician texted me late the night before asking to push my appointment back to later in the day (which I was fine with) and then still showed up late to my appointment.
