While I was getting them done numbing cream was used and it actually doesn't even really hurt! They do peel over time too reveal their perfect color that matches my hair and face so well! I've been going to Hermosa Artistry for full set of lashes for a while now but I was very interested in the powdered brows because of the impressive pictures in here. I was very hesitant because I rarely wear makeup and I just wanted them to look a bit more shapely but still on the natural side. Linh explained the whole process and after a few times getting my lashes done by her and knowing how professional she is and how accommodating she had been so far working with me in order to get a custom set of lashes I had no doubt she will get it right. We booked the powder brow appointment and she took the time to really shape the brow to my face bone structure so they aren't any bigger than they need to be. As she worked through, she explained me the process and made me feel calm. She uses some sort of magic numbing cream because I barely felt what she was doing, it was mostly the noise of the tool. I was over the moon with the outcome. They look so natural that I get lots of compliments about how "nice my face looks" but they can't seem to be specific about what exactly is nice about my face! I went to her years ago several times The last time I went to her was for an eyebrow tint, called shadow brow Not only were they not done very well, nor did they last , she leaned on my eyeball so much it was extremely uncomfortable and even very painful ...I respectfully asked her to be careful, during the process, twice! that it was causing me discomfort... she listened, but then went ahead and continued to do the same thing. I felt in an impossible situation, and I tried to just bear it, even though it was very painful. Her hand pressed on my eyeball during the whole process of three hours, so long and so much that my eye swelled up the next day, and took several days for my eye to return to normal. I was terrified that my eye was damaged. She literally used my eye , for her hand to lean on while she did my brows, she may not have meant to, but I told her, and she continued to do it ... even a couple days later I specifically told her how upset I was, and what had happened to my eye, and she was not at all concerned, but definitely more worried about her reputation !! Very unprofessional and honestly a terrible job done of My Brows as well ! Anyway...because of this ... I would never recommend her ever again after leaving her excellent reviews in the past . LINH .... In response to your response.... I asked for you to redo My Brows because you did a terrible job, not all of us, have money to throw around some of us like to get what we paid for .... and I gave you the opportunity to understand as a professional, because I have been to you several times for my eyelashes and you did reasonably well, there's a lot to it, so please don't make it out to be my fault!! If you're looking for the best of the best in permanent make up, look no further!! Linh @Hermosa Artistry has you covered!!! I've always had issues with thin to no eyebrows and lips that seem to blend right into my face. I even went to West Lake Dermatology on Caesar Chavez DT and had my eyebrows done by an RN that claims to be one of the 1st of 7 that was taught by the creator of Microblading. With Westlake, all I can say was it was a terrible and painful experience and my eyebrows faded within months of the procedure with no option for correction. Since then I have been fearful of doing it again until I was introduced to Linh...and I'm so grateful I was. She answered all of my questions, educated me on the process of both pre and post care, and provided me with tools for aftercare...Westlake just told me what to buy & gave me a few days worth of grape seed oil. My left brow is half missing making it more difficult to fill as there is no brow line to follow. She is spot on with matching skin tone to color palate, very precise with her measurements, conscious about checking on potential pain level during the session and great with continued follow up both during initial fill and follow up powder brow sessions. (She was just as vigilant with my lip blushing). Not to mention...I appreciate that she always made time to respond to my questions when I reached out to her. I love this place!! No secrets here... First of all, Linh, the owner, is such a sweetheart. She's very soft-spoken, calm & reassuring and she knows her stuff! Before I scheduled my very first appointment with her, I reached out via text because I needed to explain my lash situation. (Wonder if everyone does this or am I just "extra" like that) I explained to her they I was traumatized by my previous lash experience (another shop another story) but was tired of my thin (nonexistent) eye lashes. She was patient and understanding and made recommendations based off my worries. My first lash-ing by Linh was a bit "itchy" so she explained that some (few) people are allergic for some of the products used so moving forward she'd use the sensitive skin products and we have not looked back. No problems since then. I have never had to wait for my appointment time as Linh is always punctual!! Hermosa Artistry is brightly lit always clean. The decor is beautiful and trendy. She has great taste in decor. I get so many compliments on my lashes and how natural they look. Linh is so talented. She also specializes in semi-permanent make-up!! Agree with most people here that Linh is very professional, does high quality of work, and is quick (took only one hour for full set install) and therefore trustworthy in the outcome of the install. She has over 20 years experience and doesn't pressure you in any manner for upgraded lashes or additional services. The facilities was overall clean and she has great precision since I didn't feel any discomfort. I actually fell asleep for a few min it was so relaxing! She educates you on the before and after care and even provides you a complimentary care package on your way home that comes with extra spools, visor guard for the shower for your first 48hrs and weekly cleanser. After the session, she booked me right away for a follow up appointment since she is always in high demand. With that being said, I am unsure why anyone would complain about an artists availability. You wouldn't think twice if a hair stylist, your doctor, your dentist, a high end restaurant, your lawyer, your nail tech, any specialist for that matter was booked months out due to their talent and specialty. It was very simple for me to book with Linh and I KNEW I wanted Linh because I have more trust in experiencing my first time with the business owner directly since they usually are the ones with the most experience. I went online found a slot, agreed to the terms and conditions which includes a late cancellation policy and no-show's charge that you would agree to at the time of booking. You don't walk into a salon asking for a high demand hair stylist and expect service right away so I have no problem with pre-planning my services, it helps me ensure I set out proper time out to maintain the quality of my lashes anyways so overall, I've had no bad experiences and would highly recommend! read more

This lady is the most unprofessional business owner I've ever experienced. Her schedule is booked up for months, and you'll have to get a new lash set each time if you just so happen to have a scheduling conflict, and have to cancel. She's extremely disrespectful, rude, and not understanding/empathetic to those of us with a busy schedule, (despite her also having a busy schedule.) She also tried to post my scheduling history on Yelp to try to prove "I missed an appointment" and that's apparently why I couldn't get booked for a whole month... when in reality, her schedule is impossible to keep a set schedule for fills. There's plenty of other eyelash artists that are compassionate of rescheduling appointments, and won't punish you for it! Life happens, but steer clear of this lady! She blocked me after I left her a negative review, as well. She is extremely immature. Not to mention, her lashes were HORRIBLY stiff, I went to another lady and was surprised to be told the lashes Linh gave me we're horrible quality. edit: I'm a full time college student with in-person classes, who missed one appointment, then was completely unable to ever get back in with you despite you having a supposedly "open" schedule.
